ZFS RAID-Z for Two-Disk Workstation Setup?
After reading the ZFS docs it does appear that RAID-Z can be used on a two-disk system and I was wondering if the system would basically work as Intel''s Matrix RAID for two disks?

CDR shows billsec=12 for all bridged calles.
Can someone help me, im using latest CVS, asterisk and cdr_mysql, when I
make a bridge call (using .call files in outgoing/) I always get
'billsec=12' in the cdr, both mysql and Master file even if the call lasted
longer, watching the Master file while making a call I see it updated at 12
seconds even while im still 'in' the DIAL app and the call continues on just
fine.

GotoIf number exists in file. How can i do this?
Hi there.
I currently have a GotoIf statement that goes to a special
extension priority if the CID match with one of the numbers in my "list"
of CIDs. The way I've done it now is by multiple OR operators. There
must be a better way. Anyone got some suggestions?
This is basicly what I want. "If CID Exists in $File, goto
s,10". So when I want to add a new CID I

Software only Asterisk PBX (commercial)
Are there any switchvox/fonality type Asterisk based PBXs where I can
buy just the software? I don't want to buy their 'bundles' that come
with junky PC hardware. I just want their software/GUI to run on my
hardware.
Does Asterisk BE come with a GUI management console for managing
phones, queues, VM and the like?

setting caller id number and using sip type=peer for incomming calles.
Just to bug you all (feel free to rant at me),
a client wants to set his caller*ID number for outbound calls though us
to PSTN.
the client is using SIP to us, he can set the caller*ID name fine.
if he sets his caller*ID number to anything other than his account
number (8440101), the call is dropped into the default context (and then
hung up by our dial plan).
To get around this i

How to reference an R package ?
Hi
Once more I have doubts about references.
I want to give a reference of the packages I've used (gss, MASS, geoR).
For the gss package I'm using

Author = {Chong Gu},
Title = {The gss package},
Institution = {CRAN},
year = 2000,
month = {22 } # dec,

and something similar for the others, but this doesn't look

ballpark perf. numbers
Was wondering if anyone's got some ballpark performance numbers
that they can share. It would be great to see some basic numbers,
nothing formal. Even if it's just observations
from a system you manage or monitor.
I'd be most interested to see how a single server with multiple
clients performs. Throughput, reads/writes and if possible a
rough view of server memory and cpu per byte

2.4 ballpark release date?
I'm wondering whether there is a ballpark release date for Dovecot 2.4.
I know an exact release date is probably not available, but can it at
least be narrowed to a specific quarter? Is it likely in 2023?
I have seen on previous messages that an Ubuntu repository for 22.04
(jammy) will appear with the 2.4 release.
My mail server in AWS is running Ubuntu 20.04 (focal), which I have

Supermicro SAS/SATA controllers?
The standard controller that has been recommended in the past is the
AOC-SAT2-MV8 - an 8 port with a marvel chipset. There have been several
mentions of LSI based controllers on the mailing lists and I''m wondering
about them.
One obvious difference is that the Marvel contoller is PCI-X and the LSI
controllers are PCI-E.
Supermicro have several LSI controllers. AOC-USASLP-L8i with the

Is this a version that you compiled? If so I would suggest re-compiling
it with the new kernel

MLE maximum number of parameters
Hi All,
I would like to know, is there a *ballpark* figure for how many
parameters the minimisation routines can cope with?
I'm asking because I was asked if I knew.
Cheers,
Federico

SV: GotoIf number exists in file. How can i do this?
Oh. So how can I do this?
If I write something in PHP, how do I make it output to an Asterisk variabel? I need to set a variable in asterisk to TRUE or FALSE based on the result of the PHP-script.

Intel MPX support (instrumentation pass similar to gcc's Pointer Checker)
Hello,
even though the study of Intel MPX took much longer than expected, we
have finally finished it. Currently, it is published in two formats:
* as a technical report: https://arxiv.org/abs/1702.00719
* and as a webpage: https://intel-mpx.github.io/
This work contains evaluation of MPX from perspectives of performance
(Phoenix, PARSEC, and SPEC benchmark suites), security (RIPE and found

Load per server?
I'm trying to gauge the amount of overhead for idle users (NOT in the
middle of a phone call) per user, per server. These are a combination of
SIP and IAX2 clients, with "qualify=yes".
On, for example, a dual 2.4 Ghz Pentium server (with plenty of RAM), how
many hundreds, or thousands (rough ballpark) of clients can be
supported? Again, these are mostly idle, and I'm interested

Tobit analysis
Having read previous correspondance on this topic, am I right in using a
gaussian distribution for a tobit model, one article suggests a normal distribution?
Also, I want to censure at the upper bound, so, using the survival5 package I use:
survreg(Surv(y,y<c,type="right")~x) for a censored regression.
Could anybody who's had experience of this, confirm whether I'm in the
