Problem when using asterisk + gnugk
Hi, I'm using asterisk with chan_h323 together with gnugk. chan_h323 and gnugk were recently compiled with pwlib-1.5.2 and openh323-1.12.2 as advised. When connecting asterisk directly by ohphone (without gatekeeper), everthing is fine. When using gnugk for usage control in routed mode, I find a funny situation in asterisk's H.323 debug: == New H.323 Connection created. --

asterisk/netmeeting works, asterisk/ohphone doesn't?
I've been banging my head on this one for a few days and am quite stuck. I've got a gatekeeper running and everything works there. Netmeeting works calling other netmeeting clients. Netmeeting calling asterisk connects, but netmeeting can't generate the signals to make the demo do anything other than talk. But connection from ohphone always disconnects straight away. I can't seem

help: H323 and SIP
Hi to all, I've installed Asterisk 1.4.9 with h323, and gnugk as soft gatekeeper. I've tested h323 using ohphone and I can talk between them, then I've tested SIP with Twinkle softphones and function very well. Now I have to perform call from h323 to sip and viceversa. How can I do it ???? I receive h323 call from a Cisco Voice GW to my Asterisk and this call have to go to a SIP phone:

GnuGk and Asterisk IVR
Hi, I am working on a H.323 project which involves GnuGk and Asterisk My current goal is to provide IVR functionality for the H.323 users which register through GnuGk(eg. call credit information) I have successfully built a H.323 platform using GnuGk - it uses SQL accounting and authorisation. Now I am trying to integrate it with Asterisk in order to provide IVR functionality as I already

GnuGK Nufone H323 -HEAD - Prefix issue
Greetings- As most of you who monitor this list know, I've been messing about with Asterisk -HEAD, Cisco Callmanager, and the nufone H323 channel driver here for some time- with pretty decent success. I'm hoping to cash in a chip here- I've run into something that is probably a very simple answer, yet not found a decent reference to resolve it. Scenario- -HEAD as of last week

Asteriks, GnuGk and outgoing calls
Hello there I'm quite a newbie in the IP Telephony area. I'm playing a little around with a setup with one linux box with a e100 p card installed, which functions as an Asterisk gateway and a oh323 GK(Gnu Gatekeeper). I have two h323 phones, Welltech WellGate 1501 and 3502. So far I've managed to get the two IP phones and Asterisk connected to the GK. I can place calls from one

Need help with H.323
hi all I'm trying to setup a dlink dph-100h phone (actually a dph-100m but with the h.323 software) with asterisk and chan_h323. AFACS, the dph-100h software can only be configured to point to a gatekeeper. I know I don't need to do this, but it's a test before I setup my Symbol Netvision phones (I don't have an access point for them now). First, this is what I have, and what

Asterisk role
Hi all! I am using ohphone (well, I am trying to) to make calls. I will make an H.323 - SIP Gateway but I don't understand the architecture of all this. What is the exact role of asterisk? It can be used as gateway, that I know, but what else can he do? Is it necessary to have ohphone to make calls or asterisk can also do that? So when the gateway it is going to be implemented how is it

GnuGK -> Asterisk problem
Hi, i'm trying to setup Asterisk to work with GnuGK using the Openh323 channel driver. I have a Gatekeeper that gets H.323 calls from a Cisco GW. To this Gatekeeper I've registered some endpoints, Cisco ATA186, Snom 100, etc. Now i want send the numbers 083xxx into Asterisk. Easy, i'll just enter something like this into oh323.conf: gwprefix=083 And all my calls starting with 083

ERROR[16384]: chan_h323.c:1987 load_module: Gatekeeper registration failed
I'm trying to configure Chan_H323 to register with GnuGK... without success... i've failed finding sample configurations. I'd greatly appreciate anyone who can provide sample config of H323.conf and gnugk.ini I am tyring to configure Asterisk as a neighbor in GnuGK. I'm always getting this error on Asterisk. how to interconnect gnugk and asterisk?
Hello folks. We are trying to interconnect an asterisk installation with a gnugk 2.0.5 installation to become able to use some H323 hardware that needs a gatekeeper (particulary an Ericsson WebSwitch 100). We have managed asterisk to dial H323 endpoints successfully (although calls are interrupted immediately after connection with "spawn extension exited non-zero"), but we could not

Chan_h323 & gnugk
Ok, I've managed to get inbound and outbound calling to work with chan_h323 and gnugk. A few questions: 1) if I do a reload in *, chan_h323 loses its registration with gnugk, and will no longer pass calls to it. A second reload will crash *. Is this supposed to be? 2) For a configuration in h323.conf like: [office] type=h323 prefix=9 context=outbound I get a message saying:

H323 - Gatekeeper - asterisk - SIP config problems
After much reading and fiddling - I have the gnugk GateKeeper running and can make calls from the H323 phone to the sip phone. Voice works bi-directionally.. Calling from SIP to H323 gives me a problem... Both gnuGK and Asterisk are on the same box. Someone said this was OK. Others said No. I added a second IP (eth0:1) and told gnuGK that was HOME. How do I lock asterisk to the other (eth0) IP -

chan_h323 as a gatekeeper?
hi IIRC, Jeremy once said that chan_h323 could be used as a gatekeeper but perhaps lacking a few features as compared to gnugk. Is this possible? I have some dlink DPH-100H phoes here for testing, but they require a gatekeeper, and if I can do it, I'd love to keep gnugk out of this. thanks roy

RH9 and h323.conf
Hello everybody, First time installer and I need the lists advice. My plan is to use asterisk PBX with some hardware to terminate my calls coming from several operational gnugk gatekeepers. Do have RH9 and downloaded the latest asterisk from CVS. Compiled according instructions and is running fine. Could hardly find any info on h323 implementation untill the REAME in the channels directory.

gnuGK + h323 Caller ID
Hi, I use with asterisk gnugk a gatekeeper for h323 client. I don't understand why asterisk can't have the H323-ID (callerID). In the gatekeeper's monitor I have this H323-ID but not in asterisk. Does anyone know something about it, or how can I send a caller ID to asterisk ? Rattana -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

PolyCom IP3000, gnugk and * audio problems
Current setup: Polycom IP3000 <-> gnugk <-> asterisk <-> Cisco 7940 Asterisk and gnugk are on 10.20.98.6 IP3000 is H.323, using G.711 (10.20.98.2) 7940 is SIP, using g711ulaw (10.20.98.3) I've been asterisk for a while now, only using SIP devices. I'm happy with that side of things, but I've not used H.323 before this week, in trying to get the IP3000 to work. *
