Asterisk 1.6.1.x SMDI MWI w/Fujitsu F9600 Problem
We have recently pulled an ancient Fujitsu-branded Centigram voicemail system out of production use and replaced it with an Asterisk box, which is now serving as our enterprise voicemail system and automated attendant. The Asterisk system is connected to a Fujitsu F9600 PBX and uses the 1.6.1.x SMDI module to communicate between the two systems. Save for one issue, the replacement of the old

Asterisk SMDI for Nortel Option 11
Does anyone know if Asterisk can function as a voicemail system for a Nortel Option 11 PBX? We will be connecting Asterisk to act as an IVR before sending calls to the Nortel and as a Voicemail system in case the user does not answer. That part is trivial, the only problem we have is that the customer wants the Voicemail light on the Nortel phones to light up when a user gets a new message.

Asterisk FXS & SMDI for Octel access
Hello: I've been wrestling with an integration issue for which there also seems to be one piece missing. I'm hoping someone on this list can help. Due to a complete lack of cooperation from our current voice provider we are in need of an alternative way to access our Octel 350 voicemail system from our SIP (SER) proxy. I can redirect and relay calls to numerous destinations via

simple dialplan trick I can't figure out (smdi, mwi substitute)
This is what I would like to do... exten =>7299,1,Voicemail(u8896) exten =>7299,2,Dial(zap/g1/#641299) exten =>7299,3,Hangup What I would expect to happen is... Incoming call is answered by voicemail... Voicemail app finishes and the next priority starts. This is where the problem lies... After the intial call is ended the process is ended and the voicemail notification string

SMDI Bounty - where?
I am the one that placed the bounty. After it being there for 2 months and getting no takers (and very few if any people asking about it), we are almost finished writing it in house. I'll keep the bounty up untill we do finish our product so if anyone beats us to getting it working they'll get paid... W. Kevin Hunt CCIE #11841 MCSE, Linux+ SME www.huntbrothers.com >

No SMDI interfaces are available
Hi, I'm a brand newbie to asterisk trying to set it up for the first time and I can't get a softphone to connect, the connection times out. I had a trixbox pro install working, but I need more control and would like to learn to do it with asterisk. In /var/log/asterisk/messages I see: WARNING[17401] res_smdi.c: No SMDI interfaces are available to listen on, not starting SMDI

SMDI support on trixbox
Last question for the day, I promise. On voip-info.org and trixbox.org, I found some old threads on MWI via SMDI. Has this been rolled into Tbox or has anyone successfully rolled it in after the fact. As part of our longterm plan, I'd like to move the legacy PBX to Tbox and pass MWI back to it via SMDI, like the current system. As we drop the extensions on the legacy side and move to all IP

DTMF Timing and Fujitsu F9600 Switch
We're in the process of replacing an ancient Centigram-based, but Fujitsu-labelled, voicemail system with an Asterisk solution. The system will interface with a Fujitsu F9600 switch and use the SMDI module in Asterisk 1.6.1.x to communicate the calling information needed to make the interplay between the two systems work smoothly. This portion of the project is configured and working fine, as

Asterisk and PhoneControl
Hi, Has anyone had any experience integrating Asterisk 1.4 with PhoneControl call accounting software ( www.phonecontrol.com.au ) Apparently the s/w does SMDI on serial interface and IP collection. Looking at SMDI in Asterisk I don't think that method will work for SIP calls. Craig -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

A way to run extenrnotify when IMAP events take place...
I have IMAP voicemail working with Exchange 2003 using a single username and password for multiple mailboxes. Right now, I am setting up asterisk to use voicemail with my Cisco Call Manager (Which I detest BTW...) and I have everything working, EXCEPT: I cannot get my externnotify script to run when any changes have been made to the VoiceMail... Scenario: Bob gets a call -> Bob
