Problems with DTMF
I've got a problem with DTMF, again.
My asterisk box is connected with the outside world (PSTN) via a sip
proxy. The problem is that for some reason, I need to use rfc2833 for
signaling digits to the gateway and inband to accept digits from outside
(eg. when someone dials one of our DIDs). It's possible to do this?

problems with international dialing
Hi,
I'm struggling to set up a plan to allow international dialing from my US
location. As I understand it, an international call can have 9 to 15 digits
including country code. The problem is that the call always goes through
after I've entered the 9th digit.
My service provider is BroadVoice, my phones are Grandstream GXP-200's.
DTMF is set on the phone to be via SIP INFO and

wifi phones - desk
Hi,
I'm provisioning an office with limited cabling. I'm looking for a desk based wifi phone. Most of the ones I've seen are handsets. Any ideas?
Thanks, WILL

"Please Press Any Key to Accept a Call"
Hi,
I'd like to add a feature to my asterisk system that tries to find a user among a couple of locations, and then goes to internal voicemail if the user doesn't pick up. (e,g, an internal extension and a cell phone). The catch is that I want the user to manually accept the call to prevent it from going (for example) to the voice mail on my cell phone.

multi-regression with more than 50 independent variables
Hi R Users,
I am going to run a multiple linear regression with around 57 independent
variables. Each time I run the model with just 11 variables, the results
are reasonable. With increasing the number of independent variables more
than 11, the coefficients will get ?NA? in the output. Is there any
limitation for the number of independent variables in multiple linear
regressions in R? I attached

domU Networking Issues
Hi,
I have Xen 3.0.3 installed on CentOS 5.5 with 2 paravirtualized domU''s
configured to use the default bridge networking and am having networking
issues. If I boot the computer fresh I am able to ping dom0 and can SSH
into it and start the domU''s.
The following ping snippet demonstrates the problem. The first group of

Samba Very Slow When Using AFS and MS Office (is this a Bug?)
Hi All,
I am having a problem with Samba that seems to be a bug. I say this
because I read the archives and they described a problem similar to mine
and were told that it was a bug in older version of Samba and the latest
version should have it fixed. I am running what is essentially a RH 7.3 on
a 1.4GHz Athon with 1GB or RAM. I compiled Samba 2.2.5 in /opt/samba-2.2.5
and am using the following

Issue using tinc-vpn on Windows Server 1709 with Docker Overlay Network
Hi Marc,
A number of bugs have been found and fixed in the code that deals with
Windows devices in tinc 1.1:

Unfortunately, these fixes have not made it in a tinc 1.1 release yet,

Issue using tinc-vpn on Windows Server 1709 with Docker Overlay Network
I've not had success with using tinc and docker together. I came up against similar problems. Docker iptables in Linux seem quite complicated as well, messing with the network stack.
I've seen a few tinc docker images that run tinc as a container - I haven't tried this.
Please let us know if you do actually get it working - im very interested to know.

Codes negotiation problemsbetweenAsterisk1.4beta2 and Aastra 480i
The problem with the extra ptime descriptions in the SDP has been fixed in Asterisk (see http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/svn-commits/2006-October/017694.html). I've got the latest version of the 1.4 branch from SVN and have verified that the codec negotiation is working again.
If you don't want to try the latest SVN version, then you'll have to restrict the phones to a single codec

sshd doing dns queries on localhost?
Hi,
I noted on my 4.7 machines that when a ssh conection is made, the
following PTR query happens (10.11.1.11 is the src address in the example):

11.1.11.10.in-addr.arpa. (41)

Deep copy of factor levels?
Hi
It seems that selecting an element of a factor will copy its levels
(Ubuntu 13.04, R 3.0.2). Below is the output of a script that creates a
factor with 10000 elements and then calls as.list() on it. The new
object seems to use more than 700 MB, and inspection of the levels of
the individual elements of the list suggest that they are distinct objects.
Perhaps some performance gain could
