Also, I'm not sure how your sip.conf is set up for asterisk, but if
you've set it up like:
[203]
type=friend
username=blah
secret=blah
etc...
Your Polycom config file will generally look like this.

direct write patch
I have attached a patch that supports a new "--direct-write" option.
The result of using this option is to write directly to the destination
files, instead of a temporary file first.
The reason this patch is needed is for rsyncing to a device where the
device is full or nearly full.
Say that I am writing to a device that has 1 Meg free, and a 2 meg file
on that device is out of date.

Dummies multiplied with other variable
Hi,
I would like to estimate something like y = a + b*d2*y + c*d3*y where
the dummies are created from some vector d with three (actually many
more) levels using factor(). But either there is included the variable
y or d1*y. How could I get rid of these?
Example:
x = c(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
y = c(3,6,2,8,7,6,2,4)
d = c(1,1,1,2,3,2,3,3)
fd = factor(d)
lm(x ~ fd*y)
gives:
Coefficients:

Partial files left on SIGINT
Hi,
As the man page says, the --partial flag is to "keep partially
transferred files". I'm assuming if I don't have partial flag any
partially transferred files should be deleted. However this is not what
I'm seeing.
Example:
(Using a big file so that rsync times a while to run. This gives me time
to hit CTRL-C for the SIGINT).

Bitrot strange behavior
Hi Sweta,
Thanks, this drive me some more questions:
1. What is the reason of delaying signature creation ?
2. As a same file (replicated or dispersed) having different signature thought bricks is by definition an error, it would be good to triggered it during a scrub, or with a different tool. Is something like this planned ?
Cheers

FADV_DONTNEED support
While going through an old todo list I found that these patches had fallen by
the way-side. About a year ago I initiated a discussion[1] with the Linux
kernel folks regarding the lack of any useable fadvise support on the kernel
side. As a result, I was observing extremely poor performance on my server
after backup as executable pages were being swapped out in favor of data
waiting to be flushed

LIB usage
Hello,
I'm trying to use the speexlib but I just can't do it. I've made just like the
example (on the site) says. Some times I get SIGFAULT. Also, I'm reading the
input_frames from /dev/dsp (directly). What is missing here?
speex_bits_init(&bits);
enc_state = speex_encoder_init(&speex_nb_mode);
speex_encoder_ctl(enc_state, SPEEX_GET_FRAME_SIZE, &frame_size);

[RFC] big fat transaction ioctl
Hi all,
This is an alternative approach to atomic user transactions for btrfs.
The old start/end ioctls suffer from some basic limitations, namely
- We can''t properly reserve space ahead of time to avoid ENOSPC part
way through the transaction, and
- The process may die (seg fault, SIGKILL) part way through the
transaction. Currently when that happens the partial transaction will

rsync 1tb+ each day
I am rsyncing 1tb of data each day. I am finding in my testing that
actually removing the target files each day then rsyncing is faster than
doing a compare of the source->target files then rsyncing over the delta
blocks. This is because we have a fast link between the two boxes, and
that are disk is fairly slow. I am finding that the creation of the temp
file (the 'dot file') is

metadata in dryrun mode
As I reported a while back rsync doesn't handle metadata (permissions and
ownership) in dryrun mode.
I offered to make a patch and that offer still stands. I didn't have the
time for it until now and want to pick it up again. I had some ugly hack
back then but I want to redo it in a clean way.
I would like some input on my thoughts.
IMHO, it would be ideally if the check for dry_run

PATCH 0/10: Merge PV framebuffer & console into QEMU
The following series of 10 patches is a merge of the xenfb and xenconsoled
functionality into the qemu-dm code. The general approach taken is to have
qemu-dm provide two machine types - one for xen paravirt, the other for
fullyvirt. For compatability the later is the default. The goals overall
are to kill LibVNCServer, remove alot of code duplication and/or parallel
impls of the same concepts, and

PATCH: --write-devices to allow synchronising to a block device
Hi List,
I had a need recently to efficiently synchronise between some large LUNs
(boot drive disks) at two different datacentres. Solutions like drbd and
$proprietary_array_vendors_software were overkill - we only needed
(wanted!) to periodically synchronise these LUNs whenever major changes
were generated on the source. On the other hand however, re-sending the
entire disk contents each time

[PATCH] Inplace option for rsync
Hi,
I have written a 'smallish' patch to implement the --inplace option
as discussed on this mailing list at various points in the past. It
makes a small modification to the sender algorithm so that it won't ask
the receiver to relocate blocks from earlier in the file when running
with the --inplace option.
I would appreciate any testing and feedback people can provide! I

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix regression in orphan cleanup
Currently orphan cleanup only ever gets triggered if we cross subvolumes during
a lookup, which means that if we just mount a plain jane fs that has orphans in
it, they will never get cleaned up. This results in panic''s like these
http://www.kerneloops.org/oops.php?number=1109085
where adding an orphan entry results in -EEXIST being returned and we panic. In
order to fix this, we
