AstWinPeers - combination of IAX/SIP/Peers/Graph
Hi,
As you may have noticed, I've been playing around with a couple of ways
of displaying peer statistics in Windows.
There were previously 4 programs to do that.
I have now combined them into 1 uberprogram (392Kb uncompressed).
You can download the beta from:
http://www.sineapps.com/down/AstWinPeers.zip
or you can view a screenshot at:

On Hold music
This may sound kind of crazy and I maybe missing something. But are you
placing the call on hold so you can hear the hold music. This may not
be the case but you may have to place the call on hold to here the
music.
Also you mentioned sound, you do not need a sound card in the asterisk
box to use this hold music feature.
Hope this helps.

IAXPeerGraph - a beta of another windows monitor app
We've just completed another Windows monitor app. This one has a
scrolling taskman-like interface.
Once again the zip file just contains the .exe file and the INSTALL.txt
file.
Oh, and by the way, the blue light that flashes next to the green
connect light (it is black in the picture) toggles between blue and
black whenever it receives a response from the simple manager proxy with

I've put up an RSS feed on my site so that you can browse the

The URL is:

Firefly prescence + Asterisk
Does anyone know if there's a way to get the FireFly presence stuff to
work with Asterisk?
Details:
1. I would like to be able to see other people's status in my firefly
client. This one I think may be able to be done without asterisk. I.E.
maybe the clients need to be registered against the firefly network and
just not send calls through?
2. I would like (if possible) to use the

HOW TO make xten eyebeam incoming video start before you send yours
Sorry, I don't remember who was asking about this, but it seems that if
you record a video message that contains the send video start, it will
actually fire up the remote receive window.
I.E. Previously I was using the recording section of voicemail to create
my video IVR's. This meant that when I arrived at the section to record
the message, I had already clicked send video in Xten.

Music on Hold from Soundcard
Hey all,
I've been trying to get MoH to work from the line-in on my soundcard, but as
of yet have had no success. I found this script that should allow for it to
happen:
http://www.sineapps.com/news.php?rssid=722
The script, when run as the asterisk user, works properly and streams sound
to stdin. But when Asterisk starts MoH it stops it immediately afterwards
with no explanation. Has anyone

Ztdummy or Zaptel card on production server
Hi there
I am currently using Asterisk with Meetme on a 2.4 linux kernel. I am using
Ztdummy with usb-uhci driver for timing. It seems to work ok, although I
haven't tried it with more than 5 users. However, I am now looking to move
into a production environment and some people have said that it is better to
have a Zaptel card. I would be installing Asterisk on a 2.6 linux kernel for

Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 2, Issue 163
Hi Matt,
I have verified with ztmonitor the audio level and it was too low, then
with this the fax machine report "Not Response". I modified the audio level
in zapata.conf and after that the fax machine report "Commnunication Error".
Do you an idea what could be ?
Thanks,
Angel.

30 Great free Asterisk applications
Hi, I was looking round on the Internet and saw there was no definitive
list of free applications available for use with Asterisk, so I thought
I'd compile a list for you all. If there's anything that you know of
that is actively maintained but not in the list below, let me know (bear
in mind I'm not including distros or Asterisk packagings in this list).
Hopefully there are a few
