Realtime LDAP passwords
Hello, all. I'm afraid I've been dropped into the deep end even though
I am an Asterisk novice. I've set up a few tiny, tiny systems in the
past and have now been asked to pull together Asterisk, FreePBX,
Kamailio, RTPProxy, and Fedora Directory Server into a VoIP service.
After googling and reading for most of the last 24 hours, I finally have
my head around the components and how

Asterisk and LDAP
Hi,
I'm trying to get Asterisk running with LDAP to be able to
authenticate sip user registrations. I'm using Asterisk
(1.8.13.1~dfsg1-3+deb7u3) on a Debian server.
Unfortunately I wasn't successful so far.
My res_ldap.conf looks like this (so pretty minimal):

FOSDEM in Brussells - Feb 23-24
Friends,
I will be attending FOSDEM in Brussells Feb 23-24. Anyone else?
Me and Philippe Sultan (the Jabber/XMPP Asterisk developer) will be
there, so we could have a SIP/XMPP/Asterisk ad hoc meeting :-)
On Thursday, Feb 21, I will be in Utrecht, Netherlands for the free
Open Telephony conference at Media Plaza. There's still seats available
and a really good talk about ENUM with Patrik

cdr data
Hello,
I have an E1 and the possibility to use different caller ids in this E1, so, before a Dial, I always have a SetCallerIDNum("User", number).
When I check the CDR, the originator of the calls appears to be this "number" I set in the caller id, but not the actual user that originated the call.
Is there a way to set a callerid for the outgoing call, but on cdr records to

DCC model simulation in R
Hi,
I have used R rmgarch package to implement EGARCH ADCC model from which I
can extract conditional covariance matrix. Now I would like to introduce
positive and/or negative shocks to see the asymmetric response of
covariance. I have come to know that impulse response function (IRF) or
volatility IRF is not compatible for any asymmetric models, therefore, the
only way to introduce shocks into

[OT] Call for speakers: BOB 2.0
Friends,
In April, I'm organizing a conference here in Sweden about the new IP
Communications platform - SIP, Instant messaging, audio, video, text.
Open Standards, Open Source. Asterisk is part of a new platform that
we're building. The new version, 1.4, integrates with Jabber and
there's a lot of good examples on new applications that integrate
Asterisk with FaceBook,

Sampling encoder timings between libtheora-1.0 & libtheora-1.1beta3
As requested by Ralph in my introduction e-mail to this list [1], I've
gone ahead and done some sample test timings for encoding between
libtheora-1.0 and libtheora-1.1beta3, as available from the Theora
website [2].
So far, I've tested with 4 different files that I generated with content
I already have. The files, in brief, are the following:

plotting intersecting planes
Hi all
In two days, I am giving a small, informal workshop in our
Department about using R. Initially, it was just for statistician,
but surprisingly (to me anyhow) many mathematicians are also
coming who have a MATLAB background. They are coming at the
Workshop from a teaching perspective.
They are considering using R to avoid licensing issues with
MATLAB. One thing they were hoping me to

new with xcp 1.6 - iscsi raw configuration
Hi all,
I have experience with XEN, but I just start making tests with XCP.
My XEN installation uses iscsi disks in raw mode (i mean using phy:/...
for vm definitions where the block device is an iscsi lun managed by the
dom0).
I''m reading citrix manuals and googling a lot but still i''m not sure
about the way to make such a configuration.
Any of you has a tutorial for that

${HASH(SIP_CAUSE, ...)} and peer name
Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what was the return code of SIP for a call.
The problem is that HASH(SIP_CAUSE) require a peer name, but when I try to
retrieve the peer name using ${CHANNEL(peername)}, I have an error message
that CHANNEL does not have peername or it is not available to be used.
I tried to print it with NOOP on a live channel, and also after hangup, both
with the same error

Hello LLVM-Dev,
Attached are:

· The DAG before the legalization phase
The DAG illustrated performs a signed division for type i32. As can be seen, the SDIV node was converted to a series of other nodes (which includes a MULHS node). In the target lowering class of our target, the SDIV has an operation action of custom. Does anybody know where in

Problem installing rJava under FreeBSD
Hi there
I am setting up a FreeBSD server for my research department at university,
and one of my teachers needs specifically R modules like tm, RWeka, rJava
and the like.
I have installed FreeBSD 8.0/i386 and applied the relevant security patches
as well as the native FreeBSD JDK 1.6 with its latest patchset.
I have installed R 2.11 and enabled Java support on it. Now, when trying to

Asterisk and XMPP (Jabber) : testing new application JabberReceive
Friends,
a new dialplan application is now available for testing :
http://svn.digium.com/view/asterisk/team/phsultan/jabberreceive/
The corresponding feature request is located here :
http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=12569
What can you do with it? Well, a direct usage of this application is
to make an easy to use GoogleTalk voice gateway out of Asterisk. Here
is an example (assuming the
