Flash Zap Channel
After having looked around on google, voip-info, etc, I am coming here for a bit of insight from anyone who might be willing to provide some.... I am using * (it's A@H, but this should apply to any * install) to handle my home phone line. I have a TDM11B card, and my Verizon line comes in on the FXO port and my cordless phone is plugged in to the FXS port. Everything works just

R graphics device for flash apps
Byron, I just read your blog (statcomp.blogspot.com, linked from your other post) and rand across your idea of an R/Flash graphics device. I've also been giving this some thought because of this amazing interactive flash app: http://tools.google.com/gapminder and others from http://www.gapminder.org/. I would love more than anything to work on this. The only hitch is that I'm so

QuickPhones QA-342 and SIP/RTP Flash Event for Transferring
Greetings all- I've got an odd issue with a QuickPhones QA-342 WiFi SIP phone. It registers correctly, makes calls, etc with no problems. The dtmfmode is set to rfc2833. HOWEVER, I'm unable to transfer calls with it. The proper procedure should be to hit the 'Call' key which sends the flash event, we should get dial tone, dial the number to transfer to, then hit 'Call'

Configuring behaviour of flash hook
Hi all, I have some problems configuring the right behaviour of Zaptel devices in asterisk. Especially with three way call, call waiting and call transfers. Having one party on hold and the other on line I would like to have - Flash Hook + 3 to activate three way call - Flash Hook + 2 to swap between user on hold and user on line. On call waiting I would like to have: - Flash Hook + 2 to

"unclean hangups" can I turn off hook flash?
I'm having problems with unclean hangups (being read as a flash instead of a hangup?). Can I turn off hook flash recognition in asterisk, but still have the flash button on the analog phone operational? Could I use these settings in zapata.conf to fix my problem? *prewink*: Sets the pre-wink timing. *preflash*: Sets the pre-flash timing. *wink*: Sets the wink timing. *rxwink*: Sets the

Caller ID forwarding
I doubt it's possible but I'll ask just in case there's a "legal" way to do that. I have an asterisk server setup at work. When someone call from a PSTN line and enter an extension it rings for a few seconds on the SIP phones of that extension and then if there's no answer it transfer the call to the cellphone of the person having this extension using hook

3-way calling woes... Nasty static and inconsistent flash detection?
This is my setup: SPA-2000 -> Asterisk -> X101P (x4) -> PSTN 3-way calling works fine if I use flash and dial just local extensions. Or even if I use flash and dial one local extension, and one remote party over the PSTN. However, as soon as I dial from my SPA-2000 out over the PSTN, and hit flash the call hangs-up about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time it puts the call on

Flash plugin not working
Hi, I have a fresh install of CentOS 5.5, with a minimal GNOME desktop. I configured RPMForge as third party repo. I updated everything first, then installed flash-plugin. (And yes, I restarted Firefox... :oD). All I see when I try to see some things Flash on the Internet, like Youtube or the likes, I get... nothing. The space remains white. Sometimes a black square will appear, sometimes it

Flash Timings
Hi, I am trying to integrate Asterisk with a very old PABX I have here for test purposes. I have it linked with and FXO module. Now the test scenario I am building goes like this: Incoming call on Legacy PABX --> Call Transferred to Asterisk --> Announcement Played --> Call Transferred to SIP Xtn --> If call is unanswered perform a hook flash on active zap channel and return it to

Hanging up a 3-way conference when middle user hangs up
Apparently asterisk's default way to a 3-way conference lets the user in the middle hangup and the other parties stay on the conversation. This is great some times but it creates quite a bit of problems when trunks dont have disconnect supervision or when trying to do accounting and billing on the user. Here is the 'normal' situation when a user tries the setup a 3 way conference once

Transfer a call ? Am I looking for the flash command ?
Hey Guys Im trying to forward a call with asterisk to a regular phone. Something like " I get a call on my regular phone, and he's trying to reach some buddy of mine.. then I tell him "wait a sec" and push "Flash" and get a other dialtone.. then I dial that other number then hangup the phone, so the one that called will be connected to where I dialed it to"...

Flash zap trunk from Softphone or IP Handsets...
Hi Guys!! I wrote a little patch for asterisk 1.2.5 and I will maintain it for future release unless somebody explains me how we can ask people at Digium to add it to the source tree... We are planning on using Asterisk as our main PBX for the office over the next few weeks. Our current setup uses TDM400 cards to bring our 8 lines into Asterisk, our Telco provides us an option for three

Queues and Flash/SendDTMF in hybrid PBX
Hi! I am trying to setup a simple queue in Asterisk and I'm having a small problem. Our callers come in through a Bosch PBX and are immediately transferred to an Asterisk menu/IVR. If they select the option to call a SIP phone directly (eg. entering the operator's SIP extension) then the callee/operator can transfer the call to a phone within the Bosch system. What Asterisk does is

ICECast in Flash / IEWin
I'd like to resurrect this orphaned thread: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2003-December/006139.html We're using the embedded flash player for listeners of pulverradio.com and can't use 2.2 for relaying from our encoders. Apparently we can use Icecast v1.3 Although this is clearly a problem caused by ActiveX and Microsoft boneheads that is a mountain that may prove

3-way calling
I need to implement a procedure for creating a 3-way call, similar to what you get from the telephone company. You're in a call, you flash hook to get the switch's attention, you dial the 3rd party, you flash again to create the 3-way call. In the asterisk world, the flash would be replaced with the *+(some key). Is this implemented? How would I configure this? Thanks for any help,

Hook-flash timing
Hi, Is there any documentation on the fields prewink, preflash, wink, flash, rxwink, rxflash, start and debounce in zapata.conf? The "Recall" button on my phone doesn't seem to trigger a transfer via my shiny new TDM40B. However, tapping the hook does, but only if I tap it for long enough. Presumably the "Recall" button's timing is too short? Further, most users who

Transferring Using Flash
Greetings. I am attempting to configure a system based on Asterisk 1.2.3 to be used as a backup should our aging voice mail/auto attendant system fail, which seems increasingly likely given its advanced years. The first part of this task is getting the auto attendant feature to work correctly, which I would have figured to be relatively easy. I have successfully built a menu structure, but cannot

My Flash 10 attempt
Hi everybody, after hearing about the new Sound functionality in Flash 10, Arek's performance gain using the new Vector type instead of Array and not at least actually seeing the performance boost he achieved compared to my old Vorbis decoder, I found a few hours yesterday to migrate my old code. First of all: the new PCM playback API for Flash is rather restricted and only allows 44.1
