Announcement: Snom 360 with integrated XML O bjects
that is *very* cool. However, I am somewhat concerned about being forced to license the firmware (even if it is free) can you comment for the list the rationale behind forcing a license and how this might affect Snom users who, say, want to DOWN grade their firmware? ps is there a timetable for supported, formally released firmware version? -----Original Message----- From: Hirosh Dabui

Polycom Microbrowser
I have just spent the morning playing around with a Polycom IP600's microbrowser. Everything is working pretty well. In answer to the question of what type of XML it runs, it appears to be more or less XHTML-compliant. I have created a basic set of web pages allowing users to clock in and out against our MySQL timeclock system, running a PHP back-end. It's running like a champ.

[RESOLUTION] Polycom microbrowser issue Error HTTP 406 withIIS
I found this solution from the web and figured I'd share it because it affects all phones getting input from IIS. Map .gif, .jpg, .css etc (in my case I used .xhtml for the Polycom 601) in IIS under your sites: Properties -> Virtual directory tab-> Configuration -> Application configuration -> Mappings tab. Make ASP DLL [..\inetsrv\asp.dll] to handle these files. This

OT: Snom 320, displaying text on the scree n from *
try "sipsak -M -O desktop -B "foo" -s sip:<user>@<registrar> -H <ip of registrar>" the trick is to specify the "-O desktop" parameter + the "-H <ip of registrar>" parameter. Sipsak fakes the host-header of the registrar so that the Snom thinks it is coming from your Asterisk server, then lets the message through to the

Doctype -- utf-8 -- html vs xhtml

If I put in all the damn closing tags on paragraphs and hr and br and all that will the stuff pass xhml inspection, or will rails insert something I haven'' yet noticed. Fwd: [OT] Quick XHTML job
Hi, I have two ten-page websites that I need produced quickly. I can pay a reasonable rate; this isn''t an attempt to lowball--the priority is speed and quality. I have all of the Photoshop files you will need to understand the work you will be producing. More parameters: - Both websites should have identical html, but different stylesheets. (like CSS Zen Garden) - Both websites should

Nested forms, dynamic elements and valid xhtml/DOM ids
Hi, I would like to know if anyone has been able to implement correctly 2.3 nested forms and create dynamically (javascript) a bunch of nested elements with their correct DOM ids. I''ve seen Complex forms Railcasts but they use pre-2.3 nested forms. I''ve seen Alloy solution but it is not working properly to me. When creating more than two lines dynamically the id is repeated.

Rails asset tag helpers outputting invalid xhtml
I am using Rails 2.1 and HAML for some, but not all, of my templates. All of the self-closing asset tags (<link>, <img>) output by the rails asset tag helper methods are not being closed at all, thus rendering my pages as invalid XHTML. Has anyone else dealt with a similar problem? I am completely out of ideas, so if you have any suggestions, by all means, fire away. Thanks. -- Posted
