Help! - Double NAT issue
Hi folks. Please don't flame me but I've been googling around for days, read a tremendous amount, tried everything, and still no go. This is most definitely a typical newbie question. - I sure hope there's somebody(s) out there who'll humble themselves to help me out. I've set up an 'out of the box' basic Asterisk server running on Slackware Linux. - It basically

Sipura 2000 behind NAT issue, Vonage is working
Hi, I'm trying to configure Sipura 2000 (behind NAT) which connects to Asterisk (public IP, no NAT) and having interesting results. When Sipura is behind Linux/NAT firewall it works great and no special NAT settings on Sipura are necessary. The issue I'm having is when Sipura is behind Linksys broadband NAT router. Sipura gets registered with Asterisk just fine, but I can't hear

SIP -> NAT -> *
Hi, I have an Asterisk Server with a Public IP (No NAT) and I'm trying to register an adapter SIPURA 2000 behind a NAT Linksys Router WRT54G, but It has been impossible. The configuration on both ports is the same.

Should a Linksys Sipura 2102 be configured with nat=yes even if it is on the local network?
Should a Linksys Sipura 2102 be configured with nat=yes even if it is on the local network? I have been having some troubles with a Linksys Sipura 2100 series, which suffers from NO AUDIO after a few calls.. Because it is on the same subnet as Asterisk it is configured with nat=no. When you think of it because the Sipura 2100 is a broadband router, the voice part may be considered as being behind

asterisk as sip client behind nat
Hi, I am pretty new to all of this but was able to set up an asterisk server and have been able to succesfully connect to asterisk with x-lite as sip client. I have also connected asterisk to FWD (using iax2) and to voipjet (also using iax2). Now I am trying to connect asterisk to Stanaphone. It has to register as a SIP client but I am not being succesful at all. My asterisk server sits behind a

Multiple SIP phones behind a Linksys firewall
And the firewall is in between the phones and both servers or are you registering the phones on a local server and trunking to the other server through the firewall? In terms of nat and Cisco 7960s I've never had a issue registering two of them behind nat to a server on the other side, however, if you called one phone from the other, you'd end up with one way audio. -----Original

Testers needed for VoIP router solution
Hi all, We have put together a firmware for a range of inexpensive routers. It has been configured to provide optimum VoIP performance. We have internally tested it for number of months and it looks very good. You should be able to run it easily with 20+ phones on local network ( we still did not hit the upper limit ) assuming that you have bandwidth. Your VoIP will get prioritized over other

Asterisk, PAP2T and 2Wire DSL router
Here is Mexico the phone company uses a DSL router from 2Wire which in my opinion is quite bad. I am having problems getting PAP2T adapters connected to Asterisk using these routers. They connect fine but after about 5 minutes I get a message on the Asterisk console that the ATA is unreachable. So far the only way I have found for the ATA to stay connected more than five minutes is to put it in

Asterisk behind OpenSER - Getting SIP reinvites to work with an ITSP
I'm using Asterisk (1.2.14, RedHat 9) but I've been having trouble with SIP re-invites. I have a DiD from an ITSP and when someone calls in, Asterisk plays a menu recording and transfers the call to the external line the caller selects. Since both sides of the call are external, I want to use re-invite to avoid the rtp packets from going through my server after the call is bridged. I

Cisco 7960 nat problems.
I have a asterisk server running on site listening on a public ip. Tonight I attempted to connect a Cisco 7960 phone from my home location via sip but failed. My home network is simple, Cox cable connection hooked to a linksys wrt router. The firewall on the linksys router is disabled and I even setup dmz to the phones ip as a last resort. I removed the linksys router and plugged the phone

Polycom behind NAT won't register to * server behind ALG
I?ve been tearing my hair out trying to get a Polycom phone (behind a NAT) to register to an * box behind a Cisco SIP ALG. With known good credentials configured on the phone and in *, I get 403 Bad Auth when trying to register. If I put the phone onto the same LAN as * it works fine without changing any authentication parameters whatsoever. If I make the secret blank (null) on the phone and *,

Serious NAT problems: can't call between lines on sipura
I have a problem that is almost certainly nat-related, but I can't figure out what's happening. Since moving the Sipura behind a NAT server (Linksys), I am no longer able to call between the two lines on the same Sipura. When I dial one extension from the other, it rings, but immediately after I pick up the ringing phone, the call is uncerimoniously dumped. I can tell the call

Asterisk behind LinkSys NAT Routing
Problem I have is this. outside firewall (extension 2003) can call me inside firewall (extension 2000) and all is fine. If I call from inside firewall (extension 2000) to outside firewall (extension 2003) I hear no ringing and person at other end can pick up and I hear for maybe a half second then I go to voicemail. If I add another extension on the outside then communication between outside

2 firewalls, different INVITES
I have a SIP trunk to Broadvoice. My Asterisk box (1.4.13) is on public addresses behind a firewall. Originally it was behind a Linksys WRT54G running sveasoft. Sveasoft really can't NOT do NAT even when you turn it off. My Asterisk box is defined as the DMZ box to Sveasoft and it seemed like it was leaving all packets alone. Now I switch to a Centos-based firewall configured with
