GXP-2000 Volume Issue
Is anyone else having an issue with GXP-2000s and transmit gain? All my
other phones are fine on my TDM400P with txgain set at 0, but the GXP-2000
caps at about a third of the scale in ztmonitor. I'm getting people
complaining they can't hear me on my GXP-2000s, whereas my Snom 320 and
Polycom 301 are great, and my Budgetones are overmodulating. Is there any
conceivable fix on the

Grandstream GXP-2000 Poor sound Quality
I have upgraded the GXP-2000 to the newest firmware
1.0.1.12<http://1.0.1.12>and the phone is much more usable However, I
still have two slight sound
quality issues:
1) There is static on the line at all times. It is not that noticable to me,
but when I make calls out the PSTN the person on the other end hears it. If
I use a Cisco ATA with an analog phone and call the same person again

GXP-2000 phones stop registering
I have about 30 GXP-2000 phones running 1.0.1.9 which have all been
configured using the provisioning feature so the configuration is all
identical.
The problem I am having is that they randomly seem to stop registering
with asterisk. When they stop registering they can still make calls but
oviously asterisk cannot ring the phone so all incoming calls go to
voicemail.
Has anyone else had similar

GXP-2000
I'm using a few GXP-2000 with firmware 1.0.2.13 and everything seems
to be working fine. However, there are a couple of issues I'd like to
know if are possible:
1) Even though the phone has 4 line appearances, if I am speaking on
a line, the phone can no longer receive phone calls. I can manually
select another line and make calls, but when Asterisk tries to send a
call to it, I

Grandstream 100 pricing question
Hi All,
I can get Grandstream 100 SIP phones for EUR 75. I'm not sure about the
pricing for these in Europe, so I'd like to hear from people here whether
that is a reasonable price for them?
TIA & BRgds

GXP-2000 fw 1.0.1.13 and NTP
Hi all
Slightly OT but I know a lot of GS experts hang out here - I just upgraded a
GXP-2000 to firmware 1.0.1.13 to try out the BLF functionality with Asterisk
(which so far works as expected), but as a side-effect the phone won't sync
with an NTP server - I've tried different server names (time.nist.gov and
pool.ntp.org) and IPs in the config, but it refuses to update the time on

Grandstream GXP2000 resetting all the time
All,
I have AAH 1.0 installed using Digium TDM04B and Grandstream GXP2000 phones.
All seems well other than the phones have to be reset up to 5 times per day.
It is like they lose thier ip connection or maybe thier SIP connection. Has
anyone else experienced this issue? I have the phones set for static IP
addresses and that doesnt seem to help either. Any help would be greatly

I'm trying to convert a courier-imap installation over to using
Dovecot, but I'm having some problems with Mail.app on OS X. FTR, we
use both Mail.app and Thunderbird. Note that in the Mail.app
preferences, I have a blank IMAP Path Prefix. I'm using Dovecot
1.0_rc15 on Gentoo, and Mail.app from OS X 10.4.8, Thunderbird 1.5.0.9.

GXP2000 and hint LED's
Asterisk 1.0.7
Has anyone got the hint function working, and maybe with the GXP2000.
I am testing with 2 GXP2000 phones (firmware 1.0.1.9) at the moment
trying to get the LED's to light up.
On ext 690, button 1 is setup for ext 691, I did this using both methods
691, and <sip:691@192.168.69.1>

How to xfer calls or is my setup wrong?
I am having problems transferring calls from one sip extension to
another - the extensions use various phones hardware/software.
From what I can tell I should just be able to press # and then dial an
extension to blind xfer a call right? How do I do attended xfer?
Either the phones (for this test I have tried xlite and budgetone102)
are not sending DTMF correctly or something else is amiss...

Ugh - half connected Win 7 machines to Samba 4.1.18 AD
I have been at my wits end now since Sunday trying to debug an issue
that occurred when I tried to update from sernet-samba-4.1.18 to
sernet-samba-4.2.2 on my small network. I have one administrator account
and two user accounts which I will call account1 and account2. Before I
updated I was able to login into any of 3 Windows 7 Professional boxes
and 5 linux boxes running CentOS 6.6 using

Switch from courier to dovecot
I have an courier IMAP server running. To get sib dirs working I had to
rename them all to begin with a period ".".
e.g
Maildir
Maildir/{cur,new,tmp}
Maildir/.account1/{cur,new,tmp}
Maildir/.account2/{cur,new,tmp}
Maildir/.account3/{cur,new,tmp}
etc
If I uninstall Courier and install dovecot, will these "period" dirs be
seen by default?
I am fairly new to this and

GXP-21XX
Anyone used the new Grandstream GXP-21XX series phones. We have been
testing these phones and like what we see. We are looking for a greater
cross section of testing before we roll them to production. Any feed back
would be appreciated. We are talking with Grandstream engineering and they
are looking for feed back as well.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

Agressive echo cancelation
Anyone know if it is possible to control how aggressively the
"Aggressive" mode behaves.
Meaning, is it possible to dial back the aggressive mode to have a happy
medium between
Regular and the Aggressive defaults.
I have a situation where Normal echo cancellation is not quite enough,
however when I turn on aggressive mode
We are attacking it to hard and I am unhappy with the walkie

NT Group to single unix ID
Hello Samba Gurus,
I have been searching for a week for a solution to this problem
with no resolution thus far. I have a need to map an NT Group
(a large group of NT users) to a single unix user ID. I guess
I am asking for an example of the smb.conf and users.map file.
We have hundreds of NT users in various user groups. For example.

GXP-2000 and Shared Line Appearances
I have a client with 20 GXP-2000s. Everything seems to be working
fine. However, after a couple of weeks of use, the client is having a
hard time adjusting to the new IP based phone systems and only misses
one feature from their old Lucent system.
That is, they had 8 analog lines before and all their old Lucent
phones showed a button for each line. So, it was easy for anyone to
say,
