MGCP and SIP clients
Hi folks I seted up the asterisk with an active ISDN B1 AVM Card (german vendor) and it works fine, various SIP clients (IP fon snom, xlite under MacOSX) and also incoming and outgoing connectins. Ok. No problem. After that I configured a CP7940G with a MGCP IOS. It's connected to the asterisk too via switch. No NAT deivce between. And of course, I can call out to PSTN and also to one of the

MGCP and call waiting, doesn't work.
Hey guys, can you shead some light on this? I will copy my mgcp.conf and post below, but here is the problem. I can't get call waiting to work with my MGCP device. I already have one call going, and I can hear the second call come in, I flash over to it, but all I get is a dial tone, * puts the 1st call on mute/hold, but I never get the second, and it terminates. I flash back over and pick

MGCP information
I have read over the archives and am still a little confused about mgcp support in asterisk. I realize the mgcp channel is server side only (but jump in and correct me if I got this wrong.) I have seen a few references to sip<>mgcp interteroperability in patches, so now I am wondering what the case is with support in the code. What I actually want to do is have asterisk act as the client

mgcp transfer takeback with ata186 (logs with comments - long post)
Hi, in following of a recent discussion I got to work on MGCP with the Cisco ATA186 again, and got it to work very nicely. However, there is a little thing with transfers I would like to get comments on: Call comes in from PSTN and goes to an ATA186 (MGCP) Call is answered and then, using flash, transferred to another extension If the extension is available, there can be an announcement and

Asterisk / 183 message
Hello, My company is doing some * testing with our Class 5 softswitch and had some questions regarding ringback being provided to our PSTN users (off --> on net calling) Currently with MGCP subscribers, we know the PSTN ringing is provided by a digital PBX for example, However, it looks like with SIP, our softswitch is relying on MGCP signaling on our PSTN gateways to provide ringback

Asterisk with ShoreTel 210 (MGCP)
Okay, so I'm a noob. Asterisk looks very promising, so I say "thanks" and "good job" to all who contribute. My * test box is up and running with soft phones using IAX and SIP, so now I'm on to testing hard phones. I borrowed a couple ShoreTel 210 phones from somebody who had them on hand but they only support MGCP. I see that there's an mgcp.conf in

Hello I have a problem with my MGCP voice gateway. I use D-Link DG104S Boot PROM Version 3.0B38-D Firmware Version 3.0T86-D I tried asterisk v 0.7.2 and I am using latest CVS version now. Asterisk/InterTel Axxess via MGCP? Anyone?
Hello everyone - first time poster, long time lurker. (sounds like a radio morning program, I know). I'm attempting to get my InterTel Axxess (w/v9.0 software) to play nice with my Asterisk implementation. Asterisk 1.2.6 is running on a Fedora Core 4 x86 box. I've tried getting the Axxess to talk SIP to Asterisk, but InterTel's SIP implementation is, well-let's say, incomplete.

As anybody managed to get working Asterisk against an MGCP Cisco gateway ? Which MGCP version should I use ? Also I recently

Carrier Access CMG/FXS MGCP to Asterisk, Works Fine
FYI, Follow the Quick Start Guide from Carrier Access to setup the CMG (Customer Media Gateway) Router card. Follow the Asterisk mgcp.conf wiki page setup. The only issue I had was with the CAC CMG card, it defaults to strict policy message exchange and dial-tone will not come across when you go off-hook on a FXS port. To resolve this, get back into the CAC CMG configuration, goto: -profile

RTP stream missing the target - cisco 5300 + mgcp
Hi! I have strange problem, I hope it's just a configuration problem, but maybe not. I'm trying to make a call between a MGCP gateway and Cisco 5300 talking SIP. Everything is fine except that audio is one way (from 5300 to MGCP gateway only). It seems that during reinvite Cisco gets confused by session ID and version and excpects RTP stream on different port. The call flow on SDP

MGCP question
Hi List I have one question about MGCP in asterisk. I have a media gateway, and I want to have asterisk to work with the media gateway. As I was told that the media gateway can communicate with the switch via standard interface MGCP/ICGP. Question is if the asterisk MGCP supports such MGCP message ??? Thanks. George Lin

Asterisk as MGCP endpoint
It looks like Asterisk's mgcp, defaults as "connect to" endpoints or gateways. Is there a means to have it act as the endpoint or gateway? I have another system that needs to "connect to" a mgcp endpoint and I would like that to be asterisk. Thanks! Philip Kubat
