G.729 patent in France
Hi all,
I am building an Asterisk PBX with voicemail and music on hold functions.
An ISDN BRI line will also be available and G.729 IP-phones will be used.
Are there patents rights applicable to France?
Which licence could I use and how many ones are required (only one per phone
or also for voicemail and MOH)?

UserEvent() with multiple body lines
Hi,
I have tried to use UserEvent() command to send data to Asterisk Manager from my dialplan.
It works fine if the body only contains 1 line but I don't know how to send multiple arguments in the body.
I have tested:
UserEvent(eventname|body1|body2)
UserEvent(eventname|body1\r\nbody2)
But no one seems to work.
Is it possible to do that and what is the correct syntax?

Hold on with Asterisk Manager
Hello,
I am writing a program based on Astersik Manager which needs to put calls on hold and to redirect them to others extensions.
I haven't funded any action able to do this.
Is there a way to put calls on hold using Asterisk Manager Actions?

VoiceMail fromstring?
I'm having tons of trouble getting the fromstring to work in
voicemail.conf. I've tried both voicemail and voicemail2 but the emails
still seem to be coming from asterisk pbx. Has anyone had any luck with
this?

Here's my voicemail.conf:

Localise VM_DATE timestamp like the voicemessage envelope
Hello,
is there anyway or any plan to have the date/time stamp that's printed
in an outgoing voicemail notification email to NOT be the date/time of
the (*) machine but infact correspond to the timezone set for the
subscriber under the TZ variable?
I have the (*) machine set to UTC and when the notification email goes
out, it prints out the date/time of the machine at which the voicemail

[LLVMdev] Usage of pointers to elements of a std::vector that might be reallocated
Right, later in the same file we have:
// Reserve entries in the vector for each of the SUnits we are creating. This
// ensure that reallocation of the vector won't happen, so SUnit*'s won't get
// invalidated.
// FIXME: Multiply by 2 because we may clone nodes during scheduling.
// This is a temporary workaround.
SUnits.reserve(NumNodes * 2);
So for some reason *2 is

Voicemail notification by email is missing CallerID info
All;
I am running Asterisk 11.6-cert16 and I have voicemail setup so
voicemail messages are sent as email attachments. That works fine. However,
the body of the email contains the CallerID(name), but is missing the
CallerID(num). For example, the email body looks like this:
Just wanted to let you know you were just left a 0:21 long message
(number 13) in mailbox 101 from WIRELESS

Oh yes you're right, I missed that :) But the point still hold.

voicemail (gui vmail.cgi) patch
Hi,
How could I change the default permissions for voicemails?
When I try to install the patch mentioned at http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+gui+vmail.cgi, I get the following response:

can't start chan_capi with asterisk group
Hello,
While upgrading * from 1.0.9 to 1.2.5, I have installed chan-capi-head
and I can't start asterisk under asterisk group
"asterisk -vvvvgc -U asterisk " and "asterisk -vvvvgc -U asterisk -G
dialout" work well but "asterisk -vvvvgc -U asterisk -G asterisk" fail.
I am thinking about a group permission configuration but I have exactly

I may be missing something, but why does it not compile with -DNDEBUG?
assert() macro expands to noop when NDEBUG is set.

Dovecot crash non stop: "uid 0: exited on signal 11"
Hi all,
I have an old physical freebsd 6.2 server running Dovecot 1.0.7. I
wanted to virtualised it.
So, I did a dd from the physical server and then I restored it on then
now Virtual Machine.
I booted the server, all services are running just fine excepted Dovecot.
I tried to investigate the log as much as I can but i'm not getting any
usefull pieces of information. The only entries I

Thank you very much. For some reason "emailsubject" was not included in my example config. Well, it's working great now.
Last question, I promise :P. Is it possible to change the date format? I want it in Norwegian.

Asterisk-MySQL: Not loading voicemail config from MySQL
Folks,
I'm trying to get Asterisk to load my voicemail
configuration from MySQL. I've followed the
instructions at:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+voicemail+database
I restarted Asterisk, but no luck: the voicemail.conf
does not get updated. I started with a sample
voicemail.conf that I found on the Wiki. Or was it
from Voicepulse? I can't remember. For initial
testing, I

Problem ScheduleDAG on PowerPC, X86 works fine.
I'd think i1 would be the proper and correct choice for a carry flag for
the generic instruction. I expect that would also make UADDO/USUBO
redundant with ADDC/SUBC (which would seem a good outcome).
You'd need to make sure the right thing happened when converting from
ADDC's 1-bit carry in/out to X86ISD::AD[DC]'s EFLAGS i/o. Right now the
conversion can get away with assuming

[LLVMdev] Assertion failure in tablegen: rationale ?
While I'm at it, I noticed a behaviour which is not exactly related but
similar. To put it simply, you can 't do T.V.W, you need to do
!cast<Bla>(T.V).W
Example:
class Bla<string t>
{
string blu = t;
}
class Bli<Bla t>
{
Bla bla = t;
}
def a : Bli<Bla<"">>;
def b : Bla<!cast<Bla>(a.bla).blu>; // works
def b :
