I currently have AMP running and everything else is working great.
Installed the spandsp patches and software... using the default AMP
extensions.conf, I start sending a fax, I hear it pick up and transfer
to voicemail after 20s.

fax - conversion problem
I am having a strange problem.
On one * box I setup the fax recive, via spandsp -app_rxfax
I have no problem here.
On a second box I did the same. The resulting PDF appear "corrupt".
If I transmit the same fax to both * box, the tiff files received are the
same.
A deeper analysis shows the only problem is the width and heigth of the
document
In the first PDF, I see

viewing fax tiffs?
Hello,
I have spandsp setup to accept incoming faxes and receiving tif files
via Email.
Using tiff2pdf, or tiff2ps -a2 or even tiffsplit, the last page of the
fax is cut off and the quality of the text looks "squished".
I "figure" it's a tiff parsing thing, as opposed to a problem with my
spandsp installation (heh).
Has anyone experienced the same thing, or can

Receiving Faxes...
Hello,
I think you should handle the fax in the h (for Hangup) extension (which is, after your fax was received), instead of using the priorities following the fax reception (as in your example). Have a look at the different examples in the wiki, like http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+fax:

T1 to cross connect remote PBX and asterisk
Looking for someone with a successful experience similar to this;
I have a need to cross connect a 3COM NBX PBX PRI interface to asterisk,
but over a long distance. We do not need any IP connectivity and the
solution requires G.711u audio so there is no benefit to using IP.
Has anyone here successfully cross connected any PBX PRI interface
expecting NI2 PRI signaling B8ZS/ESF with an

ASterisk@home + Broadvoice = Almost working installation...
Hello Guys,
I'm somewhat of a newbie and am desperately seeking for some help...
I've managed to get asterisk up and running on my server, and signed up with a
broadvoice account...
I'm having no problem dialing and communicating between extensions, but whenever
anyone tries to call my broadvoice account, they are greeted by no ring or
anything, but rather simply a direct to

Fax2Mail
Hello,
Is there or can anyone provide a comprehensive guide (designed for Linux/Asterisk novices) to installing/setting up Asterisk in order to support Fax2Mail service?
In my case, I would like Asterisk to receive fax calls to predefined numbers (ranges) and to associate each of these numbers to email addresses.
Thank you in advance.

RxFax dropping line
Hi, I am running a build of asterisk@home with asterisk 1.2beta1 and am
trying to diagnose RxFax with a Voip incoming trunk. I am running the
latest spandsp and rxfax with libtiff 3.7.
Switching on debug IU can see the call come in, but after a small time
the fax connection drops and the sending fax (paper doc ) has not moved
in the machine.
I guess it must be dropping in the negotiation

spandsp, rxfax, TDM400/zaptel, missed frames, any help?
Sorry in advance if this is a FAQ...
I've got a working Asterisk setup based on A@H 2.2. I have a TDM400
card with 2 FXS and 2 FXO ports; PSTN connections come in via the TDM
card.
I haven't been able to get inbound fax with spandsp and rxfax to work.
Occasionally an all-text fax will come in, though it's usually badly
corrupted, but in most cases, it would appear that the call is

spandsp + HFC poor fax quality?
I've been trying to set up incoming faxes using spandsp with a HFC card.
Unfortunately, incoming faxes are of very poor quality, the pages are
not transferred wholly (sometimes only a bit of a page is transferred etc.).
From what I've read, I may have troubles with correct "timing" (and
need to set up ztdummy etc.).
On the other hand, it is impossible to set ztdummy if one

Hi. I'm using llvm DataFlowSanitizer. I add such code in library libtiff.
dfsan_label lt_label = dfsan_create_label("buf_offset", 0);
dfsan_set_label(lt_label, (unsigned char *)buf, size);
But when i compile libtiff with "-fsanitize=dataflow" option, then there is an error as follows:

removing a specific number of digist from a character string
Hello,
I would like to remove the last 8 digists of character strings in a
vector. Below I added a couple of elements from that vector.
I have a problem defining a pattern to replace the digits using for
example "sub". Removing the ".tif" part works fine using
sub('.tif',"",x), but how do I get rid of the four preceding digits?
Thanks for your help,
Kim
