Voice mail & Uniden UIP-200 phones
I had a working system using * 1.0 and then 1.2 and now Asterisk 1.4.13
with addons 1.4.4, zaptel 1.4.6, libpri 1.4.2. I have a mix of
Grandstream (GXP2000), Uniden uip-200, Linksys Wireless G, and analog
phones via Adtran chan bank. When I went to * 1.4.13, the Uniden phones
stopped being able to login to voicemail. All phones are on same lan
with Asterisk.
I get 'Login incorrect'

Uniden UIP-200 Multiple line appearances
Hi -
I'm wondering if any has experience with the Uniden UIP-200 phones.
The product info says that the 8 led buttons at the top are all
programmable. Can they be programmed as separate line appearances (ala
Snom 200, Cisco 7960, Zultys Zip4x4, etc)? In other words - is the
phone capable of multiple SIP registrations?
Also, the post about these phones at voip-info.org mentions some

uniden uip 200 phones lockup but rare - anyo ne seen this
I have several too and I also see this problem on occasion. Like you say,
it is fairly rare and I can't pinpoint a cause or tell if it is a symptom of
something else.
I think I wrote to tech support about it but never heard anything. I'm
wondering how long they will continue to support the phone.

Uniden UIP 200
I just purchased 30 of these after testing one for a few months and would like
to quickly purchase another 40.
We really like these phones: good sound quality, good echo control (no echo in
speaker phone), power over ethernet support, 10/100 switch, 8 programmable keys.
Unfortunately we missed on big problem with Call waiting in our testing. When
using asterisk 0.9.1 or rc2 the phone will reboot

Uniden UIP1868 - any sightings or users?
I've been looking out for the Uniden UIP1868 for a while now, but I
haven't seen it anwhere that I'm used to buying things from. According
to froogle, a couple of places (that I've never heard of) have a small
number in stock (small = 10 in this case). I'm doubly suspicious
because even uniden's own online store doesn't have them available yet,

Uniden UIP 200 and Asterisk.
Hi, I'm new to asterisk, and have a uniden UIP 200 that I got off of ebay.
I'm having trouble getting the phone to register with asterisk. I've tried
a few different settings. I'd be extremely grateful if someone with a
similar setting could give me the sip.conf block for the UIP and the
settings you're using in uniden.txt.
Here's what I have currently:

uniden voip gear
Anyone used any of the Uniden VoIP gear, any comments one how easy it was to
integrate with asterisk? Also quality of the gear in general?
This unit _looks_ pretty nice on paper

UIP 200
I have a UIP200 on the way for eval. Does anyone have tips or tricks
to get it working right away with * ? I hate having to go through the
pain someone else braver than I went through already. :)

UIP-200, registers, 4 seconds pass, then #1 disconnected
No kidding, every time.
I know I have the config via tftp working. Funny
story - I was getting nowhere with it and then decided
to tcpdump on the tftpd box, and wow! The UIP-200
tftp client was looking for the uniden<mac>.txt in
lower-case! Hah!
That was easy to fix. Now the config is transferred
to the UIP-200 at startup. It registers to the *
server. The phone displays time and

Wall-mounting UIP 200 and SoundPoint IP600 keeps coming off hook
I am looking for a large number (probably about 100 or so) low-cost
phones that I can hang on the wall. I need the phones to use PoE. Do
the Uniden phones support wall-mounting? These phones are not going to
be high-usage; they simply need to be there in case of an emergency.
Another question, along the same kind of lines, has anyone figured out
how to keep the SoundPoint IP 600 receiver

Uniden UIP200 firmware v4.63
I just spent the last hour or so trying to get this firmware to work across
a NAT with no success. I have a GS BT101 working through the same NAT, so I
don't think it's the NAT itself.
I have a STUN setup in * and pointed the UIP200 to it and I tryed several
combinations of nat= in the sip.conf and in the config files for this phone.
No luck(yes, I did a reload now with each change in

Wall-mounting UIP 200 and SoundPoint IP600 keepscoming off hook
The piece of plastic is built in to the IP600. Use a screwdriver or something
similar and push the little piece of plastic out from the top inside the
cradle. It will pop out, and you can turn it over and reinsert it upside down
to hold the receiver in place.

Uniden, Polycom or SwissVoice???
I need to purchase approx. 10 phones for a small office implementation.
Nothing fancy is required besides a full-duplex speakphone, in the
sub-$200 range. I am currently looking at the Polycom Soundpoint 500,
Uniden UIP-200 and SwissVoice IP-10. I have searched around and found
various posts regarding each phone's ability to work with asterisk (SIP,
I probably should have mentioned), but

SPA-941 (and others ) Transmit Sound Quality
Hello,
This is not exactly an Asterisk question, but I was encouraged to seek
advice here anyway. The kindness of the * open source community is
legendary :)
I am getting going with an Asterisk 1.2 box, and I'm having trouble
getting good quality transmit sound using handsets with VoIP phones. I'm
primarily trying to focus on SPA-941, but also experimenting with Aastra

HardPhone Dilemma
I have a dilemma. I am trying to setup an asterisk setup for about 10

hardphones to use for our systems. Here are the requirments I am looking
for:

We would like to have the cordless and corded option if possible (at least
for 3 of the 10 people). So here are the

Setting Codecs on the Fly
Does anyone know if it's possible to set the codecs for a number via an Asterisk command?
Ie, yes you can set the codecs in sip.conf for a user, but I'd like to have a command that can set the same thing so that it can be done without having to change sip.conf.
Essentially I want the user to be able to prefix a code to their dialled number to set their preferred codec for that call.

UIP-200 conference call
Does anyone know how (if possible) to do three way calling on the
UIP-200? There doesn't seem to be much info about this phone, but all
the feature lists I've read says it can do conference calls. I can't
seem to do it, though. Any help would be appreciated.

Uniden UIP200, please help
Anyone using the UIP200 with *? I am having
difficulty getting the phone to register and *stay*
registered for more than 4 seconds.
The * console shows the UIP200 registering and records
the user agent. The UIP200 displays station name and
time on its LCD, then 4 seconds pass and it shows #1
DISCONNECTED. The * console reports no problem and
believes the device to still be registered.
