Re: User Loses Ability to Make Outgoing Call s
If I understand this correctly, this is a user outside your firewall dialing
in to your office over the Internet. Always, inbound calls work, but
sometimes, outbound calls do not work. So if you have replaced the hardware
totally, and you still have the same problem, it could be a routing issue
with an upstream ISP. The way to test for this is to do a traceroute from
her LAN to your office. Then,

Some advice on routing DID's
Would like some advice on the best way to route DID's to remote
asterisk servers. Currently I have multiple DID's on my main Asterisk
server in a datacenter and have remote servers that connect via an IAX
trunk and when a call comes into my server I pass it to the iax peer.
Just wondering what the best way it is to do this without having to
have multiple line contexts for each remote

RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 19, Issue 10
Need help...I need to install a card to terminate 7 lines...I have not
order the phone lines yet...I can either do analog lines 1FBs or order a
fractional T1...any suggestions on what hardware would be easier to
install and configure...also if I went with a T1...do I need an external
CSU/DSU or anything or does it just plug into the T1 card...thanks..

How to register a SIP phone on Asterisk behind NAT
I currently do this for about 30 different cisco 79xx's connecting to
some hosted Asterisk servers.
Asterisk listens by default for any SIP connection on UDP port 5060.
And will use RTP UDP port 10000 to 20000
The phones use UDP Port 5061 for incoming connections (from Asterisks or
other SIP Devices) and use for RTP, UDP port 10000 to 20000.
Now, if you are going to have the two remote

Middle Ground between POTS and T1?
I was wondering if there was a middle ground between POTS lines and a
T1. I have a new office with a T1 line and while it's working well,
it's a lot of money and we will never use anywhere near 23 lines at one
time. Is it possible to get a few ISDN lines or something and bundle
them together?
Basically I would like to get the digital features of the T1 PRI (DID
number, etc...) but

telco access ?s -- PRI, T1, POTS?
Hi guys,
I'm new to the telco game and still pretty new to Asterisk, although
I've been using it for a couple of months now and like most of what I
see. At my office, we've got a small two extension setup w/ two Digium
cards for a single FXO line and three FXS extensions, but I'm also
working on designing a larger installation for a customer which will
involve ~16 analog

Dahdi PRI T1 Setup for TE210P
Hello,
I have been struggling with the configuration of this card on my box.
I have a T1 line and I am trying to setup asterisk with it.
I followed all the instructions and I still see a blinking red light on the
card.
I use fedora 12.
If everything is fine should I see a green line when I plug in the T1 line ?
I want to isolate the issue so I di not start asterisk. When I run asterisk
I get

TE110P - Asterisk@Home Install Problems - Televantage 3 T1
I figured it out. The old system (Televantage 3 and 4 I think) has limited specifications on the T1. After setting up the system, I was able to send and recieve calls. I still have some work to do like figuring out faxing and a floating receptionist, but this is a nice start.

Anybody Configure Shorewall w/ Sangoma WANPipe T1?
Hi,
I learned about shorewall a few days ago and am quite impressed with how
easy it was to create a powerful firewall. I set up a test system with a
cable modem and it worked flawlessly.
I''m going to be building a Router/Firewall for a new T1 that will be
using a Sangoma WANpipe card w/ integrated CSU/DSU to connect to a T1.
Has anybody done this yet, or do you know if it''s

T1 Card RED ALARM
Hello All,
I have a Digium Wildcard TE410P Quad-Span T1 Card, when I do connect T1
lines it goes in RED. When I do connect the same line on a different Server
(Same Model T1 Card) it works fine. How do I examine/diagnose my T1 Card
for any hardware failures. I heard about loopback test , how helpful it is?
Here are my configuration

AW: Should I choose DSL @ 1.5 or a full T1?
I will second that... I have been doing dedicated IP service for my customers for $130/month in Seattle + loop. (most loops are add about $200-300/month). Anything higher is really a rip-off.
John :)

T1 DSU's/Split for voice
Hello All,
I was wondering if I could do the following on asterisk...
Get a T1 between 2 locations, and split it into a data channel of like
1024, and use the rest for voice channels.
Has anyone done this and had it working well? Or would I need to get a
csu that allows a split into two interfaces?

OT: "Integrated Access T1" voice problems - is this possible?
Hello,
I am currently pricing out various T1 and PRI options for a client of
mine. We need voice and data - we want T's. Whether it be two seperate
T's, two superate fractional T's, or one combined fractional T, we need
it done.
We are getting pricing and one provider is telling us that they have
quality issues with the "Integrated Access" product. From what they

First Time T1 Questions
Hi all, i have been using asterisk for a few years but i am about to do
my first t1 setup. After terrible quality issues between two business
locations, we have decided to purchase a point to point t1 from the
local phone co. The internet is too crappy, too much lag, queing and
jitter. Most calls were dropped.
I was about to order two cisco routers with csu cards and remembered our

Hi,
I have an older phone with touch screen from Philips. It have ti connected

connected to Sipura3000, call can come
