zaphfc: empty HDLC frame or bad CRC received
Hi, i've downloaded/compiled/installed the bristuffed asterisk
Asterisk 1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC8a
and i'm using it with an hfc card. It runs on a debian 3.1 sarge machine
with kernel 2.6.11. Asterisk works well if i configure the card using
isdn4linux.
I'm having problems dialing out (not tried the input yet).
This is the output from asterisk:

R: zaphfc: empty HDLC frame or bad CRC received
I have the same problem in a box with 2 HFC-PCI, but i already remove the row in modprobe.conf and load the module manually.
Both cards works fine
Any idea ?

HDLC Bad FCS / HDLC Abort solution
Hi
Related to this message:
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2005-February/090205.html
After having a lot of trouble with abort and breakdown of the PRI connection I
finally figured out what was wrong:
The kernel was compiled for generic ide chipsets which doesn't support DMA.
When our daily backup created some load for the disks the interrupts for the

HDLC Bad FCS (8) HDLC Abort on TE410P
Dear All,
we have installed a TE410P card on a Dell Poweredge 1750 running a slackware
10 with 2.4.26 Kernel. Then we have made two loops on the card and we have
configurated all the 120 channels. Our goals was to perform some stess tests
even if in this scenario we used the same box as generator and target.
The stress test comprised to generate up to 60 calls at the same time by

CVS HEAD HDLC Abort on a TE405P PRI
I just upgraded my asterisk install from january 2005 CVS HEAD to current CVS
HEAD :
* zaptel
* libpri
* asterisk
My asterisk have one TE405P with one span (the clock source) pluged into a
telco PRI E1, a second span is a PRI E1 to another PBX and the third one is a
T1 to a rhino channel bank.
Everything went smoothly except that the two PRI span restart every ten seconds

Compiling HDLC does not Produce hdlc0 for T100p

I have not been able to get nethdlc to work, just get zaptel networking

zaptel ppp HDLC Receiver Overrun messages
I have a pair of sites tied together with a T1 line running zaptel PPP
on either end. The system works, but I keep getting these messages in
the kernel logs, and users are reporting connection problems (TCP
timeouts, and hangs) especially under high usage.

Fwd: hdlc and kernel 2.4.26
Hello,
I contacted Krzysztof Halasa, the maintainer of the current sethdlc
code. This is the response he gave me.
Of course, I have this working now. Still some minor configuration to
do, but It does work, and the connections to the internet are _much_
faster than when I went through the adtran... I would highly recommend
to anyone with a fractionated T1, with data and voice channels to

DAHDI 2.4.0 produces HDLC errors with echo canceler
Hi,
After upgrading to DAHDI 2.4.0 from Zaptel, I noticed a lot of HDLC
errors on my console:

[Nov 27 01:15:09] NOTICE[2743] chan_dahdi.c: PRI got event: HDLC Abort

These errors prevented calls from being made and received on my PRI spans.

HDLC bad FCS
I have 2 servers, configured identically. Each has a TE405P and 2 PRIs. One server was experiencing crackly audio on one circuit, accompanied by HDLC
bad FCS messages. The telco recabled and moved me to another port on the DMS-100. The audio is better, but there are still bad FCS problems on the
span. I have moved the PRI in question to the other server, and the problem does indeed move with the

Bridging ethernet over hdlc
I'm attempting to bridge ethernet over hdlc between two * boxes. If anyone
has any information they can offer concerning this, it would be greatly
appreciated.
Here's the configuration the companies IT guy wants to bridge. I have it
working already without a bridge, but he wants the head box's ethernet to be
on the same subnet as the ethernet across the span.

HDLC on T1
I have a new client who is about to order an Integrated PRI T1--eight
voice channels and the remainder data. He's not sure whether Qwest will
provide a router to split the voice and data.
I remember we had a lot of trouble with HDLC in Linux kernels past
2.4.19. Have those problems been fixed in the 2.6 kernel? Will I be
able to split the voice and data channels using zaptel?

PRI got event: HDLC Bad FCS (8) on Primary D-channel of span
Hello,
I get an Error every minute on the second card of two installed TE410P
Cards in our System.
The error is:
PRI got event. HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel of span 5(-8)
PRI got event: HDLC Bad FCS (8) on Primary D-channel of span 5(-8)
Is it possible that there are known problems with 2 cards in one system?

Then every few seconds HDLC errors occour.

HDLC Bad FCS (8) on Primary D-channel
Hello,
I've got a running system in which logs are full of messages such as:
[Jun 10 07:24:14] NOTICE[2414] chan_dahdi.c: PRI got event: HDLC Bad FCS (8)

The strange thing is those messages are coming from a single span.

Junghanns OctoBRI
with wcb4xxp driver
libpri 1.4.10.2
dahdi 2.3.0

B410P: DAHDI BRI PTMP HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel of span 1 (TEI Errors)
Hi all,
So, we reverted the LibPRI version and tested it, and then tried with
the latest version of everything. Still no changes.
The BRI line is in PTMP. If we set the configs to PTMP in the
genconf_parameters and try it, we get the following:
[Jan 21 17:32:20] ERROR[20341]: chan_dahdi.c:12645 dahdi_pri_error:

If we set it to PTP (which it is not) we

HDLC
There were a number of messages about using
a digium card as a data t1 (router) kind of thing.
Is there a howto out there or a status that I can see whether
this is feasible or not?
Or is it feasible but very difficult?
