[OT] Centrex Question
I haven't dealt with Centrex for a long time, and one of my customers is
being courted heavily by a Sprint salesperson.
Am I not correct in assuming that each "line" of Centrex corresponds to
an "extension" in the PBX world?
This site has 2 POTS lines and 5 extensions, and they told me that for
the same thing they're paying right now (~$40/POTS line) they will be

mobile centrex solution
anyone know of a solution where mobile handsets out roaming the pstn
cellular network can be used and treated as full fleged centrex
extentions, i.e. I can transfer a call that comes in on a wired
centrex copper pair out to a cell phone and the cell phone can
transfer the call back or vice versa where the cell phone recieves the
call directly and can transfer to the office all without hairpinning

Asterisk in a Centrex environment?
Does anyone know what would be involved in making
Asterisk work as a voicemail system in a Centrex
environment? We have a Centrigram voicemail system
that belongs in the Smithsonian. There are analog
lines coming into the box and a 56KB data feed from
the phone company's switch.

Flash(), Centrex Lines, and 3 way calling
Greetings, List.
I have my Asterisk box setup with 8 Centrex lines that were "left over"
from our old PBX system. My boss is asking me to set up Asterisk so
that he can flash hook and make an outgoing call on the same line to
have a 3 way call.
This is what he wants to do:
1) Incoming call on his Centrex line
2) Flash hook and dial a new number (goes out the same line)
3) Flash

Need help on running Heckman Correction Estimation using R
Team,
I am trying to resolve the self-selection bias of a sample in an experiment
and would like to run the Heckman Correction Estimation using R. Can
someone help me with the R-Code... I tried searching for the discussion, but
not successful. Thanks in advance,
Best,

Heckman regression / adjustment for standard errors?
Hello folks,
I am trying to estimate the two-step Heckman regression model. I would like to make an adjustment for intragroup correlations. Stata can implement this with the "cluster" option, but I am really hoping to stick with R. It seems that the micEcon package is the primary source for this two-step regression model (i.e., heckit), but I can't find a way to make the

heckit / tobit estimation
Dear All,
we (Ott Toomet and I) would like to add functions for maximum likelihood (ML)
estimations of generalized tobit models of type 2 and type 5 (*see below) in
my R package for microeconomic analysis "micEcon". So far we have called
these functions "tobit2( )" and "tobit5( )".
Are these classifications well known? How are these functions called in other

Robust vce for heckman estimators
When using function heckit() from package ‘sampleSelection’, is there anyway to make t-tests for the coefficients using robust covariance matrix estimator? By “robust” I mean something like if a had an object ‘lm’ called “reg” and then used:
> coeftest(reg, vcov = vcovHC(reg)).
I’m asking this because in Stata we could use function heckman and then use vce option “robust”. We could do the

Unable to reproduce Stata Heckman sample selection estimates
Hello,
I am working on reproducing someone's analysis which was done in
Stata. The analysis is estimation of a standard Heckman sample
selection model (Tobit-2), for which I am using the sampleSelection
package and the selection() function. I have a few problems with the
estimation:
1) The reported standard error for all estimates is Inf ...
vcov(selectionObject) yields Inf in every

PROBIT REGRESSION FOR GROUPED/CLUSTERED DATA
Hello all
I have been working to fix this for weeks now, It should be simple to fix.
Please help
Let me explain what I am doing, I have a data set for 65 countries over a
period of 9 years (2000-2008). Each country has on an average say 2000
interviews, so that the total set has roughly 65*9*2000 data
points/observations (of course there are missing vales as well). Now let me
explain how are the

Curso en R?
Buenos días,
Os escribo porque ando trabajando con una base de datos "count data" en R y
estoy aplicando varios modelos: Quasi Poisson, Negative Binomial, Zero
Inflated Models, Tobit y Tobit con Heckman.
Me gustaría profundizar en la interpretación de los modelos (coeficientes y
parámetros descriptivos de cada modelo) y los test de comparación entre
ellos (Test de Vuong, Wald, Log

Data simulation with R
Hi,
I am currently on a placement here at GSK for my studies, and I'm working on
Heckman Models. I have to make simulations, in order to see whether these
models are efficient or not.
I have to generate a dataset under the following constraints:
- outcome is 0 or 1
- one control group, one treatment group, there must be no treatment effect
- generate one continuous variable and one

Suerte.

PBX Functionality How-to
Hello,
I had a partner of mine present a Centrex 21 brochure and ask how many of
those features can I fulfill. There is nothing out of the ordinary, it's
stuff like call hold, call forward, 3-way calling, etc. Has anyone
assembled a how-to that shows how to configure PBX or Centrex type
functionality? I found one in the voip-info wiki but only a couple of
topics were filled out.

extracting characteristics of datasets from data()
I can use data() to find the available datasets in a package, but I'd
like to extract and display some additional
information for each dataset than what is provided by data(), e.g.,
class() and dim() for datasets for which
these are available. I'm stuck on using using lapply properly with
objects, rather than the names of objects
that I get from data()

Heckman estimation
Hi,
I wrote a function to perform a two-step Heckman (also known as "heckit")
estimation. This function is mainly a wrapper function to "glm" (1st step
probit estimation) and "lm" (2nd step OLS estimation). Though this function
is not perfect yet, it is IMHO already very useful. Since there were some
questions about Heckmann estimation in this list, I would like
