Problems with DTMF
I've got a problem with DTMF, again.
My asterisk box is connected with the outside world (PSTN) via a sip
proxy. The problem is that for some reason, I need to use rfc2833 for
signaling digits to the gateway and inband to accept digits from outside
(eg. when someone dials one of our DIDs). It's possible to do this?

wifi phones - desk
Hi,
I'm provisioning an office with limited cabling. I'm looking for a desk based wifi phone. Most of the ones I've seen are handsets. Any ideas?
Thanks, WILL

problems with international dialing
Hi,
I'm struggling to set up a plan to allow international dialing from my US
location. As I understand it, an international call can have 9 to 15 digits
including country code. The problem is that the call always goes through
after I've entered the 9th digit.
My service provider is BroadVoice, my phones are Grandstream GXP-200's.
DTMF is set on the phone to be via SIP INFO and

Secure? Samba over internet
I'd like comments (suggestions, improvements, messages that start with "you
moron you forgot that. . .") on the following horrible dirty kludge to make
a (nearly, with any luck) un-hackable set of shares available to specific
users on the internet.
On the Server, initially all packets bound for port 139 are rejected as the
default policy.
The server is connected to the internet full

Email dictionary attacks and firewall
I keep seeing 'Joe Average compromised computer on broadband' being used
to do email dictionary attacks on our systems. Seems I always have
several domains going through these. One in particular has been in the
'a-' list for weeks with about 20,000 attempts per day from various
systems. Yeah, I do have a system which blocks email from these systems
for a period of time after 3

samba user1 -> samba user2 migrating - how?
I have a situation like that:
Samba as a domain controller with roaming profiles enabled; Windows 200 SP4.
Old user Joe with a roaming profile (doesn't work anymore).
New user Bob which has to use Joe's roaming profile.
Simply adding user "bob" to the system and renaming the old profile
(home/samba/profiles/joe) to a new name (/home/samba/profiles/bob)
doesn't work.

They can call me I can call them and it works fine. However, I have setup a link to sipdiscount on my * server. If the budgetone user calls via my * box to sipdiscount all the budgetone user hears is silence and the called person hears silence as well when they

Only Accept Call After Pressing a Key '#' or '*'
I would like asterisk to dial an extension or external number but for
the call to only be connected after the called party presses a key.
Therefore been able to announce the call to the called party before
answering. I have had this working on queued calls but want to
incorporate this for standard dialled extensions.
Our use for this would to be able to divert a call to a users mobile but

Call dies when I press *
Hi all,
I've trying to fix a problem. If I'm in a call and I press the * key, the
call goes silent but doesn't hang up. I need to be able to send the * key
for various IVR's that I interact with.
Since I thought this was related to the features.conf file, you can view it
at: http://www.diehlnet.com/features.conf
Any ideas are welcome.
TIA,

Queue Announcement not until after # accept call pressed
When using the callback feature on agents I notice that when the queue calls
one of the agents and the agent picks up the call they hear nothing until
pressing the # to accept the call.
Only then does my announcement play back to the agent after which the call
is immediately connected.
Is there a way to have the announcement played to the agent before they
press # to accept. I have ackcall=yes

Catchall with UserDB?
Hi!
I've set up Postfix with virtual users. I wanted to get Dovecot and LMTP up and running with
Passwd-file UserDB, which they do, but I can't figure out how to make use of a catch-all.
Currently, mail to joe at example.com needs Joe to be in the Passwd-file. I would like
anyone at example.com to go to Joe's mailbox, or actually mail to @example.com should go to Joe. But
what do I

callers who don't press any keys
I've noticed that some callers listen to our main menu and don't press
any keys. I have it set up to restart the menu a few times and
eventually hang up. I'm wondering if these are wrong numbers (in that
case, why don't they hang up) or they really want to speak to someone
here but don't understand the menu (what's so hard about "for the

Could someone please give me some advice on how to get * to perform the

lme with nested factor and random effect
Hello all,
I'm having difficulty with setting up a mixed model using lme in the
nlme package. To summarize my study, I am testing for effects of
ornamentation on foraging behavior of wolf spiders. I tested spiders
at two different ages (penultimate vs. mature) and of two different
phenotypes (one species tested lacks ornamentation throughout life

[LLVMdev] SelectionDAGISel::CodeGenAndEmitDAG() confusion.
Hello everybody,
Following on from the excellent help I received at
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.compilers.llvm.devel/52591 - I
have a follow up question.
I've been editing the SelectionDAGiSel.cpp to try and print out the
operations in the nodes, to this end I have modified the
SelectionDAGISel::CodeGenAndEmitDAG() function as follows

Follow-me to my answering machine :-(
Hello asterisk users!
I, like many people, have a cell phone. I also have some SIP phone
devices (software and hardware). I'd like to have one number that
rings all my phones and routes the call to wherever I pick up.
However, my cell phone has its own call forwarding voicemail. I can't
just turn that off, because then direct-to-cell calls wouldn't ever get
to voicemail - that

Feedback needed! FindMe/FollowMe Feature Spec.
Hello all,
I'm going to tackle learning C this week, and start writing my first *
add-on/contribution; assuming it's actually worthy of contributing once
it's done.. I think I've chosen a hefty project for my first go round
here...
I'd like to get some feedback from everyone on a FindMe/FollowMe spec
I've put together. Before you read on, let me say, I don't want
