Hello, I have done some browsing through the wiki and on Google and haven't been able to find anything that looks like what is happening to me. When I start Asterisk by typing "asterisk -vvvc", I get "Illegal instruction" and nothing else. Nothing before and nothing after. This is a Via Cyrix III 667MHz CPU with 192MB RAM running on Slackware 10.1 (Kernel 2.4.29) as a

Problems with VIA Chipset
Hi, I am trying to install asterisk 1.0.7 on a VIA EPIA 5000 board - anyone of you already managed to do so? I got V1.0.6 running, but 1.0.7 seems not to compile. I don?t want to bother you all with output code of the errors I get when I try to compile asterisk; I am just curious if anyone of you made it! Thanks for a quick reply! Sincerely, Armin Lediger

EPIA-M board for Centos
Is there any problems using this board? I have a dead board in a Book-PC (board size 10.5"x6") so am looking for a new board. Actually I want 2 LAN ports. 'Router' boards with enough umph to run Centos are expensive. I can pick up a VIA epia-m with 512Mb memory for $70 including shipping, so this is rather attractive option. I do have a 100Mb low-height PCI board that I

[RFC, PATCH 2/24] i386 Vmi config
Introduce the basic VMI sub-arch configuration dependencies. VMI kernels only are designed to run on modern hardware platforms. As such, they require a working APIC, and do not support some legacy functionality, including APM BIOS, ISA and MCA bus systems, PCI BIOS interfaces, or PnP BIOS (by implication of dropping ISA support). They also require a P6 series CPU. Signed-off-by: Zachary Amsden

CentOS 4.4 on mini-itx
Hi, I have a EPIA mini-itx board that I have been running Fedora 4 on. I want to install CentOS 4.4 on it since FC4 is no longer supported. The install goes fine but when I reboot the machine after the install I get errors like the following: hda:<4>hda: dma_timer_Expiry : dma status == 0x21 There are other errors about not being able to access the disk and eventually the kernel panics.

mini-ITX suggestions
Does anyone have recommendations for (or against) mini-ITX platforms to be used with Wildcard X100P and TDM400P cards? I am considering the use of systems using VIA EPIA CL and Epia M as small, quiet platforms on which to host Asterisk.
