Dial String Questions
Hi all-
My TDM long distance is provided by MCI. We use account codes where MCI
sends a challenge tone after receiving 1NXXNXXXXXX. Anyone have any
suggestions of how to accomplish this? I can't get the soft phones to send
the DTMF (the other digits go down the d-channel of our PRI). I also have
not bee able to get the dial or the outgoing queue command to work. Anyone
run into this?

Cisco 7960 International
I'm having a problem with my Cisco 7960 phones with the SIP image. When i
try to dial a international number i keep getting a busy signal but i dont
see anything on the asterisk console (-vvvvvvvvvc) like i do when i dial
local or long distance numbers. It makes me think the phone is doing this
and not sending the request. I tryed blanking out the dialplan.xml with the
below config.

Problem with CHAN_SCCP
Hi, I have an asterisk running great, with 2 cisco 7912 phones converted to
SIP, and a cisco 2600 xl w/ E1 and SIP. I?m thinking to expand the test
adding more 7912, but I prefer not convert all the 7912 to SIP, so I?m tying
to put CHAN_SCCP to work. I?ve get the sources from cvs.sourceforge.net but
when I try to compile, get the followings errors:
[root@asterisk01 chan_sccp]# make

chan_sccp / 7960: ALERT_INFO?
I am impressed, I have been trying this for sometime using the SIP image and the only difference I can create is a 'single' and a 'double' ring on the phone. I use the 'single' ring for phone calls and the 'double' ring for the doorbell. I would love to be able to choose a ring tone based on the incoming msn or callerID. The idea of the phone shouting 'Its the

I didn't have a spare 7960 to use this week, so maybe some line issue is
still present.
- fixed a memory leak on database updates (dnd, cfwd*)
- fixed old memory leak on unload (now unload chan_sccp.so and load
chan_sccp.so work. It does reload the config when asterisk is running)

cisco 7960 sccp firmware version?
I have some Cisco 7960's and want to use them with SCCP - I have gotten
it working with a few different firmware versions but all seem a little
flakey. I know that SCCP is not as solid as SIP but am wondering, which
firmware version is advised for use with chan_sccp from

chan_sccp availability?
hi,
I'm trying to get the latest chan_sccp. The links from
http://chan-sccp.berlios.de are all dead. Is it just me? Does anyone
know an alternate source to get chan_sccp?
Seems like chan_sccp is the way to go if I have a bunch of cisco
phones I don't want to use SIP on? Anyone else have an opinion on the
built in asterisk skinny vs the chan_sccp?
thanks,
Andy

- very experimental hint (busy status line lamp or icon) support. This
is a very experimental system so it might not work properly with
particular cisco phones. 7960, 7970 and 7940 with recent firmware does
work great. Old phones can't, of course, use the hint system.

Cisco 2620 as PRI gateway
I just inherited a Cisco 2621 with a VWIC-1MFT-T1 card in it. Can I make
this thing into MGCP gateway or even a SIP gateway for asterisk? Seems like
it should bee useful for something!
I'm perfectly happy to do my homework, but also don't feel thee need to
reinvent the wheel! So, links with relevant info would be appreciated. If
there is a config for a 2621 being used as a gateway
