Does anyone know how to use the DND feature oc Cisco 7940/7960
Hi all, I have looked at cisco docs and it says DND is set by pressing the services button and choosing DND. Does anyone know how to configure DND in the services.xml file. I've googled around and not found anything. When you enable it in SIPDefault.cnf it just allows you to use it once. Many thanks for all your amazing work. Daniel Niasoff

Cisco 7960 upgrade from SKINNY load
Here's a clip of comments lifted from a Cisco bug list. This will be perhaps useful to those of you who have just purchased a Cisco phone off eBay. Re: Problem converting a Cisco 7960 to SIP
Hello all, I've got myself into a bizzare situation that I can't seem to get myself out of... Was wondering if anyone had some advice that might get me 'over the hill' on this... Some background: PBX consists of an Asterisk box (running TrixBox), 4 Cisco 7960's, 2 Polycom IP500's, and now an additional Cisco 7960. The phones are all on a separate LAN. There is

Suppress "Missed Calls" 7960 SIP
Does anyone know how to suppress the "Missed Calls" indication -- perhaps on a per-line basis -- on the 7960 running SIP? Reason: I've configured a group of extensions to ring for inbound calls and it seems pointless to accrue missed calls on those line presentations. /rg

Cisco 7960 won't register
Hello all, I've got a Cisco 7960 running version 7.4 firmware (heard there were problems with 7.5) and I can't get it to register with Asterisk. I've stripped down my configs on the phone to a bare minimum, and posted them below. Basically, the Cisco phone sends absolutely no packets to the proxy when it gets booted. If I make an outgoing call I see traffic getting to Asterisk, but

Cisco 7960 tftp question
Hello, and thank you for your time answering my question. I have a Cisco 7960 running SIP firmware POS3-06-X-XX. If I want to upload SIP configurations via *.cnf file from my tftp server, do I need to include the OS79XX.TXT and P0S3-06-X-XX.bin to the tftp server root directory to be uploaded every time the phone reboots? Thanks again for your help. Oliver

cisco 7960 not registering after * restart
Hello, When I restart asterisk the cisco 7960/7940 phones (sip fw 7.5) fail to re-register themselves with asterisk, even though I put "timer_register_expires: 60" in SIPDefault.cnf Is there a way to have these phones register themselves every 60 seconds? Alternatively, can asterisk be made to "remember" its dynamic sip hosts' registration after a restart? Thanks,

FW: Cisco 7960 (SIP) hold problems
ala cisco 7960 -----Original Message----- From: Matt Schulte Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 10:34 AM To: 'Paul A Brown' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7960 (SIP) hold problems Sure thing, the biggest problem I had was getting the SIP filenames working correctly for updating the firmware (blah, I love Cisco but these phones are a joke for support). This works for me! Good luck.

Cisco 7960 Support Products
I just tried to order the CON-SNT-CP7960 part from CDW. This is the ~$8 1yr support contract that's supposed to give access to the Cisco download site for firmware for the 7960 . wellll, I got a call from CDW saying that Cisco wouldn't authorize them to sell that product to me. The sales rep conferenced me in with the CDW Cisco person and he explained that CON-SNT-CP7960 is an
