Firewall will definately increase jitters inyourvoice conversation
Wiley is definitely right. It would be dangerous not to have a firewall for security reasons. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Wiley Siler Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2005 2:27 PM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Firewall will definately

Firewall will definately increase jitters in your voice conversation
Hi, If you will put firewall, then i think you will get high latency and consequently you will hear voice jitter in your conversation. so avoid putting firewall. Is it mandatory to give power supply to TDM400Pcard
Is it not for a card with 4 FXO? I spent several hours the other day trying to figure out what I had done wrong and I ahd forgotten to connect the power cable. I setup several of these before and couldn't figure out why this one didn't work. It appears that's all it waqs. Without the power connecter the card will probe, and even appear to be working but when the lines ring (coming

Outbound answer on TDM400P
How come an outgoing call using my TDM400P immediately say the call is answered? I'd like to be able to detect when the call is actually picked up, is this possible? If this is normal with analog cards, does the same thing happen with T1 cards? -L ____________________________________________________ Yahoo! Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. Is it mandatory to give power supply toTDM400Pcard
That was my thought too. Even if it *does* work without it, there may be a reason internally you can't see why it is required. (Ex. Putting extra stress on a component causing it to fail in 6 months) -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Tom Rymes Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2005 3:49 PM To:

Is it mandatory to give power supplytoTDM400Pcard
No I got confused....yes they are FXO modules with POTS lines coming from bell attached. The only thing I can think of is that since the card supports 3.3v or 5v PCI slots that maybe on a 3.3v slot it requires the other connection all the time because it really does need the 5v and is just not picky about where it comes from. -Jonathan -----Original Message----- From:

Ring Voltage Supplied by Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F & AUTO FXS/DPO
Hi; I'm trying to connect a TDM400P with an FXS module to a Valcom V-9940 Paging adaptor. This port on the TDM400P was connected to a 2500 Set and was working I just re-connected it to the Valcom (which is known to work on a Telco POTS line) and its not picking up. The Valcom docs say it need a minimum of 75 Volts at 20-30 Hz to recognize a call... So the question is what ring voltage

I can't make it to the current schedule for alternate Tuesday 1400 UTC meetings. I was hoping we could reschedule it to 1500 UTC on the same Tuesdays instead, or any other slot which could work for all. TDM400P (TDM22P) and aux power.
I need to ask, to refresh, is the aux power connector on the TDM400P card *only* to power the ringer on any analog phones/devices on the system? Can I still use this board, to "terminate" POTS lines and use all SIP Phones? Due to circumstances, I end up with a 1u server that has no aux power connectors available. I "have to" use this server, so am considering abandoning

[CentOS-devel] docker and docker-latest packages on CentOS Virt SIG
Moving this discussion to centos-virt@ as it's upto the SIG to decide on how this moves ahead. I'm hoping to have 2 new koji tag sets: virt7-docker-fedora-* (will have fedora rpms rebuilt) virt7-docker-el-* (will have rhel candidate builds before they are released or land in centos extras) The -el-* repos will help to have Virt SIG as sort of an upstream and early QA for both RHEL and
