Bell Canada (Nortel DMS100) PRI Outbound CNAM issue
Hi Folks, I'm trying to send CallerID Name information out to the PSTN via a PRI with Bell Canada with no success. With inbound calls (originating from the PSTN) CNAM is received successfully, and we've not had any similar problems with other Telco PRIs, so I'm stumped.

Free CNAM
FreeCNAM.org is providing a free CNAM API for Open Source PBX users. This API queries a private CNAM database, and returns standard 15-Character CNAM results. Any entry not already in the database will be queued for investigation, and added to the database as soon as information is located. This system has access to several CNAM backends, and is not a party to any use-limiting or no-caching

any ISDN/PRI signaling experts out there?
I have officially engaged in a pissing contest with the local Telco over PRI calling name delivery. The telco publishes their calling name delivery over PRI feature as being bellcore gr-1367-core compliant. The gr-1367-core spec states that the calling name is to be included as a facility IE in the setup message, or sent in a subsequent facility IE message with an indicator in the setup message

T.38 on a MAX/Lucent/Ascend TNT
Hello folks, I've been trying to get T.38 over SIP working with calls terminated by a MAX/Lucent/Ascent TNT. As far as I can tell, SIP and T.38 are actually working perfectly; however, I can't get the TNT to properly terminate a FAX call. Does anyone have a working configuration for SIP and T.38 for calls from a TNT or APX? Here's a brief description/diagram of my test setup:

CNAM lookup: new method for Caller ID Name delivery
[cross-posted to -biz and -users since it could fall into either category] Interesting new product that has been introduced that I think some would be interested in here (at least, those users in the United States and perhaps Canada): CNAM delivery via IP lookup. The problem: inbound calls on many PRI connections, and also over many VoIP providers, do not include caller name. This means that

CNAM.
So, is there anyone out there that provides rather generic but comprehensive CNAM-style directory services via SIP, to end-users? So I can put names to my calling numbers? Thanks! -- Alex Balashov Evariste Systems Web : http://www.evaristesys.com/ Tel : +1-678-954-0670 Direct : +1-678-954-0671

CNAM for Asterisk
I am working for Accudata Technologies. We provide CNAM via http request or raw TCP/IP connection. We would like to provide the same capability to Asterisk. I installed Asterisk on Fedora 2.0 and did reading about AGI and AGI application at http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+AGI, http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+Manager+API, and The Asterisk Handbook Version2 but still

max tnt pri voice channels 56k or 64k, does it matter, selection parameter?
Hi All, We are using MAX TNT to for some T1 PRI interconnects. I'm seeing the voice channels connect at 56K. Does anyone have the DS0 channels connecting at 64K for voice, if so what is the parameter to select 56k or 64k channels? I'm not having any issues that I know of, just wanted to bounce this off the group for a sanity check. Thanks. JR -- JR Richardson Engineering for the

Configure Max TNT PRI to SIP with Asterisk
Hi All, Any of you Max TNT Guru's out there have some sample configs for a Max TNT running 11.0.6 code? The example on the wiki was for 10.0 code, it doesn't quite match up with the newer 11.0.6 TOAS release. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. JR -- JR Richardson Engineering for the Masses

Asterisk and Lucent APX8100 Universal Gateway
we're evaluating the use of a Lucent APX8100 E3/SS7 to SIP gateway for use in conjunction with asterisk, serving something like 4000+ lines. does anyone have experience with the APX8100 and it's integration with SIP on asterisk ? does the APX8100 handle SS7<->SIP signalling well enough to be used ? any anecdotes would be well appreciated. -- Regards,

T1 E&M vs PRI question
Ok, I'm about to take the plunge, and am trying to decide between Channelized T1 E&M and PRI. I'm getting an "Integrated T1" which will have data and voice capability, all plugged directly into my digium single T1 card. In either case the data piece looks pretty straighforward, just setup the channel properly, hand it off to the linux hdlc layer, and route away.... the

Asterisk and Max TNT Passing calls SIP to PRI, not PRI to SIP Authentication Issue
Hi All, I have a lab setup with two asterisk servers and a MAX TNT in the middle like this: asterisk sip >< sip TNT pri >< pri asterisk The TNT is running 11.0.6 and the asterisk servers are running 1.2.9.1. I can get calls to pass from asterisk sip to tnt to pri to asterisk but not the other way. The call from asterisk to pri to tnt is good, the TNT is passing SIP invite to the

National (US) callerid name resolution for your asterisk box
Hi All, I've been in contact with a CNAM (caller name) directory provider. Currently they offer 2 products. One is CNAM via SS7 and the other is Directory Assistance data via http/xml. I am very interested in getting the CNAM data via http/xml (or DNS TXT). I suggested this to the sales rep and he told me that I'm the second person in less than a month who has asked for this. What

Request for PRI Dump
Hello, To assist Matt's efforts in bug 3554 (2BCT & CNAM), I'm hoping someone can provide a dump of the setup and related messages from a PBX that supports outgoing Station Name to the CO. As suggested in the bug, I tried to ask my telco for a dump of the setup messages for a client that supports this but was told to contact my vendor as they cannot provide that information.

Redis in place of astdb
Hi, Does anyone know of any projects that would allow you to use Redis in place of AstDB? By in place of I don't mean for what Asterisk needs but to store values. For instance for CNAM currently we need to use an AGI to connect to redis to pull CNAM. So in place of: Set(CALLERID(name)=${DB(CNAM/${CALLERID(num)})} it would be done with redis for example:
