Hello All, I am trying to connect to a third party's SIP based Hosted Billing service that supports G729 as I have found it difficult to get hold of prepaid billing solution for Asterisk. I was able to get an IAX2 connection working fine with another provider but as I am unable to find a billing service that supports IAX/IAX2, I need to connect to a hosted billing service using SIP and

RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 20, Issue 184
Hi Joseph, With iax servers dispersed across the internet, you could still use the below setup, it would work but it's not as secure as you would want it. I would then have a context for each server and use the IP address deny and permit statements. Also, you can have 1 server with a public IP and have the other servers behind a NAT register to the public server. There are really several

Why is asterisk ignoring my context?
Hi, I've been fighting with a sip configuration for a few days, and I just realized why it wasn't working. In my sip.conf, I have the following [someprovider] Bla Bla Bla Bla And in my extensions.conf file, I have this Exten => 555-555-5555,1,Noop(test) Sure enough, when I dial 555-555-5555, it works. What DOESN'T work is if I use an extension in the sip.conf and

The folks at Sangoma- they know more about echo than most of us will ever forget- you want to speak with David M. I recently upgraded 6 Sangoma 104's to 104d's to resolves intermittent echo issues. The 104d is a magnificent marvel by folks who understand hardware. Hold the 104d beside a TE411P and you will know what I am talking about. As Doug at Sangoma says, "Sangoma's role

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #1380 - 15 msgs
You have the session target as the IP address of the router's own ethernet interface. You probably want that to be the address of the Asterisk server instead. I also highly recommend you use full duplex ethernet, as voice packets don't really like to be restransmitted when a collision happens. -d > Message: 10 > From: "Bartosz Jozwiak" <bartek@cq-link.sr> >
