fedora core 3 kernel source - couldsomeonethrowthe dog a bone!
The issue I have had with all other FC3 kernels apart from the 2.6.9 one was that the zaptel build would throw lots of warnings up. This would have the knock on of hanging the system, spinlock I think the problem was, on a modprobe -r. fedora core 3 kernel source - could someone throwthe dog a bone!
I found that only the kernel is installed. I'd avoid 2.6.12 for now as I had problem with the zaptel driver and stay with 2.6.9. fedora core 3 kernel source - could someone throw the dog a bone!
Ok, don't flame me, I know this is a question with an obvious answer to some, but I am not one of them. Installed FC3, but this time I decide to update since my ISOs are a bit old, so typical yum update Downloaded the FC3 SRPM for my kernel 2.6.12... Installed the SRPM package Ran rpmbuild -bp -target=i686 kernel-2.6.spec Tried to build zaptel - error; You do not

rsync ported to BeOS-bone
Hello, here is a preliminary patch allowing rsync 2.5.6 to compile in BeOS (using the new BONE networking stack). Some explanations: - BeOS doesn't have chroot(), - the BONE networking stack export legacy network function for old apps in libnet.so (linked to by default), so it's necessary to force linking to the new libraries for things to work. I've yet to get inet_ntop() to be

Another Bone Head question
Whilst configuring another shorewall firewall router for another site, I must have made some totally newbie error.... While directly on the cable modem, it works great. But when placed on the LAN side of my existing Shorewall box, the NEW shorwall box could not ping, or look up dns or anything else. If I shutdown shorewall (clear) in the NEW box then it could surf the net and ping etc. When

Samba crashes on password change from Windows 2000 clients
Hi, i'm not subscribed to the list so could you please Cc back to me :) Just discovered this problem today when my brother tried to change his password. Windows sat there and eventually said that my domain couldn't be found or something, this seemed very odd so I had a look in the logs and got this show up... loop on list levels and names
Hi everybody! To use some functions, I have to transform my dataset into a list, where each element contains one group, and I have to prepare a list for each variable I have (altogether I have 15 variables, and many entries per factor level) Here is some part of my dataset: SPECSHOR BONE Asfc Smc epLsar cotau tx 454.390369 29.261638 0.001136 cotau tx 117.445711

when does 'dog' not equal 'dog'?
This is more a Ruby than a Rails question -- feel free to redirect me as appropriate -- but either this is a Ruby 1.9 bug or I have some serious misunderstanding. Essentially, I''ve caught the <=> operator returning nil -- not -1, 0, or 1, but nil. Schematically: class A attr_accessor :slot fun matches?(s) p "s <=> @slot = #{s <=> @slot}" return

Merging Ogg streams whilst updating the Skeleton?
It's well possible there are bugs. I don't know when the code was last updated. Also, I am not sure if there are command-line parameters to set the role - I would think there are. I don't actually have these tools in use right now, sorry. I hope somebody else can help. Silvia. On Sun, Aug 24, 2014 at 5:21 PM, Nick Burch <ogg at gagravarr.org> wrote: > On Sat, 23 Aug 2014,

Moaning dog...
Here's one for you phone people.... An elderly lady phoned her telephone company to report that her telephone failed to ring when her friends called - and that on the few occasions when it did ring, her pet dog always moaned right before the phone rang. The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this psychic dog or senile elderly lady. He climbed a nearby telephone pole,

Hi everybody! I'm working on R today so I have a lot of questions (you may have noticed that it's the 3rd email today). I'm new on R, so please excuse the "spam"! I have a dataset "ssfa" with many rows and the column names are: > names(ssfa) [1] "SPECSHOR" "BONE" "TO_POS" "MEASUREM" "FACETTE"

Yellow dog linux install?
Hello folks I am attempting to install R on a series of Apple G5 machines which are running Yellow Dog Linux 6.0. Has anyone had success with this, and is there something I should be doing which I am not? Calculating Cumulative Incidence Function
Hello, I have a problem regarding calculation of Cumulative Incidence Function. The event of interest is failure of bone-marrow transplantation, which may occur due to relapse or death in remission. The data set that I have consists of- lifetime variable, two indicator variables-one for relapse and one for death in remission, and the other variables are donor type (having 3 categories), disease

guest runs into watch dog reset
I'm spinning up a guest, using virt-install. i'm passing the guest a single vcpu and many network interfaces. On the guest side all the interfaces are initially in the down state. I've notice then when I manually bring a specific one of these interfaces up (eg the 64th interface), the guest system hangs. Doing an "strace ifconfig etX up", it looks like the system hangs

hi,? I'm working on a research project where we're looking at the changing resonances in femur bones during hip replacement operations. basically, I've got a spreadsheet with one column listing frequencies in 5Hz bands and 3 columns showing the amplitude of that frequency when the bone is loose, medium to tight (referring to the tension of the reamer/chisel creating a cavity for the

create an R object in a loop
Hi everybody, To run some statistical tests from the package WRS (from Rand R Wilcox), I need to store my data in a list, which fac2list() from this package does very well. But I would like to do it in a loop for each numerical variable. It would be easier! For now, I have the loop with the extraction and storage into a list. The code is below. ----- # Defines variables file <- ssfamed

nonlinear regression-getting the explained variation
Hi, I'm trying to teach myself R, and by the way, re-learning statistics using Crawley's "Statistics: an introduction using R". I've reached the regression chapter, and when it deals with non-linear regresion using the nls library I face the following problem: I follow the steps--- >deer<-read.table("c:\\temp\\jaws.txt",header=T) ---data available at
