Sharing an outside line between a modem and a TDM400
I have an analog modem and a TDM31B and one outside line. I want to use the modem to dial out on demand for a PPP network connection and also use the outside line with the TDM31B. I am willing to have the modem work at 28.8Kbps. I want a lock of some sort so that voice calls do not break in on data calls and vice versa. My first thought was to have the modem connected to the TDM31B and have

wcfxs causing constant CPU spikes
Hi All, I have a problem (at least I think it's a problem) where the wcfxs module causes constant CPU usage spikes. The card being used is a Digium Wildcard TDM400P with 3 FXO modules and 1 FXS (TDM31B). Monitoring my otherwise idle asterisk box (with top) I see once every 3-5 seconds hi (hardware interrupt) spike to 30%-40% and then drop back to 0 again. This is the case wtih both asterisk

Interesting Conference Request - Can this be done ?
Hi List, I have a client that has an interesting request. He wants to have people call in to a conference room and all be able to talk however they should not hear each other. There should be admin access to for one user to call in and be able to listen in to everyone that is talking (they may want this admin to be able to talk to). Any ideas ? Thanks. Latest CVS, Grandstream and Zaptel bug?
Hi, I'm confused as anything by this bug. I'm hoping that it is just something screwy in my config. I have 1 Cisco 7960 and several Grandstream BT101 & 102's, and a Digium TDM31B. I'm running the latest CVS (CVS-HEAD-05/27/04-17:22:40) of both Asterisk and the Zaptel driver on Fedora Cora 1. When I make an outgoing call on the Cisco phone, everything works fine. I'm

Zap channel still in use after MeetMe conference ends
Here's the scenario: 1. I call out through * using a X100P card to somebody. Then I transfer them to a MeetMe conference and that all works. 2. After the conference is over everybody hangs up but "show channels" shows that the Zap/1-1 channel is still in use by MeetMe and the analog line is not freed up for re-use. Ever. Any clues? Thanks!

Zap channel stuck in conference
Hello, I have a strange problem with one of my Zap channels. A user told me that he was in a voicemail system during a call, hit the Flash button, and the call hung up. Now we get no dialtone on the phone hooked up to the channel. Here's the status of the channel: jmartin at rogue:~$ sudo asterisk -r -x "zap show channel 7" Parsing /etc/asterisk/extconfig.conf Channel: 7 File

Data over Voice through Asterisk
Hi, I'm trying to make a dialup internet connection through my asterisk PBX. When I bipass the Asterisk box, I can get 51600bps. When I run through the asterisk box, I'm limited to about 21600bps. I have a TDM31B card. Any help on speeding these connections up would be good - I was on the understanding that if you bridged the channels, then the call should essentially flow straight

Monitored outbound dialing via Zap interface?
I'm using a T100p to interface to a channel bank and from there to analog PSTN lines. Because of my particular setup I have to do post-connect inband DTMF dialing - which takes up to 5 seconds for a 10 digit number, assuming 0.5/sec per digit (ie. using "zap/g1/31|5|D(6045551212)". Even with an 'outside transfer' voice prompt before commencing dialing my users are getting

Splitting the list
I've changed the heading because this really is another thread. I think it inevitable that there will, in the course of time, be other lists that are devoted, in some shape or form, to the concerns of practitioners (at all levels) who are using R. One development I'd not like to see is fracture along application area lines, allowing those who are comfortable in coteries whose

[LLVMdev] Bugzilla Offline
Dear All, We'll be doing some pseudo-emergency maintenance on the Bugzilla installation on the LLVM server this afternoon (basically moving files to a larger partition to avoid further disruptions of service). As this will be done by our IT staff, I don't know exactly when they will commence, but for now, just don't use Bugzilla even if it appears to be up. I'll have our IT
