ways to get more accuracy from ztdummy
Greetings!
I have a FreeBSD 5.3 running on Intel SR1300 (dual xeon 2.6, scsi) server,
with ztdummy.ko driver as timing source for asterisk.
The typical output from zttest is:

AMD 64 - I20/ I20_blocks
I'm trying to install either 32-bit or 64 bit centos 4.3 and I keep
getting an error:
"No valid devices were found on which to install filesystems".
In checking BIOS and RAID, everything seems fine, but I just found some
research about I20.
An alternative would be the i2o_blocks module.
How can I install CentOS 4.3 x86_64 using i2o_blocks? How do I instruct

Problem with tor2 driver and Zapata Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI Card
Hi All,
I'm having a bit of a time getting my Tormenta 2 card to actually be
seen by the system. Whenever I modprobe, the kernel spits out the
following (in addition to the "insmod tor2 failed" messages):
Invalid Xilinx 8 bit Base resource
Registered Tormenta2 PCI
Of course, the module says that its registered a Tormenta2 card, but it
unloads the driver and frees related

Debian Etch doesn''t boot 2.6.26-bpo.1-xen-686 but 2.6.26-bpo.1-686 works fine?
Hoi,
I am trying to get a 32 bit Debian Etch system up & running with kernel
2.6.26 from backports.
The system boots fine with 2.6.26-bpo-1-686 but cannot boot with
2.6.26-bpo.1-xen-686, see below. The Xen kernel loads the disc
controller (dpt_i2o) OK and detects the RAID array successfully but
still can''t mount its root filing system. Any ideas?
kind regards,
Jan

can not wake on lan after halt -p (or shutdown -p now) on releng_7 and releng_7_0
Hello list
I have a shutdown problem. I have a machine with gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R
motherboard. Integrated network card is Realtek 8111B.
I can not wake the computer after I shutdown it from FreeBSD.
It is a dualboot system - windows xp and freebsd. If I shutdown the
computer from windows - later I can wake it up with magic packet. Even
if i shutdown the machine on the boot menu with the power

Module loading order during install
Is there a way in a kickstart install to affect the order in which modules
get loaded? I want to load 3w-xxxx before 3w-9xxx so that my OS mirror
drives take their proper place as sda and sdb, but centos-4 wants to load
3x-9xxx first, making my (unbootable) big arrays the first two drives. In
this configuration, it seems that even trying to install grub to /dev/sdc
fails. Ideas? Thanks.

kickstart - how do I specify I20_block driver
Hi,
I have alot of kickstart and scripting going on as I provision lots of
machines, and every now and then I run into a pesky machine or three
that's still got that Adeptec zero-channel RAID card sitting on the
board. Normally I like to rip it our and throw something more robust
in, but if it's a cache machine or whatever, I leave it in.
It makes my kickstart file useless until I

Migrating RHEL 3 to Centos 5.2 - has Adaptec 2400a RAID
Greetings all. I'm new to the mailing list. Hope to get to know many
of you. I'll jump right in with a recent project. I have a machine with
RHEL WS 3 - Taroon; plus dual boot to Win 2000 Pro. The RAID card is
Adaptec's 2400A w/128 megs cache, running RAID 10 on 4 WD's. I want to
migrate to 5.2 Centos and wipe the NTFS partition. I have the 5.2 Centos

Intermittent Silence
I am currently experiencing intermittent silences with my asterisk system.
The symptoms are as follows:
* Both for incoming and outgoing calls, I (and other users)
occasionally experience a brief period of silence.
* The silence lasts anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds.
* It is not due to silence suppression, because the silences
generally occur in the middle of sentences.
* Silences occur at

Samba-3.6.1 release IPV6 issue
Dear Sir,
I am trying to use the shared files from Windows 7 using IPV6 address.
But I couldn't able to map or access it through V6 address, though I can
access it through IPV4 address.
I tried almost every thing whatever I did find on the internet
community.
I would be grateful to you if you could help me to make this working.
If possible please provide all the steps including

The Grandstream 286s automatically re register when a connection is

Our Grandstream 2010s don't. Does anyone know of a setting that makes them
reregister? I has tweaked "Watchdog timer" and anything that looked
promising.

Intel ZCR Controllers ...
I'm about to get two fully configured servers dumped into my lap ... both
of them are currently *stably* running Linux, and are to be reformated
(apparently tomorrow) with FreeBSD 4.8 ...
Are there any known issues, like the 'over 2G' issue with the Adaptec
2120s card, with the Intel ZCR Raid controllers that should make me wary
of accepting these servers? Is anyone using them in

SuperServer 6024H-82R and Centos 3.3
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any familiarity with this
server? It uses the Super X6DH8-G2 motherboard. Currently, we've added an
Adaptec 2120S Ultra320 RAID PCI Controller Card to get RAID 5 capability. The
installation bombs and from what I can tell it looks like we're getting SCSI
resets or the controller is going offline maybe. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.
