Re: Asterisk and Capi
Dear list, I tried to install the CAPI support RPM from the SUSE 9.2 disks. YaST tells me it is happy with the process. The Asterisk release I am using is the one that comes packaged in RPM format, also included in the distribution. Still starting asterisk with the usual asterisk -vvvc I see that something goes wrong. Not authorized to login from this station
Hi, Can any point me in the right direction to solve this one? I get a: "this account is not authorized to login from this station" message when I try to "Map Network Drive" from NT4server SP4 to my RH Linux 6.0 Samba 2.0.3, yet I can open a telnet session from the NT machine to Linux using this user, and, in a linux xterm window I can list the samba services using

Multiple NICs on Asterisk box
Hi All, Long time no chat ;-) Asterisk 1.0.9 (sometimes) won't authenticate IAX phones after re-boot of SuSE 9.3 box I've traced the problem to be with the firewall and the fact that I have 2 NICs in the box. Now that I have opened port 4569 on both interfaces, asterisk seems happy *but* does anyone know how to force SuSE 9.3 to always bring up a specific NIC before the otherone? On

howto on ISDN HFC cards with AAH v1.1
Hi, Can anyone please point me in a direction as to how to set up these 2 pci cards with AAH 1.1? I have (am still) googling left, right & center - but haven't found a definitive guide yet. The centos based setup lacks any of the tools I know (insmod, modprobe ....) so it is time consuming just to even dig around the AAH box. There are no zaptel.conf files ....and on it goes. A

NetBios name resolution from WINDOWS
Hi, I've been following a similar and current thread about name resolution from LINUX side. I have exactly the opposite problem (running ubuntu 7.10 on a network with a mixture ubuntu 6.06, WinXP and WinVista boxes) The winboxes cannot see or mount this 7.10 box I can mount WinPC shares on this 7.10 box. I was wondering about firewalls, but I can ping this 7.10 from the WinBox by IP address

IAXphone -> ip address -> extension number.
Hi, I'm trying to set up two ACT SIP/IAX capable phones to communicate with each other on the same internal network, using asterisk 1.0.9 on SuSE 9.3 (because I intend to grow the situation after this basic setup is functioning) The phone IPs are set to 192.168.0.201 and 202 respectively. I've had a look at iax.conf and extensions.conf but cannot see how to tie these IPs to an

Operating AAH v1.1
Hi, Just set up AAH 1.1 using an HFC BRI line and 5 IP phones as per http://voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=ACT+P104+IP+Phone The dialplan was configured through AMP and has nothing fancy in it. As a first time user of not only Asterisk, but also a PBX, there are some operator teething problems. After much googling & searching of voip-info.org, I cannot find any answers to these

make error for zaptel
Hi, I'm running SuSE 9.3 fully updated using YOU and I *have* re-booted the box (in a hope to sort out the uname -r issue mentioned below). I'm using the Asterisk Doc Proj vol 1 to guide me through the initial setup. I have no special HW and intend to use asterisk on an internal network just to get some experience. I have downloaded what I think I need and placed it in /usr/src (see

CAPI not installed, after changed from i4l to CAPI
I had unexpected hangups from my asterix box using the i4l driver. (SIP <-> SIP calls worked execellent, but SIP<->ISDN didn't.) Then I changed the i4l driver in modem.conf with the chan_capi from jungham. (http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk) I followed his instructions in the INSTALL file, and first encountered some errors compiling it. It help by deinstalling several

MAKEing zaptel and ztdummy on SuSE 9.3 - Repost
Hi, Sorry to re-post, but I'm still having hassles with ztdummy. I'm using kernel 2.6.11.4-21.7-smp and Asterisk 1.0.8 on SuSE 9.3 The first 3 makes (see below) for zaptel work out ok - but the ztdummy.ko (etc) files *are* created even though I haven't yet uncommented ztdummy in Makefile. If the ztdummy bits are compiled, why edit Makefile & run make again? modprobe ztdummy

[LLVMdev] [PATH] Fixes for the amd64 JIT code
Hi, It looks like the problem was with the RIP relative addressing. The original patch mistakenly removed the || DispForReloc part because I tough that the RIP relative addressing was done by the SIB encodings, but it is actually done by the shorter ones. The attached patch seems to work for me on linux and when simulating darwin by forcing some variables in X86TargetMachine.cpp to their darwin

[LLVMdev] [PATH] Fixes for the amd64 JIT code
Hi, I can't reproduce these failures on my linux machine. The test machine seems to be running darwin. I suspect that the problem might be with RIP relative addressing, or with the encoding of R12/R13, but the code seems to handle the latter, since it checks for ESP/EBP which is the same as R12/R13. [LLVMdev] [PATCH] Add support for accessing the FS segment register on X86
Hi, If I'm writing a JIT, and want to access the TLS variables of the app containing the JIT, I can't use thread_local since that only works for variables declared in LLVM IL and/or managed by the ExecutionEngine. While this patch allows a JIT to generate the TLS accesses itself, if it knows the tls offset of the variable in question. Zoltan On Tue, May 5, 2009 at

[LLVMdev] [PATH] Fixes for the amd64 JIT code
Hi Zoltan, The part that determines whether SIB byte is needed caused a lot of regressions last night (see Geryon-X86-64 etc.). I've reverted it for now. Please take a look. [LLVMdev] LLVM intrinsic for SSE ANDPS instruction
Hi, The arguments to the 'and' instruction must be integer types or vectors of integer types. If I have a compiler whose source language has support for andps by having its own intrinsics, then I would have to generate code to convert the float vector into an int vector before passing it to llvm's and instruction, then convert the result back.
