linuxthreads & Printers in Centos5...
Dear All, Firstly, many thanks for the hard work put in by the development team :) Now I have a couple of problems, any help welcome: 1) Some of our software needs linuxthreads (i.e. InsightII) but it's closed source and the writers (Accelrys) are unlikely to respin the code as they want us to move to a different program. Is there any way of installing another set of glibc libs on centos

Xen 3.0.2 on AMD64 - and initrd fun :)
Mm, I have a big Quad-Opteron.. thing.. that I''m trying to get Xen onto. I''ve used the 3.0.2 binary-install mode, updated menu.lst as per the README, but I need an initrd which contains the HP cciss RAID driver, and no Xen initrd image was installed into /boot. Now I notice xen-3.0.2-2-install/install/lib/modules/2.6.16-xen/kernel/drivers /block/cciss.ko But I

Compiling Linuxthreads
I'm trying to compile Linuxthreads from ports on my FreeBSD 4.8 system here, and for some reason I keep getting this: You can use an experimental patch to reduce the number of condition variable triggered context switches by defining WITH_CONDWAIT_PATCH Some unsafe calls to exit() can be detected by defining LINUXTHREADS_DETECT_UNSAFE_EXIT, see files/README.FreeBSD for more info. ===>

Finding the rhyme for has_many :through
Hi all, I am NOT a person with English as my mother language and I haven''t been programming long enough to be natural in these kind of things. And if that isn''t bad enough, I am a newbie on Rails too... So please enligthen. I am trying to build a simple tool for my shop. I have many products that I sell in my shop and of course I have many suppliers for the products. Thus

Automatic forwarding of Xprint server displays?
Is it possible to enable automatic forwarding of Xprint server displays? The -X/-Y switches just forward the video Xserver display but it seems there is no way to get the Xprint server displays forwarded, too. Thanks... Re: [libvirt] increase number of libvirt threads by starting tansient guest doamin - is it a bug?
Hi Michal, thank you for your answer. so if i understand that correctly, no matter if i shutdown or destroy the domain and no matter if it is a transient or an persistent vm, the thread should disappear, right? in my case they still exist, also an hour after i destroy the domain (and don´t start any new one). i use libvirt-1.1.35 on fedora core 20, for information. all the best max

include scripts into main file (the LaTeX way)
Dear R-people, I want to use an idea from LaTeX in the work flow with R. It is possible in LaTeX to have a main file from which other files are called (ie included). So for example if you have book, the main index file would call each chapter separately. Is there something comparable in R that follows the above 'include' idea from LaTeX? A main file that calls parts of an analysis or

CentOS 4.4, libstdc++ 3.4.6 and NPTL
Hi, I have been using CentOS 4 on a UML (User-Mode Linux) box for some time (>1 year) and have kept up to date with updates. I think I started on CentOS 4.1 and have progressively "yum update"'d since. User-Mode Linux, or at least the version of it that my hosts use, doesn't support NPTL. This hasn't been a problem to date; I've just moved /lib/tls out of the way, as

Sipura endpoints
Anyone have experience with Sipura's? Anyone know if they offer a warranty? Would like opinions on these, good or flame. We bought *one* to test with and it died, can't even get a response from Sipura "support". Could anyone recommend another device to replace these? Prefer 1 or 2 port design. Ty :-)
