IAX Peer/auth issues WAS: Netlogic inbound DID issue
Has something changed in the recent modifications to Asterisk that would break dialing of the IAX peer? We're getting these authority failures everywhere. Everything is configured just the way it was half a year ago, this is the message we're getting on the most recent vers of asterisk. Wiki says nothing, nor does the ast-dev list.. -lost Mar 18 12:55:23 NOTICE[3479]: chan_iax2.c:6545

Asterisk Help
Asterisk Users, I am running Asterisk 1.2.13 on Debian Etch with McLeodUSA's T1 service. I have two Netgear switches on my T1 router, one for VOIP and another for data. I use a gigabit switch for all VOIP and a regular 10/100Mbps switch for all data. This morning I saw this message a few times on the Asterisk command line. The lagged cause garbled phone calls. Is my network to

SIP Challenge response bug?
Ok, here's an odd one. I would have opened a bug on this but last time I tried that I got flamed.. :) Problem: When proxy requests digest challenge (SIP) Asterisk responds normally with the exception that for some reason it changes the FROM: (Also changes Contact: )to what's in the original TO: line. Why on earth is it doing this?! It must be a bug, I've gone over my extensions.conf

Netlogic inbound DID issue
Anyone out there using NetLogic DIDs? And have inbound working? I got outbound working, but no joy so far with inbound. Here are the relevant parts from my conf files: iax.conf [general] tos=lowdelay jitterbuffer=no register => username:secret@zoot.netlogic.net [netlogic] type=friend host=dynamic context=sourcekit-main auth=plaintext username= secret= disallow=all allow=ulaw allow=all

Can asterisk accept cleartext auth (uri user:pass) via SIP
Does anyone know if Asterisk can accept cleartext auth (SIP), as in it recv's a call destined to: 1234:blah@har.har.com The problem I'm having is simply for faxing, normal calls come in as g729 and of course we need ULAW for faxes. sip.conf snippet [sipfarm] insecure=very host=blahblah.netlogic.net type=peer context=sip-out username=+18165551212 secret=blah canreinvite=no disallow=all

Music on Hold
Hi, I have trouble getting MOH to work after an upgrade from asterisk 1.4 to 1.6.1.4. The call goes on hold, MOH is started, and then stops right away. Here are the files both of type .raw: Tsunami*CLI> moh show files Class: default File: /etc/asterisk/musiconhold/Fr?d?ric Chopin - Polonaises Op. 40-2 File: /etc/asterisk/musiconhold/Fr?d?ric Chopin - Polonaises Op. 40-1 These files

Asterisk registering with vonage
Hello everyone. I've seen postings for connecting asterisk to vonage but I'm still having trouble achieving that. I have a vonage softphone and I'm trying to register to vonage using asterisk. I have not had any luck. I am behind a firewall. I've successfully gotten xlite to connect and work from the same network. When I change the port setting in [general] to 5061, I am able to

Trouble with T38/Dialogic
Hello, I am working with 1.8.32.2 which I have patched with t38-gateway and PRACK. t38 is tested and working fine with Zoiper client but I can't get the t.38 software from Biscom (FAXCOM) to talk. In my first attempts I found FAXCOM announces that it supports 100rel so I added the PRACK patch hoping that would do the trick. Now it gets a little further but * complains about rejecting a

Child PID's
All, I'm not sure how to word this question but we're noticing a lot of our asterisk boxes no longer have multiple asterisk child processes. i.e. doing a 'ps ax' reveals only 1 asterisk PID when normally I'm used to seeing 8+ .. There is no rhyme or reason to it, and we're using the safe_asterisk script which has always worked in the past. Ast 1.2.4, zap 1.2.4, naturally..

Nufone and Dialing Out
Good evening, I just signed up with Nufone and I am able to receive calls with no problem via my 800 number. Outgoing calls are not going through though. My extensions.conf is as follows: [nufone-out] exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,1,SetCallerID(mynumber) exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,2,Dial(IAX2/user:pass@switch-2.nufone.net/${EXTEN:1}) exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,3,Congestion Whenever I try to

INTERNAL ERROR Report
I have read the BUGS.txt file, used 'testparm' (successfully), and run through all the steps in DIAGNOSIS.txt. I don't see any problems that those tools have identified. The BUGS.txt file indicated that INTERNAL ERROR was almost certainly the result of a bug. I'm hopeful I have sent you the information you need. Let me know if there is something more I need to send. Delay before audio starts
Hi everyone, I'm having a hard time figuring this issue out, we just switched from a T1 PRI to a SIP trunk provider and that's when the issue started. Now when someone forwards all calls on their phone to a cellphone, when a customer calls in, Asterisk correctly calls the cellphone and connects the call, but there is a long delay before the audio starts, basically for the first 6-10

Failover SIP logic
I need some extensions logic assistance, I'm trying to dial out one of multiple SIP trunks, in sequence. I need to detect a busy SIP trunk(I only allow 1 call per trunk) and roll over to a second or third depending on that busy status Here's what I've got for a macro thusfar, but it's not working(fails if the 1st trunk is busy) extensions.conf: [globals] trunk_1 => SIP/trunk1

Fw: INTERNAL ERROR Report
I realized that my choice of options for grep did not do a very good job of including the last error message before the INTERNAL ERROR. I've included it in this email. Unexpected argument-matching when some are missing

In the first, the plot is for y=NULL (so not 'missing' y) In the second case, 10:1 is positionally matched to y despite the intervening 'missing' 'y=' So it
