Asteris 1.8 and mISDN - 'mISDN' (cause 66 - Channel not implemented)
HI,
I tried to configure Asterisk 1.8 on one of my test-hosts.
I've installed from centos-asterisk.repo
(http://packages.asterisk.org/centos/$releasever/tested/$basearch/):

Distributed ACD Queues
It seems that I am having a heck of a time explaining my attempts at distributing ACD Queues to the list. Here's one little problem, that's only a piece of the puzzle.
dundi.conf:
180q => global_dundi_q_pbx1,100,IAX,dundi1:${SECRET}@${IPADDR}/${NUMBER},nopartial
180q => global_dundi_q_pbx2,200,IAX,dundi2:${SECRET}@${IPADDR}/${NUMBER},nopartial

Zap<-->IAX codec?
Hi,
at my Asterisk box, I have a few of IAX2 phones (configured with
alaw/ulaw/gsm codecs, in this order) and a PRI E1 line.
In iax.conf I hav:
disallow=all
allow=alaw
allow=ulaw
allow=gsm
During some incoming call, I read at console:
-- Executing Dial("Zap/2-1", "IAX2/215|20|TtwW") in new stack
-- Called 215
-- Call accepted by 10.97.1.7 (format ulaw)

Sharing a dialplan
Hi,
I need to connect two sites and two Asterisk servers sharing their dialplan.
In fact users usually can be moved at different offices and carry their
phone number.
What's the best way to do this?
- switch statement
- DUNDI
?
Thanks for any help

macro-dial
Hi,
I'm trying to edit an AMP-derived dialplan: the macro "dial" uses the AGI
script "dialparties.agi" to find the extension to call.
I'd like to drop this script: does anyone can explain me what is its main
job?
Thanks

Modifying dialplan for DUNDi compatibility
Greetings all,
I'd like to start implementing a private DUNDi peering group between one of
our asterisk servers hosted at a datacentre and the various asterisk boxes
sitting at clients' premises.
On most of the clients' boxes the dialplan will have an [in-pstn] section
containing the various numbers that should be recognised by that box. Where
they're from a VoIP provider they

CallerID popup
Hi,
I'm trying to write a small Visual Basic app to throw a popup with
CallerIDNum when a call center agent answers a queue call.
Does anyone know what is the right manager event to intercept?
Thanks

Problem with an automatic responder
Hi,
I have this setup:
(PSTN E1 PRI) -- Asterisk -- (crosscable) -- Alcatel PBX --- analog phones
and a few of VoIP phones directly connected to Asterisk.
Calling a number (only one until now!) - an automatic responder (IVR) - from
VoIP phones works, from analog phones doesn't work: NOANSWER after a few
seconds. I'm using no 'r' in dial options (this caused a problem with an IVR

Requested contexts didn't get merged
Hello,
I have two asterisk servers and I would like to merge their dialplans. I
thought DUNDi would be a natural choice.
I created the following configuration on the first server:
iax.conf
Code:
[dundi]
type=user
dbsecret=dundi/secret
context=dundi-local
dundi.conf
[general]
ttl=4
autokill=yes
cachetime=30
entityid=00:06:5B:8E:B0:08
secretpath=dundi
bindaddr=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
port=4520

Clustering "NEW THREAD", Almost Working
All,
I made some progress, but it seems the further I go with clustering the
harder things get. Hmmm, I guess if it were easy, it would be
documented......
Anyhow, I have 1 * server as the DUNDi peering master with a ttl=1. The
only function of this server is to lookup where other sip peers are
registered and forward that info on to the requesting * server.
I have 4 * servers accepting

Plan to free myself from AAH
Hi,
I'm actually using a slightly old version of AAH with Asterisk 1.2.1,
because at first install it was perfect for my moderate knowledge of
Asterisk. It is working well but I gradually introduced many changes to
dialplan during normal use and now I'm feeling like in a straitjacket!
Moreover I'd like to have the chance to upgrade Asterisk regularly.
I have not the experience to

Connecting 20+ asterisk servers together
I have 20+ asterisk servers and need to network them together so a phone on
any of the servers can call a phone on any other server without any trouble.
I can think of IAX trunks between every server. So every server will have an
IAX trunk to every server and then prefix bases routing in the dialplan for
each server (I can give a number to each server and use that as a prefix for
that server).

DUNDi Users
I have three Asterisk boxes.
Each has the following in dundi.conf:

Dialling a DUNDi Route
I'm using DUNDi.
My lookup returns 'IAX2' for the tech, and 'dundi:q9sgTFkVMBFdmp0IDX1bYQ@xxx.187.142.204/3254101' for the destination.
How do I dial this?
I've tried dialling it with:
"Dial" "IAX2/dundi:q9sgTFkVMBFdmp0IDX1bYQ@xxx.187.142.204/3254101"
passed from my AGI script, but the other endpoint (xxx.187.142.204) is returning:

Nested/cascading "switch" statements: possible?
I'm lazy and decided that I didn't have the time to hack up a few
servers for testing, which I'll probably have to do if nobody answers
this mail, but it's late in this part of the world and I'm tired. :-)
I'm wondering if the use of the "switch" statement can be nested,
such that system A has a "switch" statement that points dialplan
inclusion to

is dundi worth pursuing in this situation?
At work, I have 4 branch offices at which I've deployed asterisk.
Call termination/origination at each branch office is handled either
through a frac PRI or 3rd party SIP provider. Soon, I'll be replacing
the legacy PBX at our HQ with asterisk.
Each branch office has between 3 and 20 employees, each with their own
extension and DID, and at headquarters, we have about 70 people, again

DUNDi configuration problem
Hi peeps,
I've been struggling with DUNDi for a few days now and I can't seem to
make call from Asterisk A to Asterisk B. If I do a "dundi show peers",
it finds the other peer but I can't seem to make any calls. Can
anybody help me out here.
Here's the situation:
Machine 1: Debian with Asterisk 1.4.4 --> 192.168.1.103
Machine 2: AsteriskNOW --> 192.168.1.69

switch statement in extensions.conf
On the extensions.conf explanation page is a mention of the "switch" statement
and it refers one to the "connecting two * servers" page. The only mention of
the switch statement there is brief and in the example.
However, the example seems to have some errors in it. It shows a sample of
what's in the extensions.conf file, but it clearly has sections which would be
