learning lattice graphics
Hi,
I've just produced my first lattice plot - the graphic is very
impressive, but I only partly understand how it works. I crimped from
examples in MASS and the help pages to get most of what I want done.
Howver, I find both MASS and the help pages are a little too terse for
my needs as a beginner. Can anyone suggest web or print resources for
lattice graphics that provide a more thorough

Quick plot question
Is there an easy way to add an axis or just a simple line at the 0
position of a graph with positive and negative values. Specifically,
I'ld like to add a zero line on a plot of residuals from a fit. I'm
very new at R so if this is a dumb question feel free to let me know but
I'ld still appreciate any help.
Thanks

blues in c
G'Day,
I'm a little confused why the c function has the followng effect on
classes - is this a feature ? My workround [ class(cc) <- c("POSIXt",
"POSIXct") ] seems to do the job.
Many thanks

Crossover cable for E1 ?
I'm looking to connect a BMC 450 to an asterisk with a Digium Quad E1 card.
Am I right in thinking that I'll need a special 'crossover-E1' RJ45 cable?
If so, any clues where I might buy one in the UK? The Digium card sellers don't seem to
stock such a thing.
Thanks.

accessing current factor in tapply
G'Day,
I want to access in a function called from tapply the current factor. In
my example below, all I want to do is to write the current factor on each
histogram. Needless to say my example does not work. I would be grateful
for pointers in the right direction.
Many thanks

graphing plots of plots
I want to make a graph where each element plotted is itself a graph. I can
see how to use par(fig=) and viewport to do that, but they require (i think)
me to do my own scaling as they are scaled to the graphics window. any
advice on which approach I should take (just bite the bullet and do my own
scaling), or is there something else I should try, or any examples I should
look at. many thanks

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] AArch64 Clang CLI interface proposal
I knew I'd regret leaving that option in for the MIPS port back in 99.
Basically this is the only acceptable way for mcpu to exist, but should
never have been added to the GCC aarch64 port at all since there's no
compatibility with existing build systems to worry about.
I would still like you to show this mythical piece of software that needs
this compatibility.

a/b door phone
Hi!
I would like to connect a door phone to my asterisk server.
I decided to do that with an analog (a/b) doorphone and a sipura box.
Can anyone give me a recommendation for a door phone with good voice
quality?
I am from Austria/Europe and I looked at products from Rocom and from
Auerswald.
Does anyone use one of these door phones and can me tell his/her opinion
on that?!
thx in advance,

serial port problem
Hi,
I tried to run an older windows program under wine (I think it is an
older 16bit Borland C compiled binary - the icons looks have the
typically Borland look) for connecting my telephone system via a serial
connection (Auerswald ETS2106W.EXE). The program iteself starts but it
tells me every time that it gets no connection with COM2. To verify
that the serial connection is ok I a have

Unbootable machine
Hello Peter & Jeremy,
I've found an ordinary desktop PC (with Phoenix Award BIOS 6.00PG) that
won't boot off a USB stick created by livecd-tools-024 with syslinux
(tested both versions 3.75 and 3.81).
The boot process drops to the "boot:" prompt with an error message:
could not find kernel image: linux
The same USB stick boots fine on any other computer I could find.

Upgrading a domain controller to Debian 8 (samba 3 to 4) resulted in the message "no mapping between names and security
ids was done" at times. The message appears on the windows 7 domain pcs when running explorer.exe. Also other basic
things did not work: internet explorer, or mapping between

However, I still have problem by following edk2's code, my test code is

Do you have any suggestion to solve this? Thanks!

AVM C4 with Asterisk in front of an ISDN PBX
Good day,
anyone out there running an ISDN pbx behind an Asterisk server with an
AVM active card? At this moment Asterisk is connected to the internal
ISDN bus of the PBX, but I want to control the calls coming in from the
outside, before sending them of to the PBX.
Any BTDT is greatly appreciated.

the attached patch IMHO improves the man page regarding use of the
