Overhead Paging Systems...
Hey all, I know you all saw the topic and let out a groan. However, I understand how to get an overhead paging system to work with respect *, however I am now looking for a small(?) paging amp, that I could hook 3 or 4 horns to. I would like to just have the * extention be routed to a soundcard and out an output, so I would like an amp that is voice signal activated. Has anyone found anything

AstriCon Hotel Full - Here are some near-by alternates
Well, it looks like AstriCon 2006 is going to be big. We've sold out the entire Westin Park Central -- every last room. So, here are some nearby hotels to check if you're planning on coming down to Dallas for the big Asterisk-fest. Micros-Fidelio - billing in hotel
There is hotel application weary popular in Croatia - Micros-Fidelio. Now I need to connect Asterisk with this application for purpose of billing. Thing is that hotel would like to give customer one bill for every service that he used while he was in hotel. Has anybody connected Asterisk with Micros-Fidelio? As I understand this isn't some local developed application, it's something

Planning "hotel" phone system - Need input
Ok, I'm working on an implementation of Asterisk to service approximately 50 fractional (read: timeshare) residences. Basically what I'm starting with is a hotel phone system, but with additional functionality that Asterisk can provide. From the end user's perspective, I want the exact same functionality as the Telco provides (Caller ID, visual message waiting, etc) with a few

Fidelio protocol and Mitel protocol
Does anyone know anything about the Fidelio and Mitel protocol for hotel / motel? Are these industry standards or proprietary formats? Are there open standards for communication with Hotel management software's that could be used in conjunction with a custom asterisk deployment? VoIP in hotels
Our company can offer VoIP to premises and domestic users and bill the premises as a whole. We need something to enable the hotel owner to bill each guest in a hotel in real time. What solutions do exist presently? (PS: Our radius (and every telephony equipment outside the hotel) does not recognise which room in the hotel initiated the international (VoIP) call, so that's the main problem

calculating drop1 R^2s
This is probably simple, but I just can't see it... I want to calculate the R^2s for a series of linear models where each term is dropped in turn. I can get the RSS from drop1(), and the r.squared from summary() for a given model, but don't know how to use the result of drop1() to get the r.squared for each model with one term dropped. Working example: library(vcd) # for

Budget Hotel PBX
I'm considering using asterisk to replace an existing PBX in a 40 room hotel and would appreciate any comments, corrections or insight before I begin. Only 8 PSTN connections are initially required but since the guests need dial-up internet access in the rooms it has to be Frac-T1 as opposed to using FXO ports on a channel bank. IP phones are not an option strictly because of price. The

[LLVMdev] June 2007 LLVM Developer's Meeting
For those of you coming from out of the area and who may not be familiar with the bay area. TRAVEL: The closest airport is San Jose International Airport (SJC; 10 miles away). There is also San Francisco Internation Airport (SFO; 43 miles away) or Oakland (OAK; 49 miles away). IMHO, I would choose SJC, then SFO, and lastly OAK, depending upont he prices. Analog Desktop Phone
I am looking for a good analog desktop phone to use with asterisk and my sipura ATAs. I know I want Caller ID, MWI, a few programmable buttons (for asterisk features), and no external power supply (so my users can dial 911 through the SPA-3000 when the power is out). I spent some time looking at the phones at Fry's today, without finding exactly what I need. Do any of you have any

Best echo-free and trouble-free system?
We currently have a 15-phone system using Asterisk, a combination of analog phones/Grandstream HandyTone-286 and Grandstream BT101s, and 4 X100Ps connected to analog lines. The system works well except for the occasional echo problem. I have all the echo parameters configured, removed all the extra incoming analog lines except to the PBX, etc. following all the advice on the wiki and on the

T1 cable for Digium T1/E1 Cards
Is there any technical difference between a T1 cable and a cat5e patch cable as far as using them with Digium T1/E1 cards? Can PRI circuits terminating at a smart jack connect successfully to Digium cards using straight through CAT5e cables? If so, are they using all of the pins in the cable? Thanks in advance

INN removed from CentOS 6
I use inn to make internal company announcements and discussions available to remote offices. I note inn is removed form RHEL 6. What replaces inn? http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Technical_Notes/apc.html Will inn be available from elsewhere? Will I have to compile it? Should I modify my scripts to create and install html files for a web server? That would

Astricon hotel recommendations.....?
Hi all, Looks like I'm going to make the trip over to Astricon next month, but finances being what they are and since I'll be paying for my own flight from the UK, I'm trying to cut down on costs. The problem I've got is that the hotel is about 4 miles from the nearest public transportation (Brookhaven station) and the shuttle bus is only for hotel residents. Hiring a car seems

crypt question/server hotel
I want to put my server in a "server hotel". But: I don't trust my "server hotel owner". What can I do? I can crypt my partition/hdd's that contains the data. Ok. But: then my operating system will not be encrypted. Not Ok. If I crypt my operating system too, then when a reboot comes, I have to type a password to decrypt. But my server will be at a "server

Rails Conf Europe - Hotel
For all those that haven''t got round to booking a hotel for Rails Conf (which included me until 5 minutes ago), I just found this place: http://www.activereservations.com/hotel/en/hotels-in-bloomsbury/ah-116767.html - £30 per night and it''s less than a minute for the conference hall. Gotta be better than sharing a dorm with greasy backpacking students... Steve
