Hello,
I have configured my TDM01B Card (1 FXO Port ) as follows (below) but it will
not pick up an incoming call.
Any suggestions/tools to see what the problem is? I have looked at zttool

changed from 0 to 1)

Printing to a Samba Printer triggering a DNS lookup and dialling the modem
I have just joined the list and I have a problem, perhaps someone can
help.
I have:
Linux 7.0 with 2.4.7 Kernel (with various upgrades for functionality).
Samba is running on this machine with shares and a printer on the USB
port.
This machine also has a modem (demand dialling) and I am using the
Monmotha Firewall script.
This works quite well for the WinME PC able to access the printer and

Logon script
Hello,
I am having a little problem with executing logon scripts on Win95 clients,
logging into Samba Netlogon service.
When a user logges in, a MS-DOS prompt shows up and quicky disappears. Then
I get
"Please Wait While your logon script executes". It hangs at that point. A
user has to hit cancel to start his win95 session.
I have done the logon script in MS-DOS editor. I have the

New Mongrel 0.3.13 Documentation: HOWTO Do Everything
Just a quick note for a few new features/fixes available on the Mongrel
pre-release and a new document that covers nearly all the big features
and configurations for Mongrel.
First, the document is http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/docs/howto.html and
it covers:
* All the start command options including the fresh -G option to
generate a config for -C.
* The format and usage of the MIME type file (-m

New samba feature or new FF feature?
I just saved some files to my smb server and ended up with a bunch of little
1k files with weird names (when viewed from windows)
all "CAPLETTERS~X"
'cept capletters is 6 long... so all are 8 long...on the linux side, they
are all the same as the file's I downloaded
with ":Zone.Identifier" appended to the name.
I'm pretty sure I don't remember seeing these

Samba Website Updated and Redesigned
If you haven't been to samba.org in the last few hours, it's time to
take a look. Much has changed. The Samba website has been completely
redesigned and updated.
This version of the Samba website has a striking new look and features
XHTML markup and a CSS-controlled layout. In addition to these changes
to samba.org, the Samba Team is pleased to announce the creation of

Bug in 3.6.0 saving files.
Hi,
If you open a word document on a Windows 7 PC on a samba share and attempt
to save it (or ppt, etc) it will fail (SMB2 enabled).
Go back to 3.5.10, it works fine (SMB2 removed obviously).
Not sure if anyone has seen this but FYI.
Happens with Office 2007 & 2010.

How to compile samba-2.2.x on HP/UX 11.00
Hi,
Here's my problem:
Samba-2.2.x (even 2.2.7) compiled right out of the box on HP/UX 11.00
gives some errors in the log file:

Diablo 2 & Wine
I cant really seem to find a definite answer: there's a bunch of stuff written
on the subject, but nothing definite. "I've got it half way working" seems to be
all I can find.
So, has anyone gotten it working fully? I'd love to be able to run this without
having to install windows... that would be a pain having to reformat etc etc
etc...
thx

LineJACK Compatability
It would be nice if Digium updated the hardware compatibility list on
asteriskpbx.org to indicate that the LineJACK can't be used for dialing
out. I've seen several people on IRC be burned by not knowing this.

RFE: Portable OpenSSH
For a future release of Portable OpenSSH, it would be nice to have a
./configure option to enable the binaries produced, to be statically
linked.
I tried using LDFLAGS option to ./configure .... but this passes
arguments to gcc not ld, this should be documented.
Additionally, I feel that ./configure should --extra-inc=dir and
--extra-lib=dir to add paths to compile (-I) and link lines (-L &

DUNDi and Voicemail
Ugh. We thought we'd fixed some problems by using regexten and DUNDi. Guess not.
We have a configuration with three Asterisk boxes. Phones register with a single, primary asterisk box under normal conditions. For voicemail deposit, retrieval, we trunk the calls over to our asterisk voicemail server.
However, the voicemail server now has no knowledge of the location details of the phones,

Ethernet card addr <-> IP
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hi everyone -
Someone I''m working with has a requirement to map ethernet card addresses
to unique IP addresses, and then have a Linux IP masquerade server know of
this mapping list and not allow any data to pass from any ethernet card
that a) it doesn''t know about, or b) isn''t assigned the right IP. Ideally
it would also log this

Transparently Routing German pri through Asterisk
Hi,
at the moment we have in Avaya Integral PBX with german pri (30 lines).
We want to smouthly migrate to an Asterisk server.
For this reason: Is it possible to route the external german pri (E1)
through Asterisk server to that Avaya PBX?
I think at first we need a Digium e1 card 4-Port. But how do we have to
configure the routing of the whole PRI?
I really would appreciate any sample

Incoming calls from BudgetPhone.nl
(this time with subject....)
Hello,
I?m trying to get Asterisk to accept incoming calls from budgetphone.nl.
When I dial my budgetphone nr on a PSTN KPN line it immediately gives a busy
tone.
I tried X-lite, which worked perfect, so my modem (with nat) probably is not
the problem.
I did a sip debug and got the following output.
Because I?m new to Asterisk I can?t get the error why this is not

WYSIWYG IDE, etc...
I''m new to Ruby, so don''t be too hard on me.
Is there a great visual editor for Ruby?
Also can Ruby on Rails (RoR) work with any other databases other than
the ones listed in the documentation, I need to connect to SQLBase?
Can Ruby be used to create standalone Applications (like Java)?
If yes, does it create native looking apps?
Can it be use in Client-Side and/or Server
