Hi all !
I have a box here that is till running tao linux, and I hadn't time to
migrate to centos. This morning, I got to taolinux.org, and see that the

Does someone have the "howto" on how to migrate frm tao to centos nearby ?

Finished print jobs are piling up on windows clients
Printing from windows clients to Samba through cups works perfectly but
old (finished) print jobs are piling up in the print queue for the
printer on the client side.
I never had this problem with the clients when the server was running
RedHat 6.2 with Samba 2.2.8 and LPD. The server has
been replaced with a server running a RedHat Enterprise Linux rebuild
(TaoLinux). The Samba version is

Kernel packages and 3rd party kernel modules
Hi,
I'd like to come back to this topic. We've discussed this before on IRC
but there's still no acceptable solution implemented.
3rd party kernel-modules are build against the official Red Hat kernels,
to make them work with the TaoLinux/CentOS kernels there are specific
requirements:
+ kernel RPM package should provide the same version/release
+ kernel version/release should

bug in shorewall shorewall-2.1.7-1 rpm??
Hi!
I installed shorewall shorewall-2.1.7-1 on a newly installed box.
When using 1.4 versions I could enable shorewall in ntsysv, now shorewall
doesn''t show up in ntsysv?
I am running shorewall on a RedHat Enterprise Linux rebuild
(www.taolinux.org).
Is this a bug or a feature?

H323 Disconnects after 15+ minutes
I have posted my problem on the link below, but didn't get any answer. I am hoping someone here can help me with this issue. Here's my problem:
I am using H323 to talk between Asterisk and Avaya IP Office 500. For
some strange reason, when we are talking on a VoIP call, we get
disconnected after 10+ minutes. We have two other Elastix box, but none
of them are getting disconnected. From

S4 method setClass prototype definition question
Dear list,
this is not a problem report -- I would like to ask for advise what the
recommended and safe way to perform the following is or what problems might
arise in doing it differently.
The question is: What is the recommended way of providing a default value in a
prototype statement for a derived class for a slot provided from a parent class?
I have first consulted the methods package

[Weft QDA users] Shifty Markings - round 2
Good Afternoon,
I''m new to the mailing list and was wondering if anyone could help me with my current headache. I saw in the previous posts that someone else has had the problem of shifty markings. I too am finding the text immediately above what I wrote appearing in the coding reports, even though the coding in the documents themselves remains as it should. The project involves

the "union" of several data frame rows
Hi,
I have a question about how to obtain the union of several data frame
rows. I'm trying to create a common key for several tests composed of
different items. Here is a small scale version of the problem. These
are keys for 4 different tests, not all mutually exclusive:
id q1 q2 q3 q4 q5 q6
1 A C
2 B D
3 A D B
4 C D B D

Redirections, Duplicate Content & Permalinks
Hi,
Recently I''ve looked at trying to get a permalink system up to
increase my site''s ranking in google (and to have nice looking URLs);
however I''ve been very worried about google and duplicate content.
I currently already have a "flaw" in my site, in which if you go to
mysite.com/tutorials/ID it will bring you to the same place as

avoid multiple render per action
Hello,
I have a hash that contains categories, and each category ID is a
hash of subcategories. What i want to do is dynamically load that
hash, loop thru it, for each category , subcat run a query against the
DB, and render a partial. The issue is i put the render:partial in a
for loop but you can only render once per action. What is the best
way to loop thru all my categories without a

How do I construct a one matrix from another? (newbie)
Apologies if this is an obvious question but I am teaching myself R and the
occasional push in the right direction is much appreciated?
I have a data.frame containing data that looks like this

1 a
1 b
2 c
3 a

I want to assemble the vector of all the items bought by a particular
customer and can't quite see how to do it.

Rendering partials with pagination
I currently have a call to this action, which I''d like to paginate:
def get_words
@catid = params[:category]
@words = Category.find(@catid).words
render :partial => "word_display", :collection => @words
end
As you can see, a word_display partial is rendered for each word.
If I add the pagination call (getting the links object), how can I then
