Asterisk-addons/OS X woes
Hi,
Know there has been numerous posts on the subject of asterisk-addons
and OS X. We have other uses for MySQL on the machine so changing over
to Postgres at this point (which apparently works for CDRs) is not
really an option. Have also contemplated a cron job to simply poll the
csv cdrs and insert them into MySQL. Messy but gets over the short
term problem.

Problem with asterisk-addons/OS X
Hi,
Having all sorts of troubles getting mysql cdr support under OS X.
Mysql, DBI and DBD all installed and running ok, privileges all set
correctly (I think). Latest asterisk-addons checked out of cvs. Keep
getting error on make install (implies gcc doesn't support -shared
linking, which is wierd):
Anyone got mysql cdr support running on OS X?
Cheers

Can't delete voicemail messages
Hi list,
After recently setting up voicemail for Asterisk 1.4.14 on my Debian
etch server, I noticed that I can't delete any old voicemail messages.
The voicemail menu option "Press 7 to delete this message" is
available, but when I press 7 the response is always "message
undeleted" and the message is still there.
What could I be missing here?
Thanks,
Jaap

1.0.8 Release Candidate
Hello everyone!
It has been a while since the 1.0.7 release, and I have fixed a lot of
stuff since then. I think it's about time to make another release.
I realize that there are still some outstanding issues, but it's nearly
impossible to bring that down to zero. However, I'm open to discussion
on anything that someone may feel is a "show-stopper".

winemp3, mpg123 Patent concerns
Hi all,
I check WineHQ today and was suprised that the new dev version was released on a Wednesday, not a Friday. Then I saw "Use of external libmpg123 for mp3 decoding." [Shocked] Now MP3 playback is built in? Or does this feature only hook onto an external program? If it's built in then Wine is illegal in my country, where software patents apply. Or does software patents only

mp3 playback (mpg123)
Hi All,
First of all a quick thanks to everyone that has provided me
with hints and tips over the past few days.
I'm still experiencing problems with the playback of MP3s. The
MP3 files will playback but they suffer from "stuttering". mpg123
is installed and plays back the file without problem via the
desktop speakers. (It is definitely mpg123 installed, and not
mpg321)

Music on Hold - can it be done without mpg123?
I have been having periodic trouble with mpg123. I have tried .59r & .59s
and perhaps others a while back and still get the 'broken pipe' and zombie
mpg123s (although I think I saw something about a fix in the changelog) once
and a while. Is it currently possible to configure moh to run directly on
the wav files? Now-a-days hard drives are so big, why use compression at all

We find that mpg123 0.59r works best. mpg123 0.59s-mh4 = the devil.
What versions does everyone use without problems.
0.59r is PERFECT

Notice for Gentoo Users In Regard to mpg123
Hi there,
After scratching my head for days on why there is horrible white noise in
musiconhold, I finally found out that the latest emerge version of mpg123:
0.59s-r2 is not working well with asterisk. However, if you get the latest
source from mpg123.de mpg123-pre0.59s.tar.gz. Then it works wonderfully.
Just a heads up for the Gentoo admin
