Polycom 500 "Group Call Pickup Feature" and *
If you activate (via sip.cfg) the feature Group Call Pickup, its no
surprise that asterisk doesn't know what to do with this feature
request. But it is being sent as a SIP SUBSCRIBE request, and I'm
wondering if, as asterisk stands, there is a way to take advantage of
this feature to emulate the "*8#" normal behavior.
If anyone has any input, there is also a call parking

trouble with IP500
Hello All,
I've spent a day trying to get a Polycom IP500 wokring with my Asterisk
box. I have several others that are working fine, but this one is
getting by me. Can someone on-list tell from the following SIP debug
what I've missed?
Sip read:
INVITE sip:2000@192.168.1.30:5060;user=phone SIP/2.0
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.1.37:5060;branch=z9hG4bK51f01c8152912F0E

Polycomm IP500 dropping incoming calls
Hello everyone.
I can place outgoing calls no problem with my IP500 (using teliax as our
provider). Thing is, when a call comes in, 90% of the time when I pick up
the handset it drops the call immediately. I turned on SIP debug, and have
listed my extension config from sip.conf. Any help is greatly
appreciated.... sooo close.... TIA! -Ron

Howto? 2 interfaces, same network, same gateway
Hello
Summary:
I have ifplugd managing eth0 and wlan0 (both dhcp). When I plug in the cat5
(which brings up eth0) applications which have already bound to wlan0 stop
working, obviously because wlan0 for some reason is unable to get non-local
packets out that interface.
I figured if poodoze is able to have both interfaces working, then linux must
surely be able to do it as well.

Samba 2.2.7a and cups 1.1.18
Hi
I have installed samba-2.2.7a and cups-1.1.18. After reading all the documentation samba
provides as well as the cups administrators guide I am still stuck. I have added the
printers just the way the samba and cups documentation says. Anyway here is my output from
cupsaddsmb, It fails on the last step, so i have run that manually again afterwards with
debugging enabled.

Samba 3.0.1 windows browsing
Hi again all.
I still haven't resolved this issue of browsing the LAN. Here are a few
details:
* The windows stations can see each other when the Samba server is
off-line
* The windows station can't see each or anything else on the
network when Samba is brought on-line
* Wins support is enabled
* each windows station has proper Wins entries with Wins enabled
* the server and stations

Broadvoice outgoing problems
Hello All,
I'm just getting into *, and trying to use a Broadvoice account. It works inbound, but Outbound fails no matter what sip.conf parameters I try. From the recent posts here I think it could be:
A bad CVS release - I will try to download and build from a new one

TFTP-HPA beginner needs help
Thank you for the info Groeten.
I have the TFTPD-HPA server address set to 192.168.1.9:69
I am unable to ping this address and I wonder if the server address
should be the same as the network interface card (ethernet card) I am using.
The files I want to upload are in /srv/tftpboot, so I'm not sure why
the command cd /tmp was used.

macromedia homesite cannot browse share - no path
Hello,
I have my samba share running and I can access everything just fine from
my windows XP work station.
However I have a problem with macromedia homesite. I can see but not
open the share because homesite thinks I do not have access.
I have captured the network traffic with a sniffer and it seems the path
is a problem..
Here is a snip of my network traffic where 192.168.0.9 is my linux

Raw Hangup 69.73.19.178:4569
Can anyone tell me why I keep getting these messages from IAXTEL? It
does appear to register since I get lines like this:
2005-04-30 04:26:42 VERBOSE[1644]: -- Registered to '69.73.19.178',
who sees us as 67.182.152.242:4569
But what is this? I don't think IAXTEL is working for me, since I can't
dial 800 #s through it when I copy the iaxtel.com instructions.

"CIFS VFS: server not responding" with some client/server combinations
I have the following, very strange problem, which I'll try to describe now:
A Samba server running Debian Etch with latest updates.
Different clients one running Etch with latest updates, too. The other one
runs
either Ubuntu (don't know which version because it's not my installation,
but quite recent) or
the older Debian 3 but with a recent vanilla kernel (either 2.6.20.1 or

Tinc-up and Windows...
Hello,
I've used tinc successfully for a long time, all with Linux hosts. No
problem there.
Unfortunately I now have to add a Windows host to the VPN. What a fight
Winblows is! Probably just my ignorance.
The VPN works and tinc says that tinc-up is run (and a debugging
statement proves it) but I can't get an extra route added.
tinc-up.bat contains:

Metadata socket and net2str() error

I was hoping that maybe one of you guys could help me out with a problem I'm

First, I'll start with my configuration, after that I'll explain my problem.

This is a simple, client-server situation on a private network. Both
