VoIP with Asterix
Hi Guys,
I know no doubt this has been covered on the list a zillion time before, but
can anyone point me to some good resources on using Asterix as a VoIP
gateway?
I would like to get two TDM400P cards in two machines attached to separate
adsl connections (in two different physical locations). I'd then like to be
able to plug POTS telephones into each of them (I understand I will need FXS

Is Asterix right tool for me?
Hi ,
I am a newbie with Asterix and not sure if Asterix is a right tool for my needs.
Let's suppose this scenario :
I have a telephone line in one office( all calls are paid to telephone operator).
In other offices I have only internet connections.
Is it possible to use Asterix so that I can make telephone calls from ALL offices( without
direct telecom connection) ? if so, what telephone

asterix and phone system
I am currently looking at putting together an Asterisk PBX system for my home
office. One of the things I need is an expandable 2-line corded/cordless
phone system.
If I wasn't using Asterisk, I'd be getting one of these AT&T systems with 2
extra handsets.

Can't connect Snom 190 to Asterix PBX. Sugge stions?
Here is a part of a working sip.conf for Asterisk with SNOM190 Phones.
Try using host=dynamic and have a closer look at the configuration in the
snom 190.
Also, try using dtmfmode=rfc2833 .

Segfault in ACL Plugin + user shared folders
Hi Timo,
I have another problem, this time with user shared folders:
User "markus" shared the folder "ForTest" to test:
SETACL "INBOX/ForTest" test akxeilrwts
dovecot-acl and shared-mailboxes.db have been successfully updated.
As user "test" the folder (and "#User" namespace) is not visible.

[LIBVIRT] Xen issue.
Hi everybody,
I'ld to use virsh over ssh in order to connect to my xen hypervisor from
one of my DomU.
I tried:
virsh -c xen+ssh://root at 192.168.0.67:22 list --all
And it correctly listed the started virtual computers.
And when I tried
virsh connect xen+ssh://root at 192.168.0.67:22
And I got.
error: no connection driver available for xen:///
error: failed to connect to the hypervisor

Can Asterix seperate the signalling and the media ip's with Quintum
New to Asterix and perhaps someone can help.
The plnned configuration is that the Quintums are to register to the Asterix
and the signalling to be handled by the Asterix but the media (G 729 code)
to be directed to the service provider.

Need help configuring TE100P and 3 X100P clone with MD3200 chipset
I can either get the TE100P working or the 3 X100P clones working, but
never both. I have the TE100P connected to a channel bank, and X100P
clones to lines from the phone company.
This is my zaptel.conf

I then do

tor2 does not load
Hi list,
I have a asterisk box with an E400P that was running ok until last
week.
The machine just stop responding and after a reboot, the module (tor2)
doesn't load anymore.
anyone could help?

I am having a problem connecting my X-Lite to my Asterix box
I have added two extentsions. I am try to test connecting X-lite to the
server.
I have two extension one 1000 with password 1234 and one 2000 with
password 2000.
I have the softphone on the same network so I do not have to worry about
ports being open.
So I have in the properties of Account
Display Name: Andrew
Username :1000
Password: 1234
Authorization name :1000
Domain:192.168.3.128

Cuando quiero realizar un plot del resultado utilizo plot(). el resultado son 6 gráficos: loadings, correlation, inertia axes, scores and predictions, eigenvalues y species. Lo que quería saber es cómo representar en una sola ventana (los 6 gráficos a parecen en la misma) el gráfico correspondiente a Species.

newbie thinclient env
i have a lot of questions, maybe you've got some answers. I've got the
following setup :
1 central server ( linux ) , 17 servers ( LTSP ) on different locations,
where each server has a number of thinclients connected to it ( max 6 ) The
central server / 17 LTSP servers are on the internet and share 1 VPN (
freeswan ). It would be nice if the 17 LTSP servers could use asterix on one

Imagine i want to create application like SMS Alert, however it's a call alert
when something happened, for example server is crashed, i want
to call 100 of my staff (administrator, manager, and others) using
asterix, when they pick up
their phone, my asterix will play an audio file

Hello openssh developers,
I had built openssh-4.7p1 on arm-apple-darwin9 platform, but
I get this error when I load sshd using launchd:
root# launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.openssh.sshd.plist
errors on getaddrinfo(): nodename nor servname provided, or not known
When I execute sshd directly, I don't get any warnings or error
messages, but the sshd is not listening on the intended

Changing gateway address

I inherited an Asterix phone system. I am well versed in Windows based platforms but have zero experience in Linux and Asterix, no make matters worse I have no documentation on this system. I had to change the entire networks gateway address for various reasons but now the Asterix system will not send messages via email. I think it is because of the gateway change. How do I change the

Using Asterix and Hylafax with Eicon DIVA E1
Hi,
I would like to set up a high density FAX/PBX server, am looking at using
Eicon Diva E1 card with Asterisk and Hylafax sharing channels, is this
possible. I know Extensions can be reserved for voice OR fax with the
combination of chan_capi used for * voice, capi4hylafax on fax but then
channels must be dedicated rather than shared ie. would like to be able to
answer voice/fax on same DID.

Softphone recommendation
Hi Folks,
Had a quick search through the archives for softphones and cannot see any
recommended ones.
My question is what recommended free softphones are out there that can be
used with Asterix? I don't really know how many are out there. Is anyone
currently using a softphone with Asterix and if so which one and how do you
find it?
I'm only interested in ones that I can download and use

We encountered errors with winbind :

and also in the samba.log :
