Anyone using fuse and/or sshfs under Centos 4.4?
Hi A search of google failed to show any prebuilt rpms for sshfs and fuse. I do see that fuse support is in 2.6.14 kernel which isn't a whole lot of help. Before I dive headlong into this has anyone successfully built fuse/sshfs against Centos 4.4. If so would you share your experience? Thanks Daveh

In my seeking a managable way to build libtiff, on the Asterfax forum I got the following recommendation (from another fax user that made the move to libtiff 3.8.2): ================================================================ Hi Robert, I have compiled libtiff-3.8.2 from the source package for my Fedora Core 4 machine. I am not sure about CentOS, but I think you can try to do the same

/lib/tls.disabled or xen-friendly glibc?
Hi, until now I have run Xen with /lib/tls out of the way for both dom0 and domU''s, but now I''m trying to install OpenLDAP in a domU, which requires TLS as default. So now I have at least three options ahead of me: 1. mv /lib/tls.disabled back to /lib/tls and accept the performance penalty (is there any documentation on how heavy this penalty is?) 2. Compile OpenLDAP

Jigdoes of CentOS 4.4 and 5.0 i386/x86_64 CD/DVD available.
I've gone through the trouble (after some 10 rounds I finally have something I'm happy with) and generated jigdo/template files for CentOS 5.0 iso's (CD/DVD i386/x86_64) (and CentOS 4.4 while I was at it: CD/DVD/ServerCD SRPMS/i386/x86_64). (and I started on this before the thread about creating the DVD's from the CD's started ;-) ) They are available at:

Setting up Mongrel and Apache , some direction needed
I have a site that is PHP on Apache / RedHat , but will send requests to a subdomain (running Rails) for database operations. I believe the set up should be to have ROR using Mongrel, and an Apache virtual host passing requests from apache to mongrel. Does this sound correct ? I believe the Virtual Host is set up in Apache. One of my problems is I can''t find the httpd.conf file for

Change your default rpm query format on multi-lib archs (like x86_64)
All, I am now building rpms on, and using a multi-lib arch (x86_64) for the first time ... when using the standard command: rpm -qa | grep pkg_name The results might be pkg_name.i386 or pkg_name.x86_64 ... or both. But, the way it is shown by the default query format, looks the same ... like this: pkg_name pkg_name ---------------------------- example: [root at x86-64 ~]# rpm -qa | grep
