Has anyone seen this before?
I'm using samba and cups to allow NT/2k machines to print to an HP LaserJet
4000N printer. The printer works fine except for one in house program. In
this one program, all the horizontal lines that should be printed are
missing. Originally I thought this was a driver problem, but today, for no
apparent reason, it started printing the horizontal lines... but only for
the first page of each

predicting test dataset response from training dataset with randomForest
Hi
I am new to R so I apologize if this is trivial.
I am trying to predict the resistance or susceptibility of my
sequences to a certain drug with a randomForest function from a file
with amino acids on each of the positions in the protein. I ran the
following:
> library(randomForest)

memdisk issues with 3com cards
I'm using pxelinux in an interesting way, to load DOS boot disk images from a
win2k RIS (Remote installation Service) to do various functions. Soem of the
disk images are used for flashing the BIOS on pcs, but a specific few are set
aside for booting MSDOS with MS lanman so that ghost can be run to load images
to/from the lan. I've got 6 different disk images setup and the all work

PXEboot large image creation
Hi,
I am trying to create an image that is larger than 1.44MB to be used
with PXE boot (Ghost 8 requires 2 floppys). My current attempts result
in the boot hanging at :
Loading boot sector... booting...
Starting...
My config just says the following:
default memdisk
append initrd=smalldos.img
I created the image following

openoffice spellcheck
Anyone use the spell check in OO on Cent4?
When I start the spell checker, it has the dialog to change misspelled
words, I select the properly spelled words but it never changes the
words in the document. Anyone else get this or is there some config I
need to set to save changes for the spell checker?

change the height or scale of the y axis
Hallo, All,
I have a question about changing the height or scale of the y axis. When I
use following two R codes, I can get two plots. Please look at the y axes,
the number of indices (x1, x2, ?) on the y axis in the first plot is smaller
than that in the second plot, and hence the space between any two indices in
the first plot is wider than that in the second plot. As the number of
indices

basehaz() in package 'Survival' and warnings() with coxph
Hello,
I have a couple of questions with regards to fitting a coxph model to a data
set in R:
I have a very large dataset and wanted to get the baseline hazard using the
basehaz() function in the package : 'survival'.
If I use all the covariates then the output from basehaz(fit), where fit is
a model fit using coxph(), gives 507 unique values for the time and the
corresponding cumulative

basehaz() in package survival and warnings with coxph
I've never seen this, and have no idea how to reproduce it.
For resloution you are going to have to give me a working example of the
failure.
Also, per the posting guide, what is your sessionInfo()?

How to debug not working Roaming profiles on Samba 4 AD setup?
Hi, some months before, I was serving files and profiles using a Samba 3
PDC server (I will name it PDCSERV), this is some abstracts fro smb.conf:
PDCSERV:/etc/samba/smb.conf
[general]
logon path = \\%N\profile
logon drive = U:
logon home = \\%N\%U
logon script = "logon.cmd"
valid users = %S
[homes]
path =

How to debug not working Roaming profiles on Samba 4 AD setup?
Hi, thank your for your answer.
> Are the 'File servers' joined to the domain ?
Yes
> Are the smb.conf files you posted complete
No, they are abstracted ones, because they are very long
> if not, can you post the complete ones, exactly as they are on the
computers (you can sanitize them if you need to)
Yes

It's not hidden like an hidden file or system file (things you can display
tweaking some explorer options), it's not visible at all. I think there is
no way to list them, it's not hidden, it's unlisted, but you still can
access them if you know the full path.

How to debug not working Roaming profiles on Samba 4 AD setup?

if it is still an NT4-style domain.
This does not sound like a surprise to me. ;-)

with ADUC or by creating an ldif file on the DC and then use ldbmodify to
add it.
Oh, yes, you're right, I had to do the same for the logon.cmd, I already
