dotplot, dropping unused levels of 'y'
In dotplot, what's the best way to suppress the unused levels of 'y' on a per-panel basis? This is useful for the case that 'y' is a factor taking perhaps thousands of levels, but for a given panel, only a handfull of these levels ever present. Thanks, Ben

Anyone running a business hosting plan @ textdrive?
I currently run a handfull of sites on a MediaTemple VPS - which is blazing fast and very cheap for what I get. BUT installing rails and mysql v4 was a major pain in my ass, along with other things. I''m considering switching to a Textdrive business hosting plan but wanted to get some feedback from list members first. I pay about $200 a month quarterly for my MediaTemple service.

Too many columns for list.rhtml to display on one page
I''ve gone once through the Agile book and am now attempting my own rails app. I''ve created a table named ''volunteers'' with over 15 columns. The problem is the default list.rhtml that is created with the scaffold, shows all the columns. I only want to show 4 of them with the list view. Where would I start to only return a handfull of columns to the

[LLVMdev] MVT (machine value type) for MachineOperand
Hi, I am writing a small tool to gather some static statistics on machine code using LLVMs MachineInstr, etc., infrastructure. My current goal is to count the number of bytes of integer and floating point data being processed per iteration of a loop. Now I've ran into the problem that I can't find any obvious way to get the actual type of a MachineOperand. After some digging I noticed

Switchvox vs Asterisk codebase
Does anyone know what version of Asterisk Switchvox uses, and if it is modified in any way? FWIW, I am dealing with a provider that claims compatibility with Switchvox but not Asterisk for their SIP trunking service.

Users Become Nobody
Hello We recently upgraded samba on our UNIX to version 1.9.18p1 partly because sometimes users would become NOBODY rather than their username and this was screwing up the permissions of the files they save or try to read. But this version is doing it too. It seems to be random. Every so often Ill run smbstatus and have a look and a handfull of users are logged on as NOBODY. These clients are

Switchvox
I just inherited a client that is using a Switchvox system. I normally install a CentOS based system with freePBX and some custom endpoint management stuff for Polycom phones. This Switchvox is making me feel a bit stifled. I am having nightmares of another recent encounter with Trixbox Pro. Can I really not ssh into this box? If I could is there anything useful that I might change

SwitchVox and Asterisk
Hello, I need to have an extension on a SwitchVox server dial out to one on an Asterisk (FreePBX actually) box which will host a voice directory. The Asterisk server will then need to dial one of the SwitchVox extensions if it gets a voice match. Anyone has done that, and could let me know how? So far it looks like IAX peering (what SW calls "SwitchVox peering") could work? Thanks in

Switchvox feedback
I have a customer that wants to get switchvox, since I have never used it, I would like to hear some feedback from active users of switchvox. In specific: 1. Does it use realtime or conf files 2. Is it possible to change it manually? 3. Is SSH access to login to console/shell available? 4. Are you or your customers happy with the user interface? TIA

[LLVMdev] MVT (machine value type) for MachineOperand
For the registers on register operands you can query MachineRegisterInfor for their Class. The registerclass should have a list of possible types (usually with the same size in bits) assigned. - Matthias > On May 28, 2015, at 8:11 AM, Fabian Gruber <fabian.gruber at fadeopolis.com> wrote: > > Hi, > > I am writing a small tool to gather some static statistics on machine

Digium acquires Switchvox
As you may have heard, Digium announced this morning that it's acquired Switchvox, a well known provider of Asterisk-based phone systems. Since several people have already asked me about the deal, I figured I'd let you all know my feelings on the matter. First of all, let me say that I personally think this is a great thing for all the parties involved. Obviously this gives Digium a

Call Logs
I'm impressed with the call log reporting that Switchvox offers. There's a screenshot here: http://www.switchvox.com/sv?cmd=screenshots&pic=13 Can normal Asterisk do this? I installed AsteriskNow on an old computer, but I couldn't find anything like that in the GUI. I found the CSV file in /var/log/asterisk/cdr-csv, but that's not much help unless there's some other

Voicemail Emails
Has anyone been able to make an html template for the voicemail emails. We would love to customize them beyond just plain text. We have dome some Google searches and have not been able to come up with much. I believe that Switchvox has customized the voicemail email into html. Has anyone ever tried this? Thanks, /Josh -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Simple Samba server for "at home" - what do I need and what not?
Hello, after two decades without a dedicated file server at home, it is about time to have Samba. While I am mainly a Linux guy there is a couple of systems that don't find rsync and sshfd adequate. We do have a handfull of standalone Windows 10 machines, a bunch of smartphones and a zoo of home entertainment appliances such as a TV, Sat receivers, IP radios/audio players. In addition to

Switchvox HA options
What are the HA options for Switchvox systems? Is it possible to set up redundant systems with DRBD? I know on the digium website they talk about "Optional cold spare failover" What does this mean? Is this an active spare ready for some sort of automated failover? Thanks for you help, Bob

Turnkey alternatives to fonality or switchvox?
Hey all, First-time poster and been following the list for some time. Great postings, all... Currently we're implementing the voipconnection vs-1 for a customer. It's a decent device, and the included admin interface leaves a lot to be desired... The idea of the storing settings compact flash is nice, although sometimes they choose not to stick. All in all, we're thinking about
