CentOS-3.1 update2
Unless anyone shouts I intend to push all the update2/testing stuff into
updates for 3.1 later on today - say about 22:00 UTC All the security
related updates have already been released.
I am not convinced that lack of feedback means that there are no problems,
more likely it means that not many people have tested the stuff, but I
have had no serious problems and cant do any more testing.

Hi Lance,
sure i can do it. Lets start it even today!
just send me a list of the moderators needed. The forum is for the
community but obviously we MUST have moderators. The mantainers are my
suggestion.
and we must create the topics of the forum.
i will browse some forums this afternoon and then post a basic structure
of the topics.
if anyone has some ideas of topics needed just reply.

Update centos-yumconf fixes security issue
An update has been released to centos-yumconf , the yum configuration file
for centos because it was not set ot check the gpgkey on the packages ity
installed.
It was assumed that if there was a key then it would be checked, but that
is not the case, it has to be explicitly enabled per repo.

New CentOS contrib packages and 3rd party repos
A number of new packages are now in the contrib repository including
cluster manager, courier-imap, maildrop and piranha - amongst others -
thanks to bilbo for these. (we are still waiting for some of the
src.rpms)
There are also kernels for i586 in the contrib section.
contrib packages are supplied by third parties, not (necessarily) tested
by CentOS developers and not GPG signed by Centos.
