centos 8-Streams kernel?
If you want to follow CentOS Stream development, I have two websites that
grab CentOS-supplied XML and publish blog entries of updated packages
whenever that happens:
https://centos.passthejoe.net/
https://passthejoe.tilde.institute/centos/
Both websites have the same content.
Frustration with CentOS Stream 8 development and security -- especially the
kernel -- drove me to create this site so

centos 8-Streams kernel?
Heh,
Your sentiments on the website very much mirror my own, although I?m more focused on server applications rather than on desktop (we use Macs and Ubuntu for that). When Red Hat announced Streams, I was terrified at first and my first instinct was to switch to Rocky or a similar 1:1 distro, but then thought there might be something good coming out of the whole ordeal. And indeed it did, we

Multiple graphics windows
Hi,
Is it possible to have multiple graphics windows in R? I am running a
function that plots 12 graphs and currently I'm using
par(mfrow=c(3,4),..) etc but ideally I would like to have the output in
separate graphics windows.
Thanks,
Katarina

do we know what happens with the images at major hyperscalers and when? I?m interested specifically about GCP. Who is in charge of centos-cloud project in GCP? You or Google?

TEST RELEASE: 1.2.3pre4
This will be the last test release before 1.2.3.
It consists of only a few lines difference to 1.2.3pre3, but please
test it anyway.
Changelog:

ANNOUNCE: openssh-1.2.3
The Unix/Linux port of OpenSSH 1.2.3 was released yesterday and should
be available from a mirror near you. A mirror list is available from:
http://violet.ibs.com.au/openssh/files/MIRRORS.html
This release fixes the bugs reported since 1.2.2p1 and contains many
cleanups from the OpenBSD tree.
In particular, the OpenSSL detection problems have been resolved.
The layout has changed a little bit.

profile
I am running 1.3.1 on a Windows (NT 4.0) machine. I've fit a nonlinear
model intended to predict crop yield from nutrient information, and want to
use the profile function. If I type say,
profile(simparj.fm)
I get the following error message:
"Error in prof$getProfile(): number of iterations exceeded maximum of
5.25515e-308"
I used the profiler function to profile simparj,fm step

2 D density plot interpretation and manipulating the data
Hi Abby,
Thanks for getting back to me, yes I believe I did that by doing this:
SNP$density <- get_density(SNP$mean, SNP$var)
> summary(SNP$density)
Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max.
0 383 696 738 1170 1789
where get_density() is function from here:

and keep only entries with density > 400

What ATA should I buy?
I have running * without any Digium (or any other) hardware. Now I need to connect analog FAX machine to it. I think that cheapest and easiest way is to buy ATA. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Now, which ATA should I buy? Local dealer sells those four. I can buy something else (if there is any reason for it), but I prefer something of this.
One more question, can I plug two lines in any of

2 D density plot interpretation and manipulating the data
You could assign a density value to each point.
Maybe you've done that already...?
Then trim the lowest n (number of) data points
Or trim the lowest p (proportion of) data points.
e.g.
Remove the data points with the 20 lowest density values.
Or remove the data points with the lowest 5% of density values.
I'll let you decide whether that is a good idea or a bad idea.
And if it's a

how do I remove entries in data frame from a vector
Hello,
This is probably because basename keeps the file extension, try instead
filename <- sub("(^[^\\.]*)\\..+$", "\\1", basename(celFiles))
celFiles[!filename %in% as.character(remove$V1)]
Hope this helps,
Rui Barradas

2 D density plot interpretation and manipulating the data
My understanding is that this represents bivariate normal
approximation of the data which uses the kernel density function to
test for inclusion within a level set. (please correct me)
In order to exclude the outlier to these ellipses/contours is it
advisable to do something like this:
SNP$density <- get_density(SNP$mean, SNP$var)
> summary(SNP$density)
Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd

how do I remove entries in data frame from a vector
Hello,
To remove the file extension it's much easier to use base R
filename <- tools::file_path_sans_ext(basename(celFiles))
Hope this helps,

centos 8-Streams kernel?
Hi,
Does anyone know what is happening with centos 8-Streams kernel?
It has been behind RHEL for months now, RHEL8.7 has 4.18.0-425.3.1.el8 built in December and Streams has 4.18.0-408.el8 built all the way back in end October. Is there some policy somewhere that I missed that says that 9 will be now getting the focus or whatnot?
thanks,

2 D density plot interpretation and manipulating the data
Hi Bert,
Another confrontational response from you...
You might have noticed that I use the word "outlier" carefully in this
post and only in relation to the plotted ellipses. I do not know the
underlying algorithm of geom_density_2d() and therefore I am having an
issue of how to interpret the plot. I was hoping someone here knows
that and can help me.
