Is this possible?
Anyone tried this, I put in an Asterisk/FreePBX phone system to replace one of those el cheapo Bizfon analog key systems. The Bizfon was able to do follow me to analog lines but I do not believe the capability is in Asterisk. Of course now it becomes the one feature they cannot do without. Somehow the Bizfon is able to detect if an analog line is answered (without answer supervision). If not

Merlin Legend
I have a legacy pbx that I know nothing about. The PBX is a merlin legend system (now owned by avaya). I have found information on the list that I can use a 100D T1 card to bridge the PBX to an asterisk system. We are looking to head this route as well as replacing are AUDIX VM system with Asterisk. Has anyone done this that wouldn't mind sharing some of the merlin specific setup?

Dell PowerEdge 1650
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Anyone have a 1650 running successfully in production mode with 2-4 PRI's? I want to make sure I don't have a motherboard compatibility problem before I buy one of these. We are going to be using a Digium TE210P to start off with and probably moving to the TE411P down the road aways? thanks, Sean -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version:

Shared Line Appearance
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Ok... I am having a serious brain fart this evening. IIRC, the next sip draft addresses shared lines and I thought I remembered something on the list about support for it in the near future. I also thought that chan_sccp supported it with in asterisk. Am I loosing it here? Is there an implementation for shared line support in asterisk? I know that

PCI Problems
OK... maybe I got a little anxious and ran out and bought a Tyan GX28 with dual Opteron (dual core) processors. (It is a nice server ;) ) I did neglect to find out that you can not manually set the IRQ's on this motherboard. I am now stuck sharing an IRQ with the ethernet controller and no foreseeable end to my dilemma. I have a Digium TE210P and zttest consistently runs at 99.97% which

Quad T1 Card
Ok... I am reluctant to ask this question as I believe that it may be like asking what someones favorite linux distribution is... but I need to make an informed decision. We are getting ready to upgrade from a TE210P to a quad T1 card with echo cancellation. I am trying to decide between the Sangoma card and the Digium card. I need this to have great quality and I need it to work well. I would

RAS dialin
I have a samba ldap pdc set up. (2.2.8a). I have a windows domain member that is joined to the domain running ras. When users try to dial in to the server they get "Does not have Dial in permission/rights". Is this an option that samba recognizes at this point? Is there a way to tell windows that a user has dial in privileges? Sean Cook Kinex Networking Solutions

Check my math please
Ok this is kind of a goofy question but I want to make sure I get it right. Suppose we have a 25 mb video, that is 117 seconds long. If we wish for this streaming video to play smoothly with no compression, buffering or skipping, the following bandwidth requirements must be met: 25 megabytes = 204800 kilobits. 204800 kb / 117 seconds ~ 1750kb/s Does that look right to you?

NexentaStor 3.0.3 vs OpenSolaris - Patches more up to date?
I see in NexentaStor''s announcement of Community Edition 3.0.3 they mention some backported patches in this release. Aside from their management features / UI what is the core OS difference if we move to Nexenta from OpenSolaris b134? These DeDup bugs are my main frustration - if a staff member does a rm * in a directory with dedup you can take down the whole storage server - all with

goofy class question
Dear R People: Here is a really goofy question. I have some objects which have 2 classes: data.frame and ucr. Also, the classes will always be in that order. I have tried all sorts of things, but to no avail. listucrModels <- function(envir=.GlobalEnv, ...) { objects <- ls(envir=envir, ...) if (length(objects) == 0) NULL else objects[sapply(objects, function(.x)

Content-Length: 0
While trying to debug a goofy XML loading issue in IE, I''ve found that Mongrel (latest) returns Content-Type: 0 with every request on a particular (CentOS 4) server, yet not on my local (OS X) box. These both access identical Rails apps. This seems like a clue, but thought I''d ask here if for some reason this is expected behavior. Both running Ruby 1.8.4. Both return

x[0]: Can '0' be made an allowed index in R?
You could have negative indices. There are two ways to do this. 1) provide a large offset. Offset <- 30 for (i in -29 to 120) { print(df[i+Offset])} 2) use absolute values if all indices are negative. for (i in -200 to -1) {print(df[abs(i)])} Tim -----Original Message----- From: R-help <r-help-bounces at r-project.org> On Behalf Of Peter Dalgaard via R-help Sent: Monday, April 22,

How could I replace the actual PBX and pass all the calls to the router, as now works. I tryed connecting an asterisk CAPI port against the same BRI Cisco port, but I can not make any calls, I get the following error from asterisk. Connected to
