Losing CALLERID{dnid}
Hi,
I'm using videocalling on asterisk 1.4.10.
When I setup the videocall with exten = n,1,h324m_gw(s at video2webanswer),
I loose the variable DNID (${CALLERID(dnid)})
Before the videocall is set up, this variable is filled and after this
videocall this variable is empty.
Also all local variables are empty.
If al look at the A-number (${CALLERID(num)} this variable is not empty

Hi, i'm new to the list, this is my first post here.
I have a UMTS module that can be used like a modem and associated with a SIM
card (on a simple board) can make phone and data call towards a real phone.
Basically is a sort of rough phone that i configure and use by AT commands.
It can handle and receive incoming call to the phone number associated to
the sim very easily.

Usb surf stick for internet
Hello,
I am searching for an internet usb surf-stick (umts) that works under
CentOS. Is anyone using such a stick and if so, which chip has this
usb-stick?
Would a Huawei E160E chip work under CentOS? Or maybe under CentOS with
the 2.6.35 kernel from elrepo?
Thank you very much!

Videoconference one-to-many
Dear all, I've implemented an Asterisk 1.4 with SIP service for voip and
video. So I can establish a voip + video connection *one-to-one*
only....it works OK.
But I'd like to implement a videoconference *one-to-many* in order to
intercommunicate many clients, is it possible with Asterisk 1.4 ???
(multicast is better than brodcast in this situation of course)
Thanks a lot,
Alejandro

VideoConference program
Well, finaly I have something pretty usable working. Actually it only works
if you have installed .Net 2.0 but I'll try to fix this and add a Linux and
OS X version.
Try it and give me some feedback :P

Rasterisk freeze on 4G link
Hello,
I'm remotely managing an asterisk setup using an OpenVPN client on this
Asterisk box, connecting to an OpenVPN server of mine).
This box is mainly connected to PSTN.
It is also connected to the Internet, only for remote management.
The former ADSL link has recently been replaced by a new 4G link (UMTS).
I'm connecting to this box from a Debian Jessie/Gnome Terminal combo.

10.0.1-rc1 release has been tagged
Hi Tom,
thanks and congrats for LLVM 10.0.1-rc1 release.
[1] shows 2 assets.
10.0.0 RCs had a lot of more assets.
I am missing the llvm-project-10.0.1rc1.tar.xz tarball.
Will you provide them later or is there a new development/workflow
decision I do not know of?
BTW, the source zip and tar.gz tarballs show no sizes.
I am using Mobile LTE/UMTS to download stuff from the Internet.
For now I

Theora 1.0 final release!
The Xiph.Org Foundation announces the release of Theora 1.0.
Theora is a video codec with a small CPU footprint that offers easy
portability and requires no patent royalties. While the Theora
bitstream format was standardized in 2004 and our beta releases have
been used by millions, this 1.0 release is an important milestone
reflecting the maturity and stability of the Theora codebase.

AMR vs Speex on wireless networks.
In order to develop a Voip application, today i should make it
robust to bit-errors over wireless networks. This is an actually
lack of Speex, infact what i've understood is that if a packet
arrives corrupted, i must pass NULL to the decoder in order
to let it know.
My target is to use UDP (with checksum field disabled) and exploit
also corrupted packets giving them to the AMR codec.

Connecting two Asterisk
Hi again!
I always try to get my mobile phone work with my Asterisk.
I tried to install Asterisk on my PC (with public IP), but it has problems,
too...
I think, my UMTS-Provider doesn't want to connect to dynamic IP or my DSL-Provider
does not want it, too, since I have no problem to connect and get a very good
audio quality if I connect to other SIP-Provider or to an Asterisk (SAME

Only reaching one machine at network
Hi there,
I am using tinc since some monthes. I think the basic idea of
extending vpn to a mesh of systems via tun/tap is great. And I think
it is one of the useable developments compared to the much more
complex vpn solutions I had used in the past. Great work.
Setting up tinc I have fought with the configuration (and with the
concepts) for a while as I have found no example that covers my
