Best practices to setup XEN running on CentOS 6.4
Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on the best way to setup the guest disks on a single-server XEN system running on a Centos 6.4 fresh minimal install as the dom0. I currently have a system running a traditional VHD disk image for each guest but I'm having disk I/O difficulties and I am looking to optimize it the best way I can. The host disks are two classic 500GB SATA-III

Reading various websites, it looks like grub2 can do it, but you have to make sure that various grub modules are installed first - i.e. do something like grub-install

New Dovecot server buildout review

My thought on storage is to have a 12 drive JBOD system attached via SAS to a 3ware 9690SA raid controller. Drives would be RAID'd (10 or 5) to appear as one for message storage. Dovecot would run

Formatting a large disk
I need to install Centos on a machine with 3tb raid disk. (3 ware raid card) Could someone in the list suggest a utility for partition this disk. I would like to have the whole disk in 1 partition and format it for ext3. The default partitioning utility doesn't do this. The OS sits on another SATA disk and each time during the installation it doesn't format the full disk which is 3TB.
