Quick Question - Jabra Headset and Aastra 53i - Where is the speaker/headset enable setting on Aastra UI?
Hi Everyone,
I can connect the Jabra GN2124 + GN2100 (smart cord) to the Aastra 53i
receiver port and I get a tone. But when I connect it to the headset port
there is no tone. I am running firmware 2.4 and I can't seem to find that
DHSG, EHS or whatever the setting maybe called to enable to get this headset
work with the phone. Can anyone quickly tell me where the audio options are

Chan_bluetooth and AudioGateway phone [long]
Hello,
I start trying to use a USB dongle and a Bluetooth GSM phone to make GSM
call with asterisk using the BLT channel provided by the GSM phone.
Unfortunately I get a "Everyone is busy/congested at this time" whenever
I try to Dial("IAX2/****@****/2", "BLT/MotorolaLara/3474501***")
For sure I make some mistake in the configuration. Unfortunately I don't

Compiling chan_bluetooth
Hello, I?m trying to use my phone with asterisk to get GSM connectivity but
I can?t compile the code.
I got the asterisk, chan_bluetooth, zaptel and libpri sources, the last two
ones compiled perfectly.
I have added this to the /usr/src/asterisk/channels/Makefile:
include /usr/src/chan_bluetooth/Makefile
and I?ve also added chan_bluetooth.so to the CHANNEL_LIBS var.
When I do "make

i was reading about connecting a cellular phone over chan_bluetooth.
I was wondering, if one is able then to make/receive concurrent calls or if
you can make just one at time?

Cannot compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1
The short of it:
I am unable to compile chan_bluetooth on Asterisk 1.2.1 on CentOS 4.2.
I installed using the Asterisk@Home 2.2 iso. Server is a plain
Celeron 2.93GHz box. Asterisk source is in /usr/src/asterisk, newest
chan_bluetooth source is in
/usr/src/asterisk-test/bluetooth/chan_bluetooth (I have two older
versions in other directories).
Steps taken:
Followed the instructions here to a

Fw: Compiling chan_bluetooth
Just to close the thread. The problem was that I was using an old version of
the code.
If anyone has the same problem, you can download the code from here:

Good luck,

chan_bluetooth, no voice
I am running Asterisk 1.0.9 with chan_bluetooth (kernel 2.6.11)
I have managed to get the module loaded and it connects to my phone and
dials (Nokia 6310i) okay, but once the call connects I hear no sound on
either end.
It is not who I am calling since it works with any other bluetooth headset
or without one. It isn't the SIP phone or codecs because they work with
any other number.

chan_bluetooth problems
Has anyone had experience with Theo's chan_bluetooth with asterisk-1.2.0 on FC3.
When I try to make a call to my home through the channel my phone shows calling but my home phone never rings.
I get this on screen:
== Spawn extension (outgoing, 3234600, 2) exited non-zero on 'SIP/2299-9131'
-- Executing Dial("SIP/2299-7743", "BLT/John/3541107") in new stack

chan_bluetooth.so
I've just set up 1.0.9 with chan_bluetooth.so, my Nokia 6680 registers
and I can dial out and the called phone rings.
The problem is that the Nokia keeps ringing it doesn't know that the
call has been answered.
(System is SFR calling to France Telecom POTS)
Any thoughts?

Some feedback and issues on using chan_bluetooth
I have a Motorola Razr successfully connected to asterisk using a
bluetooth dongle and chan_bluetooth. Here's some issues I've run
across:
- You have to ignore the instructions in bluetooth.conf, saying to run
"sdptool search --bdaddr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx 0x111F" to determine the
correct channel to use for your phone. My phone reported Channel 7,
but will not work with anything

chan_bluetooth, mobile handset as VoIP terminal?
I have been looking at chan_bluetooth, so far being unable to make it
compile with Asterisk SVN trunk.
I was wondering about the different ways it can be used. What I have read so
far implies two possibilities:
1. Asterisk pretends to be a handsfree unit, and can use the cell phone
for placing calls over the mobile network, or answer inbound calls from
the mobile network.
2. Asterisk

Mac Mini and chan_bluetooth, has anyone told The o if it works?
I googled on this for about an hour and the most relevant hit I got was, of
course, the first hit:
http://www.sowerbutts.com/linux-mac-mini/#support
In it, he indicates that the stock Bluetooth module "should work, but
untested" - he doesn't qualify the statement with anything. Has anyone tried
chan_bluetooth or even the Bluz stack on a Mini or a G5? If so, under Linux
or OSX?

Xten SIP client for Macintosh OSX
[this post is just as much for the archives as it is for immediate consumption]
Somehow I had completely missed the announcement that XTen Networks
had released a SIP client for Mac OSX. Well, they have. It seems to
mostly work, even! Very cool.
The User interface leaves something to be desired, with it's menus
trying to force me to use cell-phone sized windows (!!!!) to

Bluetooth discussions
IRC channel chatter says that there are some new developments with a
cool presence trick that Mark has come up with for bluetooth devices.
I know a bit about it, but I think the general population here would
like to see some details if they're available.
Mark - care to give the list a rundown on the topic?
In addition, are there plans for a bluetooth channel driver? The
Jabra headset is
