Problems with MFCR2 and Meridian
Hi List,
I'm trying to connect Asterisk with a Nortel Meridian using an E1 with
MRFR2 signaling.
I've connected both cards, and compiled all the required software...
The problem is every call (outgoing or incoming) got dropped,
complaining about some "T1 timed out"
Only for testing purposes I'm using an application called testcall
included on the lib-unicall package, and

nortel meridian question
Hi all,
I have asterisk 1.4.26 (and I tried 1.4.29) connected PRI all 23 lines
and for the
most part everything works. Dialing out on 23 lines to phones works fine.
I have to use the Local channel to call the intercom system (from call
files).
If I only call 1 intercom system at a time so it uses DAHDI/1 everything
seems to
work as I can call all 8 intercom systems and play a message.

Asterisk + Unicall + Telmex E1 MFC/R2 Argentina + Meridian
Hi everyone!
I'm having some issue trying to place calls with asterisk connected to
an E1 R2 from Telmex Argentina. The other E1 port is connected to a
Meridian which also uses R2 protocol. Calls sometimes fail with
different error messages such as: Unicall protocol error 32773, 32772,
32769. Some other calls fail saying:
Far end disconnected(cause=Destination out

Meridian 808 Function
Hi,
Some time ago, there was a discussion about the inability of nortel meridian pbx to dial
analog tones thru an meridian ATA, and the work arround was to enable 808 function that
makes the dtmf tones long for the current call.
The nortel meridian is connected via a nortel ATA to a TDM400 to a FXO port.
Anyone can say me who to actually use that function (you dial something or is pbx

Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 32, Issue 67
Hi,
What version of asterisk and zaptel are you using? I've used digium
TE110P card with mfcr2. I had same "T1 timed out" problem too. I've
asked from support and got answer to install latest zaptel. I've
installed zaptel 1.2.13 and it solved. In short try latest asterisk
v1.2.x packages with unicall.

QSIG against a Nortel/Meridian PBX
[Reposting, as was bounced for non-member, sorry if this is a dupe]
Arrangement:
{ PSTN }--E1--[PBX]--E1--[*]--LAN--[SIP phones]

Normal calls between PBX system phones and SIP phones work, in both
directions. The call logs look like (ignore the no answer, it did ring):

Nortel digital FXO channel bank? Exists?
We have a client with a Nortel PBX with digital phone sets. Due to T1
problems (old firmware), we are interested in trying a FXO channel bank.
Is there a channel bank (or equivalent) which emulates Meridian digital
phone sets? In order words, an FXO channel bank that's Meridian digital?
Thanks

Cisco 7960, Nortel MICS, Digital sets, ...
I have a couple of questions I'm hoping folks can help me out with.
When I search the mailing list, I see folks doing what I'm interested in
so here's hoping !
- How are people making out with interfacing to the 7960? I'm
considering buying a number of these as they look quite feature rich.
But, are they easy to interface to?
- Will I be able to interface with softkeys on

Meridian Option 11c Asterisk Expert Needed
I've tried to do it myself, but my head is now bleeding from hitting it on
the wall so much.
We need someone who knows asterisk and Meridian PRI cards to help! If
required, we will pay for a day's consultancy in order to get this thing
working.
Or, do I need to scrap my plans to keep the meridian system (60 phones ...)

Nortel i2004 IP Phones
Hello,
is it possible to connect a Nortel i2004, (i2002) IP Phone to an *
PBX?
I have seen on the net that there should be an SIP firmware aviable for
the phone, anyone an idea where to get it? Because orginally they use a
own protocol
to connect to an Meridian, BCM or CSE1K.
Another idea is to write a module for * that can handle this protocol.
