Toshiba DK424 / Asterisk / DTMF problems
I have a Toshiba DK424 connected via T1 E&M to a TE110P card. Intermittently when a user dials a number I am getting 'getdtmf' errors on the Ast server and the calls do not go through. If they dial the number once or twice more, it works fine and I receive no DTMF problems. On another note, end users are complaining about intermittent disconnects. T1 is ESF/B8ZS - 24 chan. Other

Future installation questions - what do I need?
I currently have a Toshiba Strata DK424 with a Stratagy voicemail system (4 ports). I am looking to go from having a receptionist answering the phone to an automated attendant. It appears that Asterisk can be the solution, but I have some questions. Do I just replace the Stratagy with the Asterisk or do I need to reconfigure the routing of the phone lines? Currently, the POTS lines come in to

Extension availabilty
I have a client that has an old Merlin system. They would like to move to an Asterisk based system, however, with their existing system each phone is capable of displaying who is on the phone within there office. This is done by lighting a red light for each line(extension) that is in use. Has anyone been able to neatly create this feature? Perhaps an XML application can be written for the Cisco

Comdial PBX -- can use Asterisk as VM box?
Hi! I've got a Comdial PBX that I would dearly love to replace with an Asterisk box. However, for various reasons, it appears not to be in the cards. Regardless of what management does, or does not, want, our current VM solution -- some Dialogic card with a "KeyVoice" application -- is dying. I'm 90% sure it's hardware. I'd rather shoot myself than replace the

Integration with Toshiba Strata DK424
I'm posting here in case anyone else runs into this and needs some help. I'll probably update the voip-info Wiki pages on Toshiba integration in a bit. Asterisk 1.6 makes things a bit easier than what is on that page. I'm integrating an Asterisk server with a Toshiba Strata system at my office. Right now, it is driving some VoIP phones (Cisco ATAs with analog phones plugged into

Using Vertical IP2007 phones with Asterisk?
I recently inherited a Vertical Xcelerator IP system with IP2007 phones. I would like to use the phones with an Asterisk system instead, but there doesn't seem to be much information on it on Google. Is it even possible? These phones claim that they are SIP phones. Thanks! Kevin -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

usb to usb comm ports - possible? how?
I have an i686 mono core system configured as a CentOS-5.2 server. It has one DB9P RS-232 serial connector and six USB connectors. The DB9p is configuered as STTY0 for the attached MultiTec MT5638ZBA fax modem. I would very much like to connect my MS WindowsXPpro laptop, which only has USB connectors, to this server via telnet or ssh over a direct connection. Is there a way to connect /

pxelinux and Toshiba Portege 2000 problem
Hi - this is more of an FYI than anything else; I think I have alternative ways of installing. pxelinux loads quite happily on the Portege 2000, with boot agent 4.0.18, but when attempting to load the kernel (using tftpd-hpa 0.28 (the -2 Debian package, FWIW)), will receive 20 packets and then loop printing 8000. m.

Toshiba T1910 (CS) - 'Boot failed'
Hi Everyone, When I installed Debian Potato onto a Toshiba Satellite T1910CS about a year and half ago using SYSLINUX everything went well. Now, however, using SYSLINUX that comes with the bootdisk of Debian Woody boot-up stops soon after the floppy is read with a 'Boot failed' message. I've received one email from someone having this trouble about six months ago and I simply

Toshiba Digital Phones -> Asterisk
I am planning an * install at my business. It will be replacing an existing Toshiba system (I think it is a 424dk). I was wondering if anyone knows of a way for me to use my existing Toshiba phones to connect to *. I would rather not have to spend the $15,000 to replace all of my phones, but I can't find any other way to do it. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Robert Jackson

Asterisk ---Toshiba
I set up a TE405P to go T1---*---Toshiba. I have the channels configured, and can place calls from the Toshiba, through * to the t1. Incoming calls work great to *, but if they go to the Toshiba, I get a hangup. I think the * is sending the call to the wrong span. I have 2 spans, span 1 from the T1, span 2 to the Toshiba. The bchannels show as 0/1 through 0/23 on both spans in * when it starts.

X100P and Toshiba PBX
Hi all, I'm dealing with a Toshiba PBX - DK 40 I think it is...The problem is this: If someone dialing in from the PBX (on one of the two X100P cards) goes into a MeetMe conference...Everything is fine, until they hang up - especially if there's music on hold - the line is held open because Asterisk does not know the far end hung up. I have it set to fxo_ls right now for signalling.

Toshiba Strata DK-280 support?
Hi everyone, Been reading up on Asterisk, and very interested in learning more. I've googled and read the archives and haven't found anything definitive on support for this phone system. We have a fairly large investment in the system itself and the phones, but would love to get away from the voicemail system it forces on us. Can anyone provide any feedback on using this system with

integration with Toshiba PBX system
Hi, I am currently integrating our company's Toshiba PBX with the Asterisk version 1.2.1. I bought Quad T1 card, and making the port 1 to connect to PSTN PRI (use "pri_cpe" in zaptel.conf") and making the port 3 to connect to Toshiba PBX (using "pri_net" in zaptel.conf). The first stage goal is to just adding the Asterisk relay between PSTN and Toshiba system. The

CentOS-6 on Toshiba Toughbook CF-31
I am contemplating getting a couple of these for company use. However, I am also trying to wean our entire company away from MicroSoft (and from Apple for that matter). So, I would like to use one of these systems to try out CentOS as an alternative OS. Does anyone here have any experience with running CentOS-6 (RHEL6) on this computer? Is any of the hardware rendered inoperative or otherwise
